Great looking nest, and nice review. As regarding the loose "chamber" seperators, try fitting silicone "O" rings over the turn pegs, you can buy them on line in verious sizes!
These nests are beautifully made and is a natural product. Many wooden products will crack as they age but as others have said if small should be okay Would love to try one out - do they export to Australia?
Looks perfect for Colobopsis , the Colobopsis's with flat faces . Go and keep a Colobopsis , they are interesting and fun , queen is also semi-claustral . Colobopsis Explodens I caught before , they are aggressive if disturbed and faces are flat . Has ability to rip itself apart to explode . Keep this ant , its fun .
Caught one before , it is sick looking , flat face . I caught a queen but released cuz idk how to keep . Not even Ant Malaysia know how to keep nor Antscanada . If you can keep then congrats . Explodens is so far a interesting one but dangerous.
Well, mine cracked after a month. Still in use, the crack is small, lets hope it stays so. I don't want to bash the company, the nests are really beautiful but this risk with pure wood I think everyone needs to take in consideration. I must say I was not ryl aware of this and if I would have, I would have probably not bought the nest because I don't need supplementary headaches :) At some point I will move the ants and will repair and reuse the nest. I hope the crack does not grow bigger as long as the ants are still inside :) But all this I will let you know on my channel at some point :)

Hello AntsNotes, have you been irrigating the nest directly with water? If yes, that could've been the reason why it cracked. The best way to irrigate it without damaging the wood is to attach a test tube with water directly to one of the entry holes. For larger colonies, a test tube with water or a liquid feeder placed in the arena will suffice.
@@foranto No, I didn't water it at all, that much I know and aware of :) I also attached a test tube in the begining but the ants where not interested. Yes, they take the water from outside. I had bad luck with this one. I also have a smaller one from you. That one is doing fine :)
no water? that means you should only use the Tubes and not wet Cotton (what I saw in an other unboxing Video of foranto)... Thank you for this Video. I now know where I have to buy a new cool Nest for next year :D

stick a tooth pick or little wedge in the doors. that way they will locked into place but easily undone.
