State income tax at 8% and high property taxes in upstate NY impact your ROI so much its hardly worth investing .A two fam is a good start for first time buyers

I’m looking to invest in Albany Real Estate . I’m saving now. This video just helped me. Thanks guys. Keep giving concrete information. Although “arbor hill” isn’t the ideal neighborhood should i invest in the area far as rental income? How much would I need to start investing
BLANCO From The BRONX Hey Blanco. I would stay away from Arbor Hill. Yes, it’s the cheapest area to buy in, but it is also the hardest to manage tenants and if you want to do any significant rehab, be prepared to deal with the code enforcement from hell in the City of Albany. There are definitely better options to invest in the Capital Region, Troy, Cohoes, Watervliet, to name a few. You can still find reasonably priced deals there. The amount of money you need will depend on what size building you want to buy and the location. You can buy in the areas I mentioned, or if you want something more upscale, you can try looking in the suburbs around Albany and Colinie. Succeed REI Thanks For Responding. I’m not looking to relocate just invest particularly in pine hills and center square etc. I would be driving back n forth from the city so I would like to zone in on one area.
