My wife and I will be be traveling to Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) and have watched more than 100 TH-cam videos. I have to say that Rick and Andrea are the most informative, easy to listen to, and overall valuable videos we have found. Thank you travel addicts. Keep up the good work
Excellent!!!! I've pretty much planned my upcoming honeymoon based off of your videos :) Can you do one for Florence and Venice? Or about what places to eat in those areas? Love you guys!
We will be stay in Rome for 2 days in April-2025 and then go on a 10 days cruise from Civitavechia. The info about transportation is very informative. Thank you ! Travel Addicts. You guys are so awesome!
@@TravelAddictsLife I totally agree! We are struggling with how to affordably get back and forth from the port and how to see the most important things in just 13 hours!! Thanks for the videos!
Fantastic video! So many good tips. I originally thought to take the train from the airport to city center because other videos claim the taxi drivers might scam you, but at a set rate, I don’t see how they can. Also, do you typically tip for a service : for example the taxi or the waiter? Thanks again! Off to watch your other videos! 👍🏼
We are going on a cruise at the end of January to Italy (stopping in Rome, Naples, and Sicily) and Greece. I wonder if you have any thoughts about going in the winter? Thanks for the very informative videos! Very helpful!
Great video with plenty of valuable information. I plan to retire in Italy and have been researching multiple regions from Tuscany, to Abruzzo, to Puglia. Rome will always have my heart, but is cost prohibitive for the long term. Wishing you both all the best!
I just found you guys today and I love you. Awesome tours. My sister and I have been traveling to Italy 🇮🇹 and Sicily. Our grandfather was born in Sferracavallo, Sicily. 3 trips in the last 2 years. Venice, Milan, Verona, and Murano is in our next trip next spring. With all that said, my only issue with you is the fact you don’t show us food when you are eating out. Yes Food is one of our favorite pastimes on our Italy 🇮🇹 trips. So there it is. Love you guys and looking forward to more of your Italy trips. Have you been to Sicily? Safe travells, a new fan 🐞❤️🇮🇹🌻
Thank you for your video. Loved the information. I will check out your other video's. Planning on coming September 2025. Would like to plan everything myself for me and my husband. However it might be better booking a package deal with a tour company? 🇨🇦
@@TravelAddictsLife no problem! You 2 did a super informative video! I can’t wait to go to get a roasted artichoke! We will definitely go to that area!
I keep hearing the term "skip the line" tickets. But aren't all tickets bought online in advance the same thing? Or are there really tickets that are printed " skip the line"? If so, how are they different? I mean don't you still have to wait in line with others who purchased tickets in advance? Thanks!
Ciao! Regarding transportation from the airport to the city center, I know you recommended the train. We will be traveling with a family of 5, so would it be more cost effective to get a taxi or a private driver? Is the €50 taxi fee per person?
I have heard that rome will be one big construction site this year. is there any trued to that? if so, will they pause the works in the summer months like most other tourist city's do?
Hi! Thank you for the great info. We are landing in FCO Rome at 2pm. We are staying in an Airbnb in Civitavecchia that evening before our cruise. Do you think it will be possible to do a tour of the Vatican before heading to our accommodations? Or is this cutting things too close? If you recommend going straight to Civitavecchia, which train would you suggest from FCO?
Hello there if your plane lands at 2pm it will be very difficult to do a tour of the Vatican on the same day. From FCO to Civitavecchia you can take the Leonardo express train to Termini station in Rome then change train for Civitavecchia.
Very informative video. Just wanted to check how much does the skip the line tickets would cost in typical as compared to regular ones. Also, is vegetarian food easily available at local restaurants ? How much would a typical meal at a local restaurants costs in Rome ?
Thank you, the skip the lines cost a little more but it depends on the attraction but they are worth it. Vegetarian options are pretty easy to find. The price of meals depends on the type of restaurant and on what you eat and drink
Thank you for your help! We are visiting Rome, Florence, and Venice with train transport. Do most hotels have set check-in and check-out times? If so, what do we do with our luggage if we arrive before check-in time? Love your videos!

Hello there, thank you for the comment. The difference in price depends on the place you want to go. There are always vegetarian options at restaurants. At a local restaurant in Rome, outside of the touristy area, costs between 25 and 45 euros depends on what you eat and drink

For 5 people a taxi is probably more cost effective you are right.

They are digging for the new subway line, mostly of the construction is in one area near Piazza Venezia

What about the Almalfi coast? Is it worth a day trip?
The Amalfi Coast from Rome is quite far and you will end up spending more time on transfer than on the coast itself.

Are the taxi flat rates per person? Example: from the airport would it be $50 Euro for 3 people or $150 euro? Thank you
No the fare is per car

The Leonardo Express goes back and forth from Rome to Fiumicino Airport

For the Vatican museums and the Colosseum you usually do.
