I have been dithering around trying to decide whether to buy a laser engraver. This video pushed me over the edge, so I bought one. Very happy with it. I was up and running within 15 minutes of its arrival. I don't like machines that are science projects. Now I can take those scraps layong around my shop, and the sawmill slabs can be turned into spectacular pieces. Incidently, Jason ----- you now sold me on two machines. I followed in your footsteps first with the LT35HD and now with the WeCreat. Keep upnthe good work!!!
That’s awesome! Congratulations! You’ve chosen two great machines. Good luck with them both!
Very nice! You are becoming a laser pro!
Very cool Machine Jason!
That's awesome Jason!
Thank you! I definitely agree!
I received this machine for Christmas and LOVE it! I use it almost everyday!
That’s awesome! It’s such a great machine.
Snazzy 😮 very nice 😊
That is a really sweet machine. Never wanted a laser burner but now I'm having second thoughts. Very nice. Thank you.
The WeCreat folks have really thought this thing out. It’ll make a pro out of anyone!
i cant wait to get one, next month, great work
You’re going to love it! It’s an amazing machine!
Cool tool
Just ordered off the affiliate link and a rotary too. Valentine sale and a new buyer discount. Awesome looking machine. Now its just waiting for the unit!
Awesome! Thank you! I just used it to engrave a new bowl and it worked perfectly. Stay tuned for the video!
That is awesome! I'm sure the kids will love seeing their artwork on those. Very cool piece of equipment. Wish I had the time to get into stuff like that
Thank you! My son said his classmates really enjoyed them.
real nice
You are really into the laser engraving.
I do a lot more of it than I ever expected to, that’s for sure!
Sweet little new toy Jason this will be fun to watch you work with it✌️ Napa California
Thank you, Sean!
You keep this up and that teacher is going to be giving you even more "homework"!!!! Those look great!
I would’ve done better in school if my homework had been this fun!😂
You do realize you are working harder now than you did when you were running machinery? That is a very nice piece of equipment. The good thing about it is you are having a lot of fun, and every day you decide what kind of job you want to do. Whether it be sawing, working on your truck, turning a nice piece on the lathe, or using you laser machines. You have the best of all worlds right now. Looking forward to your upcoming videos.
Thank you, Howard! I have quite the variety coming up soon. It’s nice to hear that you appreciate it. Again, thank you.
Cool machine, wondering what you might make next!
It is! I actually helped a buddy make a really cool Valentine’s gift for his girlfriend today. I wish I would’ve had it done for the video. I might have to make one for my bride😉
Nice laser. If it also did IR for metal etc it would be a cool. 1064nm IR diodes are very handy.
very cool, wish I could afford it
I hear ya. It’s a chunk of change for sure but at the same time, it’s a ton of machine for the price.
Interesting, Jason. I normally don't watch review videos but you convinced me to check this one out.
Bill
Thank you, Bill! The only thing this machine doesn’t do is remind me to reverse a clip…. Which I forgot to do!!😂
@@NorthwestSawyer I was waiting but it never happened. Smoke rolling from the machine outside was a great opportunity.
@@williamellis8993 Bill, I think I need to start sending you my videos before I release them. The smoke scene would’ve been perfect! 🤩
@@NorthwestSawyer Do you want my email lol?
Omg, if this does rock, I'm gonna go broke dude.😂 Great Video!🥳😎✌️
It’s so good, Nick! And yes, I’ve engraved rocks!🤣🤣🤣
@NorthwestSawyer your killing me....🥹 No more laser engravers!!!😈 haha🤪😎👍
Are you able to cut other materials such as stencil material?
Absolutely. I’ve cut card stock before to use as stencils.
Buck Rodgers and the 21st century HOOHAA! Jason zapping into the 22nd century with LASERs. Who would have guessed? Great video Jason thumbs up. Oh, I want the version of the machine that automatically flips the on switch. 🤣
Ha! I even emailed the company saying it wouldn’t turn on!!! Boy did I feel like a tool!😂😂😂
@@NorthwestSawyer I have spent hours staring at things wondering why the stupid thing won't work only to realize that there was a screw loose in the operator! The struggle is real Jason I'm right behind you. My trouble shooting now begins with 1 is it plugged in? and 2 Is it turned on? Then and only then do I go deeper into the trouble shooting rabbit hole. 🤔
So this seems to be great for smaller pieces. What do you use for larger projects such as your workbench top?
I use one of my open frame machines.
Who's a happy boy then, I can see you delighted with this new machine and why not, it works a treat and I'm sure it will give you and us watching a lot of fun, enjoy.
Thank you! I’ll be honest, I was pretty jealous of Phil when I saw it on his channel. I thought, “hey!?! Where’s mine???”😂😂😂
Yes quite where is yours and now you have one, brilliant. A wise choice as you use these lasers a lot. Have fun.
👋🏻
👍👍
👍👍👍
Hello NWS. For bigger pieces, do you think that you may have to use the laser that you showed a few videos ago? Now I think I might want both.
That is definitely the case. The open frame lasers can be set on a table of unlimited size but the Vision is unbeatable where you need precision. I made a really neat Valentine’s piece for a buddy of mine to give to his girlfriend. I actually used both lasers to create it.
@@NorthwestSawyer I thought so. My products are all industrial wood products. The scrap that I make things out of can be bigger. I really might have to get both.
@@JoshuaCarlsen I wish I knew how neat this project was going to come out. It really would’ve demonstrated the strengths of both machines.
The difference between men and boys….(you know the rest)! 😁
@NorthwestSawyer I am building a wall mounted coat rack. I am making it out of scrap redwood. The area I will need to laser is 21" x 21" . I will not be using all of that space. I think I might get the creality laser first.
How is it compared to a Glowforge?
I don’t have any experience with the Glowforge, personally, but I watched comparison videos favoring the WeCreat.
Did the run actually take the full 1:54 to run?
To be honest, I don’t know. I was working on other things and noticed it had finished. I set up the next batch and went back to whatever else I was doing. It was nice to set it and forget it.
But first this message from our sponsor
Gotta keep the lights on!😉
What's the cost please?
They have specials running all the time but I believe the laser is $1,299.99 which is $400 off of the regular price. If you use the link in the description, you may save more. I have to say, compared to my other lasers, this is a lot of machine for the money.
Nice one I think the list of parents sent the email for help was 1- Northwest Sawyer 2- ?????????????????????????
Well played, teachers…. Well played😂😂😂
I am pretty sure you will be building a dust proof room for that equipment. Saw dust and electronics don't get along.
I would definitely like to get my electronics into a separate area. New project!!!!😉
Jason it looks an amazing bit of kit but $2k to a pensioner is like $2 million
This machine is under $1,200 USD. It’s a lot of machine for that price, honestly.
2 hours to engrave such an easy task seems very very slow. It's like we are back in 3D printing speed.
The speed is on par with most diode lasers. However, if you factor in the ability to set up 7 or 8 at once, and know exactly how they’ll look when finished, I think it’s a major time-saver. I was able to run the project and then work on other things.
I hear you, and that is of course an important factor. I'm just very surprised that a fiber laser, that isn't that more expensive can do the same task in mere minutes.@@NorthwestSawyer
Holy crap, how are people supposed to make a profit if it takes 2 hours to do 6 coasters? This machine is way to slow. Cool interface but to slow.
This doesn’t claim to be a production laser. It claims to be very eased to use. And it is. You’re going to spend 15 times more on a CO2 production laser.
@@NorthwestSawyer If anyone is looking for a machine that will make them money look somewhere else. There are a lot of other machines that are 50 times better that will do 6 coaster in about 10 minutes compared to this 2 hours it took you. And those machines are around $2,000.
