Congrats on being official. We are coming back to Venice again in October this year from Canada. Love it there. Thank you for all your videos and tips etc. Keep making great videos.
Good morning g I am travelling first time to Venice which net work of mobile phone work I am from Uk can I use my phone Vince where can get best signals you did not mention in your v log thanks
You have so many great tips and it’s hard to find a non tourist trap restaurant- but a very small local restaurant- good for 2-3 people sit down is Osteria Al Cicheto for dinner- you can get Cicheto as a bite to eat with some wine for lunch it very close when getting off the train station, it’s the perfect 1st stop. Service is excellent- you can tell the service staff and the locals love one another. It’s fantastic to see.
Ok so at @19:02 you cover my comment-which I posted early in video (but the beginning is confusing.) Comment: Allelaguna is not the cheapest vaporetto or even the everyday one! The regular vaporetto's are a different company ACTV. Allelaguna runs a smaller # of things routes, and is fine for those few things. But you want the ACTV pass that goes grand canal, around VEnice and to outer islands and is cheaper. Basically the analogy is one is like your city buses: ACTV, and one is more like the limited route commuter bus. 2. Re staying in Gieudecca (sp) it's like being in Jersey City, looking at NY, yes you have to take a vaporetto across to St. Marks, but benefits are it's quiet, lovely and the view as I mentioned is amazing- you are looking across at Venice. I loved visiting it and would happily stay there, if you want quiet at end of the day. You guys are great.
Salve! Excellent and important information, loved the part of the different areas of Venice to stay (Accommodations) We are visiting Venice end of April. I have shared your video with my family, Grazie!
Very entertaining and informative loaded with practical tips. Thank you. A question - when travelling through Italy by train, ( April ) is it necessary to book tickets in advance or can you safely purchase them on the day of travel ? Kind regards.
Thank you for your comment 😃For high speed trains it is always better to buy the. 45-35 days in advance to get better prices, regular trains you can buy them the day of traveling because the price is always the same.

I'm loving your videos! My second trip to Venice is soon. This time I'm taking the Alilaguna from the VCE/Marco Polo airport but the first time I took the public bus. The bus is cheaper but most likely not as scenic. I don't recall that you mentioned taking the bus from the VCE airport in this video.
Salve Andrea e Rick. I enjoy and appreciate your videos. I’m hoping to return to Venice and introduce my partner to its many wonderful attractions and sights. I’m looking for suggestions for things to do or see for someone who is returning for a second, third or more times. It sounds like you both have been many times. What do you look forward to when returning to a familiar city like Venice? Maybe an idea for a future video! The same question could be asked regarding places like Rome, Florence etc. Thanks again for your time and effort in producing these videos. La vostra amica canadese.
You can take the Alilaguna Vaporetto that takes you frpom the city center to the airport. Here is the timetable www.alilaguna.it/en/lines/linea-blu/orario
Thank you for the very useful video! I will go sightseeing in Venice for about a week from September 14th. What kind of clothes do you recommend going? I live in Japan, so I don't know the weather in Venice.
The weather is changing right now and it is supposed to cool down quite a bit. You can bring summer clothes with a light jacket and you will be fine. By the way stay tuned because this week we will post another video about Venice 👍🏻
@@TravelAddictsLife Thank you for the advice on what to wear! It was very helpful. And, will we see another new video about Venice this week? I am very much looking forward to it😄
Hi Rick and Andrea! Can you please recommend NON Alcoholic beverages? Are they served in a wine glass and anything popular that is not with alcohol? Thank you both!! Love your channel!!!
One of our favorite non alcoholic drink is called Crodino you can have the red berry one called “frutti rossi” of the citrus version called “agrumi” it is really good.
Perfect timing! Love your videos, very informative! Are there any particular tours you recommend? I have found a couple of tours where a gondola ride is included. Also, for the vaporetto pass, is that a prepaid card? One more thing, I know this is not Venice related, but do you have any recommendations for a castle hotel in Florence? TIA! Btw, congrats on the invitation by the Italian Ministry of Tourism🎉
Thank you so much 😊 the Vaporetto card is a pass and you can use it as many times as you like. We don’t know any castle but we can do some research for you 😃
Thank you for all your wonderful, informative and interesting videos. I was wondering if you have some suggestions for the best place to get a gondola. I would to see mostly smaller picturesque canals and not run into a gondola traffic jam 😂
Ciao Andrea & Rick! Thank you for your tips! I'm planning to take the Alilaguna from VCE to Venice. Do they only take cash in the airport arrivals hall? Should we purchase tickets on Alilaguna's website before the trip? You recommended to buy a Vaporetto pass for our entire stay in the video, do you recommend buying the passes before the trip or after arrival in Venice? Is the official tourism website the only place to purchase the Vaporetto passes? Grazie mille.
Hello there, thank you for your comment 🙏we always like to buy tickets before we depart just to be ready, however for the vaporetto you can buy them whine you arrive in Veni at any of the automated kiosks. It is totally up to you.
Thanks for a great video guys. Me and my husband are visiting Venice in July (for my birthday) and it's a Saturday (I know it's going to be crazy busy) we want to do a private gondola. Would you recommend we pre book this or are we ok to turn up on the day? If we should pre book, do you have a recommendation on which website or company we should use?
Thank you for your comment. Being July and Saturday we strongly recommend you to prebook your gondola ride, otherwise you could wait in line for a very long time. We used this site to book: readysetitaly.com/venice-gondola and we had very good experiences. Let us know how your trip goes,
Very helpful video! Do you know how the paid airport shuttles to/ from airport/hotel works?. I’m going in early June and my hotel in the St. Mark’s District. provides unpaid shuttle service
Hello! I have discovered your channel while preparing for our trip this coming September. We're only staying in Venice for 2 days - arriving from Rome on the first day and leaving by night train at 9pm the following day. You suggested getting a local tour guide at the end of this video. Are you able to recommend the one that you've used? Thanks!
Be aware that google often suggests to walk as this is generally quicker. Check the map if you are tired and really want to take a vaporetto :) Line number 1 is the slow one. Dont underestimate the time it takes through the grand canal. Avoid being dependant on that line. I would recommend staying near a station of line 2 or 6 unless you are prepared to walk. It can be busy in the evening when everyone leaves Venice and when the vaporetto is full and nobody leaves at your station you will not be allowed to enter (so far i have seen this happen only on stations that are line 1 - only)
Love you guys and love your videos. I was wondering if the mainland Mestre train station is close to the Marco Polo Airport. Is it within walking distance making it easy to ride the train into S.Lucia train station ?
Grazie! Regarding the "skip the line" vendors--there are so many, it's hard to tell if they are legitimate. Any tips on booking with legit STL vendors?

Any tips on Venice Christmas markets?
Hello there, we have nefver been to the Venice Christmas markets, but our next video will talk about the Bolzano ones.
Thank you for your videos on Venice. Would you recommend a first time visitor to Venice to join a tour group or go solo work as well?
It all depends on what you want to see, with a group you’ll probably have less research to do
