How can anyone put a thumbs down on this - this guy is being straight forward and exact in this vid, he is not showing off or trying to to be flash, he is just showing you how to play the song - big thank you mate as I have to sing this at m6 aunties funeral and your is the only tutorial that is right .thanks
Thanks for this, Bryce. Been playing (and teaching) guitar for many years, but just recently acquired a ukelele after several requests from my students. Of course, this was the first song I wanted to learn as it brings back memories. Joe Brown lived about 1/2 mile from my house when I grew up, in the "Sultan" pub in Plaistow, London. I was a bit younger but I remember him being friends with my older sisters and brother. I remember him coming to our house when I was just a kid. He was always such nice, cheerful kind of bloke. I'm in my 60's now, and living in Connecticut, USA, but I still remember growing up in the east end.
Very Nice. You could make the awkward D7 D D9 a lot easier by holding your original D7 shape and use your ring and little fingers to fret the D and D9 in exactly the same way you do for the F F6 Fmaj7 sequence
This is a really excellent tutorial I've loved learning this one. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it in such a straightforward way Bryce. :-)
Can't believe I've only just discovered this excellent tutorial. I've seen loads but this yours is way clearer, way easier to follow and you've cleared up some doubts I had in my playing. Top drawer! Thank you. 😊 I've subscribed
thanks Tony, i'm only 24 hours into uku-yelling and its fantastic (i play the guitar for all my life wich does help of course). the thing that confuses, is when you think you play de D chord it actually is a G and the G is a C etc. Anyway i just love this little instrument!
Just realized I've spent the whole morning of the first day of 2020 looking at his open fly :D Looks like I'm going to spend the whole day looking at his open fly today. What a weird way to start a new decade :D

At 3:28, you said "D flat minor 6", but it should be "B flat minor 6". You had me confused for a while.

Hello, just wondering if you could share the copy of the music for this song please. Thank you for your video.
Could you give the strumming pattern for this great video.Thanks.

That is how all the best players play this song. Just make sure no one can see your plectrum.
Great lesson thanks, though I was slightly distracted by your open fly

I too would love a copy of your song sheet please?
Nice! Thanks.
Is the song sheet you were showing at the beginning available for d/l somewhere?
How do I get a copy of your songsheet please?
Does anyone know what the finger picking pattern is in the instrumental part ?
Nothing like a bit of fresh air round the balls when playing the ukelele
There was already a comment made about his fly being open, which I rolled my eyes at. This little gem made me burst out laughing!
😂
malvina ps 😂😂😂😂😂😂thank you! You make my day! 😂🎉🎶

No idea where to get the PDF file.
fmaj 7 does sound odd, is it necessary to hit the a note coz it sounds prickish.
seems like the kauairainbow.com link for the pdf file doesn't currently work. Anyone know where else this can be found?

“ The Flashing Minstrel “
Your flys are undone
Play and sing the whole thing IN THE BEGINNING.
Donde están los acordes? Por favor?
Arlekyn Paranoico Los menciona
pdfsnow.com/view/4869989
It's Dadd9, not D7add9. If you played the 7 it would be a D9.
Is it me, or are you Joe in disguise?
Uh, your garage door’s open…
Calling out chords as you play them could be very helpful.
Dead men don't fall out of open windows 😄
Great lesson, but, in the future, keep your fly closed, please...
JESUS HERNANDEZ HERNANDEZ Nothing shows, no big deal you're big boy, not a blushing Rosy cheeks shy lady from the Victorian era. 👰
we can see your g string man lol for god sake
Good Tutorial, only spoiled by the obvious distraction, that you fly was a bit undone
