My grandmother always decorated her tree for Valentine's and then took down, which I loved:) I do that to this day. It has nothing to do with me taking forever to put Christmas away...
I have a home office and I purchased a 4.5' white pre-lit tree from Amazon. I change out the ornaments for each holiday. I am just getting ready to take down the ornaments for Christmas and put up my red, pink and silver heart ornaments. I use some tulle and wrap it around the bottom of the tree, changing colors for the holidays. I started it last year and now I have ornaments for every holiday. My red, white and blue stars stay up the longest. Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day. I love my tree and it leaves a little sparkle in my days! I hope you leave it up!! My ornaments were purchased on Amazon.
Leslie, when I was a teenager my Gram taught me that if I lightly scorched rice, potatoes or crowder peas I could take the heal of a loaf of bread and place it on top of your potatoes or etc. listed above and remove the bread before serving. This helps take the scorched taste or smell away. It really is a great tip. Happy New Year to You & Your Family. Please Pray for our Country and Presidency of 2024. ❤
i would take the tree down...love the valentine stuff.... use your creative jucises for valentines day. i like the idea of usoing things from christmas dept to decorate for valentines day.i worked in a florists for 15 yrs. so there is a lot of tricks for using the christmas stuff for valentines.
I really needed to hear this! Thank you so very much for sharing! I had a son first, but I was with child a second time two years after his birth! I didn’t know the gender of our baby either. However, in strong prayer, I kept leaning towards the name that we had picked out. I’m crying right along with you both! It brought me comfort because I’ve never gotten over the loss of my child. I take comfort in knowing that my child rests in the arms of the Lord! I do feel strongly that our baby was a girl. In my head, I named our daughter Ava Elisabeth! Should our baby been a boy, we decided on the name Michael Richard.
Leslie, you could find a green tree or just a branch tree and put white lights on it and put some valentines decorations and the Easter stuff on it too or just leave lights on it . I think that would look good too instead of Christmas 🎄 tree .
Potato Soup is a tradition for us. We use leftove diced Christmas ham with sprinkle of chives on top. Your Yukon Gold spuds look amazing will make your soup with bacon soon. I would take your tree down aim for more spring season look.
Leslie you look pretty in that coat Your soup and rolls look yummy. Will have to make it... please remember me in prayer jan. 8th.i have to have a heart cath, done. Blessings
Me and my mom tree up i always joked About keeping the Christmas tree all year around. And just put different holiday them stuff on the Christmas tree.
I keep my Mantle decorated all year . I put up Fairy light's and i can change them with my remote to what ever color i want for my theam and then change out my Decor . I love the glow of the light's.
Shalom Leslie and Bryant! I haven't posted a comment in a minute. I have really enjoyed vlogmas,no matter what the subject matter has been. I agree to take the Christmas tree down, but would like some kind of lights kept lit for the seasons. What about some sort of twiggy tree that has either white or an earthy shade branches? Or a topiary tree? God bless from Southern California!
No!!!!! Leave it up and decorate it for rhe next holiday. You will have fun changing it out for the new holidays to come. And if an when you get tired of changing it you will just put it away. I just think it will be neat to change out every so often. The soup is one of our go to meals for the colder weather. Although we live in Florida and it's not been to soupy season yet. But yours made me want to fix a pot and by the way Leslie if you've never added cauliflower to your tater soup you should try it, so so good. Thanks for sharing. God bless. See you in the next one
If I had a tree that size, I would leave that thinner tree up and change the decorations according to the season. I always wanted to do that in my home. I too like the white lights on, especially during the winter months. I leave my Christmas tree up till late in February just to brighten up the house.
I'd take it down so Christmas remains special 😊 I love the idea of decorating for the season! Just find something special for that season to decorate. Thank you cor all you do for us!!! Have a blessed new year!
Soup looks delicious. I have a tall skinny tree in my dining room with twink lights and decorated per holiday season. Love it. The real tree we get for Christmas is our special tree. Keep your tree up and have fun with it. Life is short.
I think honoring Christ’s birth at Christmas time with a decorated tree is very special and should be kept for that time of year. Decorate the mantle for other known observances - like Valentines Day, Memorial Day, Halloween. But - maybe keep that tree up with no ornaments until Easter to celebrate the Risen Christ. Keep the tree up for a couple weeks anfter that and then take it down until next Christmas. God bless.
Yes! I'm the first view. I don't know what I'll do with myself without new videos. It has been so refreshing and joyous to follow your Christmas holiday. -overwhelmed mama of a 4 and 5 year old whose house also looks like a disaster after Christmas!!
If you didn't want to do a big tree you could do a smaller one on a table or your counter top. but I do like the idea of keeping some lights up. that is what my mama does.
I watched this video and you made me want potato soup so bad. So...I went into the kitchen and made us some. It was so good. Thanks for planting the idea in my brain.
Well here in Louisiana we are already converting Christmas trees to Mardi Gras trees!!! So whatever you do will be beautiful!! Can’t wait to try the soup!!
About 12 years ago I kept my 7 ft artificial tree with white lights set up all the way into Mother's Day decorated it for New Year's then I decorated it for Valentine's Day then I decorated it for Saint Patrick's Day then I decorated for Easter and it was beautiful. And then I did Springtime Mother's Day my teenage daughter walked in the house and says Mom when are you taking the tree down it's starting to get Dusty? Hahaha but all the memories we had in so much fun decorating it for each holiday
Your soup and rolls, Miss Leslie, are making my mouth water! Delicious! Mom and I LOVED your Hobby Lobby haul too. We think the tree would be beautiful left up and decorated according to season. 💖✝️
Every video you do for us is comforting and wonderful. I love you. The tree could be a year round decoration, but, I think you would get tired of cleaning around it. The soup and rolls look yummy.
🌹Hey Leslie and Pastor Bryant, ...whenever you run out of things to give us just film some of the environment over there with the trees, etc. Not all of us see the beauty that you are daily accustomed to. N. Carolina at its finest! I'd be happy with that! Btw, today is my birthday. Been under attack for several months. (The worst). Life changing! Just got news today that GOD is good and now my future looks brighter! Right on my birthday of all days! Imagine that! Bless you folks for sharing with us your unusual and usual days! Love from Los Angeles.
I think you’ll get tired of year round Christmas tree. As the seasons change and life gets out of hand, you probably won’t want to be sweating and wearing shorts thinking about decorating the tree. Belated Christmas blessings to your whole family. May this new year bring abundant blessings and good health to everyone.
I'm on team " take down the tree" artificial trees get really dusty and icky if left up. So hard to get and keep clean! There are so many other ways to get a cute look.
I remember when you bought that tree. You had it in the dinning room in the corner by the window facing the kitchen. I remember Easter decorations on it. I would take it down and use it for Christmas. You can always buy something else to light up. Your potato soup and rolls look delicious. ❤Charlene
Tree down. Love the apple cider press. Christmas trees are more special when not used year round. I don’t like Valentine’s Day. My grandfather died on Feb. 14 then several years later my dad died on Feb. 13. Prior to that it was kinda a sad time for me because my EX was never affectionate, considerate or respectful of me. Was just another day, often filled with tears.
I used to decorate for everything, every holiday when my children were small. Im 71 now, children grown. I've been a Christian for many years, so I really searched my heart and all about the holidays and most are pagan. Valentines and Halloween are 2 i don't care to decorate anymore. Jus'sayin. Not telling anyone what to do or think, this is my repentance. Love your videos ❤
I love love love hobby lobby!!! I bought a recipe book that you can add recipe cards in and fixed it up for my Daughter for Christmas with all our family recipes. She can add to it anytime she finds a new recipe she wants to keep!! They had extra recipe cards and the plastic pages you could add in with pockets the cards fit in to anytime you want. Almost like a 3 ring binder notebook. It was such a special gift and she loved it! Super affordable too, even with the extras i got for it!
That's what i made the day after Christmas, Potato soup, We finished it up today. I was watching Miss Lori From Whippoorwill Hollow, and she just made a loaf of Irish soda bread, so I wrote that down , I think I may go and make that, It looked very easy.. Anyway I'm glad you all had a wonderful Christmas, Congratulations on the new baby, I will be praying for girl. Love you guys.
I plan on making potato soup tomorrow. We love it. I found a crockpot ham and potato soup recipe and I made after Thanksgiving and we loved it. I would love to try your rolls with it. I took my Christmas stuff down yesterday and it made me sad because I love them. But now I’m glad I have it finished. I have enjoyed your videos so much..
lori since you love lites and trees and want it simple and easy .... go out in the woods... get a charlie brown "christmas tree " thats all branches...like birch, and stick in that floral foam in a container put moss around it and hang ur decor each season just put it in a different place when christmas comes.
I think you should take the big Christmas tree down, it is gorgeous, but if you leave it up year-round, even decorated for the occasion it won’t be as special when you put it up at Christmas. What you might want to do is replace it with a small skinny tree maybe 2 to 3 feet tall and then decorate that for the season, i.e. purple and gold for Mardi Gras, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial day, etc. I think using a smaller tree it will be easier to decorate, easier to maintain, and more appreciated. Love what you got at hobby lobby and I wish you all a happy new year.
I know you have decided to take your tree down but I just wanted to share that I have a pencil tree in the corner of my dining room. I do not have any Santa decorations on it. I have Angel’s, doves, stars, anything, to do with nature, some Love, joy, faith, & peace (small pillow type decorations.) on it. Some small churches, nativity scenes & snowmen. I call it my scripture tree. I really love it it is top with an angel. I never take it down and it stays lighted all year.
I love potato soup. If you haven’t posted that recipe please do. And also the new roll recipe! Yes it is special to take out at Christmas and yes you can put lights anywhere but do what brings you joy. It will be beautiful either way.
Gee the soup looked so good!! I have lights around my mantel and the everyday greenery and the fireplace that we don’t use. I may go to hobby lobby and look around. Got what I wanted on the Christmas sale but haven’t looked at valentines yet.
I think you should leave it up and decorate for the seasons. Im going to do that this year. The boys would love it. Walmart has some heart ornaments and you could use things the boys make.❤❤❤❤ Love potato soup.
❤ i can't believe as close as i live and the places we go, i haven't run into you guys yet. I was just at teactor supply myself. One day!!! ❤ this video, too. I sure am going to miss these daily videos.
My daughter has a tree about 3-4 foot tall she decorates for every holiday and if there is enough time in between she has her Americana decor she puts on it I love seeing the decorations on it
I think it would be fun to keep your tree up all year and change it for the different holidays/ seasons. Another channel I watch does it and it's so cute.
I also love the lights at Christmas and enjoy the glow in the house. But I would take the tree down because it makes it special when you take it out at Christmas time instead why not add some bare branches with twinkle lights in a vase or a base that you createsthis is what I’m planning on doing. Hope this helps.
Took all my Christmas stuff down today its hard when your 74 and no one to help, I didn’t do a tree, selling most of my Christmas stuff, I’m not putting things up next year,
I’m sure going to miss watching y’all everyday but I also know is a lot of work. That potato soup looked delicious. I’m making it tomorrow. Hope to see y’all not this Sunday but next.❤️🙏 Praying for Caroline and the baby! Congratulations to you all.
Thankyou for vlogmas 35 the potato soup looked delicious and the rolls were amazing loved your stuff from hobby lobby so cute thank you for sharing Leslie see you tomarrow God Loves you and so I 🥰❤️🙏🏻
I think you should do what gives you pleasure, especially if it affects you negatively by taking it down. You could start out leaving the tree up and maybe you’ll feel better about taking it down in a few weeks.
Hi Leslie and Pastor Bryant! That potato soup and homemade rolls looked delicious! Levi and Judah were enjoying that meal, especially Judah lol I get so sad when it’s time to take our tree down. We have been known to leave it up until February lol The lights make me feel better in the winter, especially the bleak months of January and February. Last year we kept our outside lights up until March, because just seeing them outside my bedroom window helps me so much. If I had an artificial tree, I think we would keep it up and decorate for other holidays, or just at least keep the pretty lights on. I love you guys, God bless you all 🤗🙏❤️🎄
Yes leave it up and change the decorations!!! I know alot of people that do the very same thing!!! With a small tree!!! God Bless Us All!!!

We leave our Christmas tree, lights, and decor up until Epiphany (Jan 6th) when the Wise Men came. It is also known as the season of lights.

Yum, I'll have to add your potato soup recipe to my make list. I love potato soup.
Your soup and rolls, Miss Leslie, are making my mouth water! Delicious! Mom and I LOVED your Hobby Lobby haul too. We think the tree would be beautiful left up and decorated according to season. 💖✝️
I have thoroughly enjoyed your "Vlogmas". Thank you. Maybe you can try the tree just through Valentine's Day and see how you feel then. :)
Take it down, put a smaller tree inside the press with lights.👌🏻and maybe garland.
Keep the tree up change for seasons. A lot of people do that. Love to watch your viogmas.❤❤
Every video you do for us is comforting and wonderful. I love you. The tree could be a year round decoration, but, I think you would get tired of cleaning around it. The soup and rolls look yummy.
I would keep the tree up until valentines. Then take it down until next Christmas.
Just keep the Christmas lights on until the 1st, adds a wonderful backdrop to your videos
I have bought myself a kitchenaid mixer. Now I need to learn to use it.
You can do it!
Enjoy watching you.

Have you thought about getting a grapevine tree? My brother has one that's about 5ft tall. They decorate for the different holidays.
I used to decorate for everything, every holiday when my children were small. Im 71 now, children grown. I've been a Christian for many years, so I really searched my heart and all about the holidays and most are pagan. Valentines and Halloween are 2 i don't care to decorate anymore. Jus'sayin. So glad to see you both! You, my friends, just make my day. I went to hobby lobe today, and got 66% off all Christmas.
Hello family
Put a pretty house plant where the tree is and put lights in it!
I really enjoy your videos. I would love to see another video with Caroline of your favorite items.

I kept a pencil tree up year round and loved it. Now I want potato soup!
Hey Leslie, I think you should make your Christmas tree, a valentine tree. Just remove the Christmas ornaments and add valentine ornaments
My sister leaves her tree up all year. It’s in a corner so works perfectly. Tater soup is perfect for this cold weather.
I keep instant potatoes in my pantry for 2 reasons. I add them to my dinner roll recipe & I use them to thicken my potato soup.

Potato soup sounds so good today. I wish I had time to make rolls too!
I would like a small tree to keep up, in the corner of kitchen or dining room but not sure I want a big one or one in the middle of the room
Vlogmas has been so fun! I would take down the tree and keep it special for Christmas!
I love potato soup. If you haven’t posted that recipe please do. And also the new roll recipe!
Yes it is special to take out at Christmas and yes you can put lights anywhere but do what brings you joy. It will be beautiful either way.
Just do a small table top tree to change out for the seasons
Gee the soup looked so good!! I have lights around my mantel and the everyday greenery and the fireplace that we don’t use. I may go to hobby lobby and look around. Got what I wanted on the Christmas sale but haven’t looked at valentines yet.
Happy New Year
I think you should leave it up and decorate for the seasons. Im going to do that this year. The boys would love it. Walmart has some heart ornaments and you could use things the boys make.❤❤❤❤

Take the tree down…will look forward more to putting it up next Christmas. I love your Valentine decorations too. Happy New Year 🥳
I took all my decorations down and put them away Wednesday. The soup and rolls looked delicious! ♥️

I love your haul! I have had a tree up for several years but I've decided to take it down tomorrow. How's the quilting going?
Not much happening on the quilting front right now
