That's incorrect. Play GTA IV and get to the mission where you sell drugs with Johnny and Playboy X in Broker but it is an ambush. That's the first mission Niko can enter Algonquin and replay TLAD. Johnny first mission with Elizabeta is the same mission.
The beginning of TLaD takes place before Jason Michaels dies. Which means Niko is still working for Fauston and Dimitri so the bridges aren't open yet.
GTA IV's Jim model was used as The Unnamed Biker in GTA IV and until this day I don't know why Rockstar used The Unnamed Biker's model as Jim Fitzgerald in the original GTA IV
What probably happened is they maybe didn't settle for a final design in time for the release of vanilla GTA 4, after all Johnny and Luis also have different appereances in their DLCs compared to vanilla GTA 4, but they also might not have had a fully finished story for Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony when GTA 4 got released, and finished them later when they ended developed on the DLC campaigns, so at one point the guy was probably meant to be a generic biker guy but they decided later in the DLC development to replace him with a plot relevant supporting character, there was some basic planning of how the stories would intersect with each other, but not exactly how each of them would unfold outside of the bits where the stories clash.
Another inconsistency is the way Jerry Kapowitz found the diamonds. In GTA IV, he's stated as finding them in the dump (after they were tossed into a dump truck). However, at the end of GTA TBOGT, he finds them in a knocked-over trash can in Meadows Park.
rockstar has a history of making continuity errors,Jim in gta 4 is suppose to be the same man from TLAD that Niko killed,originally before the DLC's came out,the lost biker gang,all looked like a stereotypical all white biker gang.
they didn't foresee the futur design or the future stories of these characters when they made these models for the nicko story, there was a will to do story DLC but nothing was fixed, until when the focus was on supporting those secondary characters, they a lso gain experience and an understanding of the engine, what you see as a player that say it's continuity errors so it's abnormal is understandable from a video game developer point of view and work, it's incremental, and going back will be a waste of money and man/hours works... some are just design choice like the 12 shots and don't aim necessarly to realism but more to symbolism, but i guess the dramatic pause was for the reload but they didn't put the animation for constraint or not (just symbol). you'll never find perfect continuity in fiction cross story for big media like this one, gta or not, when your story is +1000 pages, and +200 people working on it, plot hole will always occur.
Don't forget that one mission for Liz in GTA iv and lost and damned I forgot what it was called but chronically it makes no since. I think it's something like toll where Elizabeth gets arrested before that mission. It's only available after Bully gets arrested and Billy gets arrested after three lead clover. Niko can't do that because he hasn't done snow storm.

Josh Flynn you’d be surprised what people can withstand as an EMT that’s actually pretty accurate in some cases. Seen people shot up to 15 times and still be able to call 911 and stand up , just pure luck on the vitals honestly

I thought the same thing for years. Even in GTA 5, you drive up to the farm as Trevor where you clearly see that black guy from the GTA 4 Lost and Damned say "This better be bullshit!" before they drive off on their bikes but you don't see him again after they arrive at the trailer park, either.

The way I see it it's based on the characters perspectives. Jim wasn't a key character to Niko so maybe Niko remembers him or thinks of him differently. This would explain why to Niko. Johnny's tattoos and jacket isn't as detailed as it should be. This might also explain how Phills arm changes too. Remember your playing the characters story and as people, we all remember things differently even if it happens to be incorrect.
Hidden Easter Egg: Niko shoots 12 rounds in GTA IV, in GTA Online the weapon returns as the .50 pistol with a extended (12 round) magazine as an attachment option.
-I doubted if Niko WALKS around LC, as the most of the original GTA 4 players always DRIVE here and there. -Miguel might have an ability to return to hospital after "playing dead" in LCS, just like GTA protagonists. (Johnny Klebitz might still be alive in GTA V lol)

there is explanations for how the protagonists does not know how to swim and why there are no bikes in gta 3 , supposedly in vice city there are lot of sharks , that is why nobody can swim , in gta 3 water is so unclean that its dangerous and there are no bikes in gta 3 because of some law that banned them , i remember i read it somewhere long time ago but i dont remember where

GTA 5 has gotten pretty sad tbh, rockstar has gotten too update happy on a game that’s 7 years old.. but what the people want is GTA 6. The updates are mildly enjoyable for maybe a week but don’t offer much that’s “new” and then I don’t revisit GTA 5 for maybe 3 or 4 months again. And even now when I just revisited the game for the first time since last October I only got any real amusement for about a half hour.. and you know a game is struggling when the company behind it bribes gamers with $250-500,000 of online money just for logging on.
Jaeden Gutierrez haven’t played gta online in like 3 yrs but I’m watching my brother play now & all I see is these dudes killing each other w/ no purpose. I would love to play online & complete some missions & I wouldn’t mind doing them solo. But of course I feel like random ppl online will ruin my experience 🤦🏾♂️

The reason Niko fires 12 rounds is for all 12 members of his unit that died.
All he had to do, was to reload the damn pistol!
