Yes they are in the same area . Pratunam market main entrance is petchaburi soi 21 and just at the opposite side of the road is platinum fashion mall. Enjoy
There are many veg restaurants in bkk and Phuket and krabi all in the popular touristic areas no worries you can enjoy your holidays with veg food .... greetings from Thailand
You don't have to stay near the grand palace they all can reached by public transportation but if you insist to be near there are two good hotels one called river arun Bangkok and the other one baan wanglang riverside both 4 to 5 star hotels. Last year there were storage on the entrance you had to put your shoes there and take it back when you are out. Now they made a better way so that there won't be any losses , they give you a bag to put your shoes and take it with you inside once you out you give them the bag back and if lost you pay 20 Baht.
Is there a ferry coming from wat arun back to wat pho? Or how to go back to wat pho from wat arun? We would like to have a massage in wat pho after visiting wat arun

After Wat Arun, take the ferry to IconSiam -> take ferry to Yaowarat (Chinatown) -> take taxi to Khaosan Road.

Notice some attractions need to remove shoes.... do they have proper storage location

I want to know subway MRT Sanam Chai station ,Saam Yord station line.i want to go China Town(Yaowarat)
Why you don't take to mrt Hua Lhampung and from there you walk 5 min to china town
This can be covered in one day if you skip the malls
