    Thanks for this video! Just adding certain activities to my itinerary. I’ll be going to Bangkok later this year and the activities I had in mind were only 3 so this video helped.
    Thanks! Safe travels mate.

    I went to many malls, several temples, including the Grand Palace, several other attractions, took boat rides, rode the BTS train, visited her family, went to different markets, but one thing that stood out was the MASSIVE HEAT WAVE that has hit Thailand during the month of April! In fact, there were many warnings throughout Thailand to drink lots of water and stay indoors.

    Good evening Arsen. Just got back a couple of days ago from Thailand after spending 2 weeks with my lovely Thai girlfriend. It was a great adventure, while also touring Bangkok and her hometown and meeting her wonderful family!
    Thanks for all of your informative videos as I plan to return there in October to be with her again.

    After KL, Bangkok is my next favourite city that I have travelled to. Although I don't go to clubs and bars, the city has so much vibrancy about it. Visiting the temples along the river is a must do, but I have been on sky decks at Baiyoke Tower and King Power Mahankhon Building to see the views of the city. Asiatique Riverfront is beautiful at night, and doing the Chao Praya River Cruise especially at night is incredible. I have also been to Lumphini Park which is nice and relaxing especially getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Worth doing the day trip to Ayutthaya too

    Wat Pho is an old temple south of the Grand Palace. It is also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha rebuilt by King Rama III in 1832. The King also decreed that traditional Thai massage and traditional medicine be inscribed on stone tablets to disseminate the knowledge to the general public. The famous Thai spa and massage are believed to originate from such stone inscription. King Rama III was also known as Merchant Prince because when he was still a prince he conducted trade with China and asked the ship captain to bring back stone sculptures such as Chinese deities, mythical beasts as stabilizing balance in the ship's belly. These stone sculptures are now commonly seen at Wat Pho, Wat Arun and the Grand Palace. When President Obama had only one day to tour a Thai temple, US Embassy recommended this temple due to its unique architecture, history and beautiful reclining Buddha.
    Note all three famous temples: Wat Phra Kaew in the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, there are two Yaksa (Hindu/Buddhist giant deity) Guardians at the entrance of the temple.

      What have you heard?
      Thailand has and always been safe. Just use regular commons sense and you will have no issues.
      Regards,
      A frequent visitor(2-3 times/year.)

    Good day.
    what are the entry documents needed to enter Thailand right now?
    from South Africa?

    • @ter1413
      @ter1413 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you hold a S African passport, you are eligible for a 30 day visa exemption. So your passport needs to be valid, you need POOT(proof of onward travel) and you need to show proof of funds(I have never been asked) for your trip.
