As often with a new game to the channel, starting off nice and easy! Hopefully anyone, even with no experience of painting, will be able to follow along with the tutorial and get some models painted! Anyone got any better paint schemes for this little fella?
I have been using the same scraping tool for many many years. The difference between using a xacto/scalpel and the scraper is a thin blade will "chatter" across the surface of the plastic, if you are not careful. This can cause worse marks than the seam itself. The scraper's thick blade doesn't allow for chattering.
That's pretty much how I painted mine, made it a little darker. I remember looking for inspiration and stumbled across the official painted mini, which had them like blue and yellow? So bizarre since none of the artwork or description of these things ever mentioned them being a technicolor nightmare :p Good job.
Well luckily that seemed to be the only one that was radically different from what I've painted (pretty much everything). I think there was a few that I wasn't super keen on, but at least they had the right idea going.
I’ve already done one :-) but it’s about to be on Patreon at the moment. So it will be on TH-cam at some point in the future, not sure when though :-( but have no fear, they are coming, and checkout Patreon if you’d like them in advance. Spoiler: it’s an investigator next!
Picked this game up at a yard sale, 1st edition, haven't painted any yet. I let you take a run at most everything first:) Hey check out this brush soap, masters brush cleaner. Made by general pencil co. If you could try it out for a couple weeks and let me know your opinion. And yes paint up some of the mansions, they didn't look to detail heavy and it would be neat to see. Great job love the channel
Oh really nice! I’m yet to find a good second hand game in any thrift style buy. I do need to get some brush soap! I’ll look into it this evening. Glad you like the channel! :-)

Thank for this amazing video. I'm not good with painting and it's so nice to watch videos of people teaching how to paint.
No problem! Thanks for dropping us a comment :-) just about to do the voice over for the next MoM tutorial :-)
I would like to see more Mansion of Madness painting 🐉🖌️🎨
That’s good timing. I was just thinking I should do some more from this game!

Oooh. I didn’t know that, pretty good bonus for using the tool! :-)
@@WatchItPaintIt Where can I pick up one of these scrapers?

Haha. I noticed that too! Sooo weird. I’m like to stick to the artwork way too much for their official ones to be nothing close upsets me :-(

Try drilling a descretely placed hole where the mini would connect to the base and super glue a paperclip in.
Really love this game! Nice work!
I’ve still yet to play it, do I need to get on that?
Yes! In some mission (start mission) spam more time!
Did you use a primer before you painted this?
Yes - sometimes we don't mention it, be we always use a primer first.
@@WatchItPaintIt thank you. I’m new to miniature painting, so it’s good to know the process :)
How Long do you let each step dry?
Base coat was a few minutes, wash was probably around an hour, and dry brushing drys almost instantly.
free rein, like reins of a horse, you are free to do as you please.
when a new video for mansion ??
