    I have been growing my hair since May 2022 and have tried numerous (expensive!) shampoos. None made my hair look healthy. I have been using Johnsons baby shampoo and Pantene Superfood conditioner for about a month now. My hair looks and feels healthy and, even though I shampoo daily, it does not appear oily or distressed in the morning. Just my opinion but this is the best combination I have used thus far.

      Hi, do you use the conditioner on your hair routs/scalp also?
      And do you use the baby shampoo just one time?
      And does this shampoo makes your hair less oily in comparison with regular shampoo?
      Hope to hear. :)

      I use a small amount of shampoo and work through my hair, then rinse. I then follow with another shampooing with the baby shampoo. I then apply conditioner, working from ends to roots. Hope this helps.

      That’s one thing I’ve never used was baby shampoo.. even growing up we alway used “ grownup” shampoo ….when I was a young boy and if I stayed at my grandmothers house , I remember her shampooing my hair with her Breck shampoo which I hated .. She took me to her hairdresser once for a haircut which was very awkward sitting in a beauty shop with geriatric ladies . .. and even more embarrassing , I got shampooed by some old lady working there .. she used a very floral smelling shampoo on me . I must of been around 12-13 and don’t know why they had to wash my hair then and thought they’d use a milder maybe baby shampoo . They probably didn’t get many younger kids in there for haircuts … but I still have a good full head of hair after years of using regular shampoo.

    This is such nonsense. I am a chemist and exactly for this reasons I use baby shampoo. Firstly as he said, pH of a baby shampoo is 7 so is neutra, hence it’s like washing with only water leaving the adult hair pH unaltered. This aspect is very important as there are biochemical reasons why adult’s skin has lower pH, trying to change this just mess up blood flow in the scalp, so hair loss. Second and more important reason, the overall ingredients in baby shampoo are much much better than any adult shampoos except the very expensive ones, so why pay a lot of money for adult shampoo while you get those active ingredients from a baby shampoo already? Of course there will other ingredients that ‘might’ be in adults’ that are not in the baby’s ones but there are not any evidence that they do any benefits. The best would be to wash your hair less, so using a baby shampoo of pH 7 will allow you to wash your hair more often without disrupting the biochemistry of the scalp.

    I been using this since the start of high school when I was 12. I am now 22. I recently been testing others. Johnson is the only one which keeps my hair normal and healthy looking for several days at a time. The other shampoo's I've tested so far causes my hair to be extremely greasy and acne to break out on a sever scale. I have been trying to switch lately but the benefits from Johnsons is just super. I don't use much though each time with a single bottle lasting me months at a time and sometimes a entire year so that might help. Saying it's bad is one thing but just basing it on PH is another. How much you wash your hair, the water, your lifestyle, the amount used, your diet, genes all contribute. My mother has weak hair where my fathers side has extremely strong hair by nature. What works on one person might not work on another. The same in reverse. Genetics, diet and lifestyle has the biggest effect and it's something people always overlook. My genetics makes me age slowly and have long thick hair all over my body. My diet causes it to get greasy and dirty within 24-48 hours easily. My lifestyle is sort or easy but I do weekly swimming which probably weakens my hair a bit. All this contributes to hair heath as well as other health.

    This is why people end up with so much misinformation. People without the correct training think just thinking pulling from s recent study or even meta-analysis is enough to come to a conclusion and often ignore the surounding factors. This and tiktok derms making unnuanced claims makes it so hard for people just tryna take care of themselves 😔

      I don't know which brand is good for you in your country.
      But from my experience, sometimes my mother wash my hair, and sometimes I wash myself.
      My mother uses a lot of shampoo, because she was a hair dresser in the past, and strongly believe that you need the shampoo to bubble for your hair to be clean. Arguing with her is like talking to a dementia patient.
      I bought Head and Shoulders Shampoo, which bubbles less due to the formula, but she uses so much shampoo that my scalp dried up completely. This gave me a lot of dandruff and itchy head. It is so bad, sometimes big flake of skin fall from my hair.
      When I wash my hair myself with the same shampoo, I do not get any problems. I think it is because I use a normal amount of shampoo. And my flake and dandruff stop. The itch is gone obviously.
      The way I shampoo, is just to make sure that I rub the shampoo against all of my scalp and cover my hair. But I do not worry about bubbles. If I wanted a shampoo that bubbles, I could just buy a shampoo with ingredients like SLS sulfate and ammonium laureth sulfate.

    • @AKIRA-we4hd
      @AKIRA-we4hd 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      another thing is, I am not sure what is happening to your scalp.
      But oil can feed bacteria and fungal, so there can be other problems.
      I would recommend using an anti bacterial soap like Lifebuoy and Dettol, once every few days to wash your scalp. It works, as long as you did not bleach your hair, because bleach hair is prone to breaking whatever you do.
      It is real that anti bacterial soap kills bacteria, because I did an experiment washing my arm pits. If I leave AB soap on my arm pits for 3 - 5 minutes, I go for 24 hours without bathing, and I still do not smell my arm pit, even if I wipe it to check. The key to killing the bacteria is leaving AB soap on for about 5 minute like a mask.
      During the wait, I would wash my face with face wash. Use a FOREO cleansing device from another brand only $5 I think. I use the Fake FOREO to massage my face, to feel a spa and facial experience to relax. The timer is 3 minutes before it switch off the vibration automatically. So it works like a timer for me to know, when to wash off my face wash and body wash.
      TH-cam Channel - Doctorly said that you don't need anything and can just use hands to wash face.

    • @hellokittydoll2794
      @hellokittydoll2794 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Of course you may use sulfates! I don't see why you couldn't use an ACV rinse after shampooing but make sure you use filtered water and also check the PH to make sure it's right. You can fry your hair over time if the PH is wrong. I air dry my hair typically and my hair is really healthy. Just be gentle with your hair while it's wet. Of course you may blow dry as well. It's really up to your preference. Make sure to not use super hot heat too close to your scalp or aim the heat in one spot for too long as that can damage your hair/scalp. Use a low heat or cool/cold setting moving the blow dryer around and not holding too close to your hair. A heat protectant for blow drying is also very helpful! I love the Redken Big Blowout one for when I do dry my hair with a hot tool. I am not a doctor or expert of any kind just a haircare lover. I hope this helps. ❤❤❤❤

I would at least skip the ACV rinse one day but if the PH is correct for your scalp and it works well for you with no hair or scalp issues it may be okay? I would just proceed with caution. Pay attention to your hair and skin. You should NEVER be losing handfuls of hair, having scalp irritations, etc. So I would just take it slow and if you get any signs that your body isn't liking it abort mission. 😂 No hair experiement is worth ruining your hair or scalp for!

So, maybe not every adult hair has high pH, or maybe some ingredient in the baby shampoo helps balance the pH.

      THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO CURE DANDRUFF! It works every time! Only once or twice is necessary, depending on the severity. On your scalp, massage pure tea tree oil. This product is extremely effective at treating dandruff, inflammation, itching, and other skin conditions. Let it sit for a couple of hours or more. Shampoo and condition as usual; at the end, rinse with mixed 1/3 parts AC Vinegar & the rest water. This will neutralize whatever is on your scalp. Only twice in my life have I had dandruff, and I did this remedy both times.

      I heard that for the New Johnson Baby Shampoo, they remove the Sulfate ingredient, because of some Woke people complaining about it. The Shampoo used to bubble better because of SLS (Sulfate).
      The new formula could be more gentle and bubble less, because of formula change. But you don't need Shampoo to bubble for it to be clean. It is like using certain face wash, and they don't bubble either, but clean the face properly.
      Just make sure you rub the shampoo all over your scalp and hair, and then massage your head for a few minutes for the Shampoo to kill Dandruff fungal and bacteria. For me, I use a hair scrubber made for use with shampoo, but actually for massaging your head, you can use any comb that is bigger (opposite of flat tooth comb). I think they call it Paddle Brush or Datangling hair brush.

    So I need help. I'm 20 years old and I feel like I'm losing hair. It's could be bc of a bad bad series of hair cuts I got 3 years ago. Long story short I went to 2 different barberahops and all 3 of them fucked up my hair. It's been about a year since that happened and I've just recently started getting it trimmed monthly. ( already done it once lol ) but it's all severely uneven. I'm not really sure what to do. I've also had previous addictions that fuck with my hair and genetics so yay. But what's the best way I can take care of my hair with how it is?

      Take zinc supplements and maybe iron if you are a woman. You could try biotin as well or opc pills or msm pills. Take a look that you are not deficient iin any vitamins

    Can i use johnson for oily scalp? A d dandruff? And hair loss?

    • @AKIRA-we4hd
      @AKIRA-we4hd 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it is possible, that you use too much shampoo, in order to make it bubble and foam.
      that is why your scalp is oily and have dandruff.
      get a shampoo with SLS sulfate or ammonium xxx sulfate, if you like bubbles. Or just use normal shampoo but use less shampoo. One pump is enough for average, and 1.5 pump for longer hair.

    Is baby bodywash bad too?

    • @AKIRA-we4hd
      @AKIRA-we4hd 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Just use it.
      Only problem I had, was my mother used to buy me Peach smell.
      I grew up and found out I am slightly allergic to Peach fragrance, which is why I used to have rashes on my legs in my childhood.
      Bodywash compared to shampoo is different. Personally it depends on your needs and body odor. If you sweat and smell bad, I recommend anti bacterial like Dettol and Lifebuoy. Leave body wash on for about 5 minutes, and bacteria that create bad smell reduces a lot. So you smell better.
      Usually female smell alright and male smell worse, but it can depend on your diet of food. And if you drink less water, you can smell bad too. I am female, so I can use other body wash, but I prefer anti bacterial for my arm pits, because I only bath with body wash once a day. Twice a day could be better if I don't use anti bacterial.
