To revive the Witch Queen, we need a Witch of our own. Eris takes it upon herself to shed her human form, and become a true Hive. As a master of Hive Arcana, Eris has ascended to become Hive. Now, we tithe our power to Eris as an offering to bring the Witch Queen, Savathun, back to us. We must conquer Xivu and resurrect the Queen of Cunning.

This kinda confirms my many-years-old suspicion/theory that "Hive" while being a race is also kind of state of being. Eris turning into a Hive proves that anyone from any race can do it with a right ritual.
Seeing that the same essentially happens to the krill when the worm gods essentially leveled them up, that seems to be more true than ever.
I loved how our guardian graps Immaru and is ready to kill him.
Bitch gotta know his place, one squeeze and hes back inside the traveler contemplating lol.
Our guardians are like “will you just shut the fuck up before I crush you into itty bitty pieces?”

through this entire scene the only thing i kept thinking was "holy shit...Cade's fear of her becoming a hive god and feeding him to her minions was fucking justified?!" "Also how tf did he call that?!"

@@AmalGum001Eris becoming a hive God was part of Elsie Bray's dark timeline. So it's been planned at least since beyond light.

Eris Morn the Last becomes a hive is a pretty dope cutscene. Gives up her humanity and I hope she doesn't regret this choice.
I'm 90% sure she's dying this season ain't no way they're killing Xivu off from a season.
she enjoys it though she honor her fallen comrades as hive god of vengeance and instead being feeder she feed of our enemies and worms just pray power don't corrupt her like big smoke

Immaru was talking all sorts of shit to us and getting us to do his dirty work during witch queen so seeing our guardian grab him and threatened to kill him for talking shit was so satisfying

Seeing Immaru next too our guardian makes me wish that we get a hive ghost shell released soon.
There's one in game now but it looks nothing like the rest sadly.
You can get a "hive-ish" shell by completing Savathun's Spire on Legend difficulty. It's a Triumph. It's a static shell, tho...no movement, nothing like the usual hive shells we've seen so far. Only cool thing is it has the sounds from the hive when you pull it out...and the green eye.

I mean at this point the Guardian has downed a Worm God, Two Hive Gods, Three Disciples of the Witness, and a reality bending space Dragon, did we really need Eris to gamble this hard towards Dark Future
I think this is more towards going after the Witness, because right now we don't have any way of going through the portal that the Witness made in the Traveler.
Also, a problem that Elsie kept running into was that if they deviated too far from the Dark Future, then we'd lose anyways. It's not about avoiding the Dark Future, it's about skimming that silver line between failure and failure.
Was not expecting this from Bungie but god damn this is insane! 🤯

They went down into the dark below but only one came back. It wasn't Eris Morn; she had perished alongside her fireteam. What returned was driven by vengeance and misery.
The little look and growl he gives you when you release him is hilarious
Great editing for a vid to just showcase the cutscene! Showing the short battle beforehand leading to the cutscene, and the new Eris shopkeep NPC, was pretty thoughtful.
Scene kinda looses it's "OOMPH" when apparently Eris can turn back to normal any time

OK, this is actually kind of a brilliant twist that allows her to follow the Hive’s own rules against them
Even tho i heard the rumours about eris becoming a hive i fear shes going to let the worms feast on her as her power will be too great and thus her mind will disipate amd only she wants to bring ruin i hope she knows what shes doing because god the drifter will be mortified if we brought her down due to hive magics overcoming her consciousness
she suppose represent the truth and vengeance plus she reveling in absorbing her enemies powers and souls and deaths etc following sword logic as long we get her overcome xivu wrath technically all hive have to bend their knee to her upset maybe lucent hive etc. we can still have hive fight scorn tho lol and dont forget erimis fallens etc and dark cabals
It’s worth keeping in mind that the ascendant hive all retain themselves, and given that we tithe to her and no one else, Eris is Ascendant.

I'm still wondering how EXACTLY she became a hive GOD, and not just A hive.
There was a vacancy, with the savathun stepping down. Someone had to take her place. And it's better to have an ally than the alternative. 😮

I haven’t played destiny in a while so what’s the context? How did things come to this for eris?
Phew long story,
but to summarize it: The leader of the Darkness, the Witness, went inside the Traveler.
The Vanguard have no way to go in, meanwhile Xivu Arath, Hive Goddess of war, sister of Oryx and Savathun and the Witness's general, is wreaking havok around the solar system.
The only one that knows how to go inside the Traveler is Savathun, but she is dead and the only one to revive her is her Ghost, Immaru.
Immaru is willing to revive her, but under the condition that we kill Xivu Arath first.
So Eris and the Guardian have to resort to do a Hive ritual to make Eris a Hive Goddess so she can face off Xivu Arath.
But in order to gain enough power to do so they have to kill as many foes in Savathun's spire, which she has kindly left for us (it's almost like she anticipated this, what a suprise).
It's sure seems alot to take in but I hope it's enough to keep you up to date

she was technically part hive now she a full hive god like mara sov but more hive like because her power and strength is truth and vengeance and consuming our enemies she anchor to us with artifact we use we feed her power from deaths of our enemies and she enjoys killing enemy worms
I believe all she did was fully embrace her Vengeance which allow her to become fully hive. Not part as we've seen for years.
@@ThePhoenix329actually, I think that she only transforms when she is in the rune circle, as she mentioned in this video, and there is dialogue with Ikora that happens after this mission where she has her normal human voice and not her hive god voice and, in the same conversation, Ikora mentions that she doesn’t like when Eris does those “transformations”
