I got one too, went with the carry handle/sight. It’s a smooth shooter, VERY accurate, and I can’t find the blem. I think PSA just wants us all to have quality firearms.
This is my First AR15. I love PSA and what they stand for. I was able to get my PSA AR15 in a Bundle deal. It included, The AR15, Magpul Backup Sites, Vortex Strikefire II Red/Green Dot, 2 Magazines, Ear and eye protection, Cleaning Kit, Carry Bag, and Targets for about $680.00.
Then added 8 more PMAGS, Ammo 500 rounds worth from PSA's Ammo Company AAC, adding Tax and FFL Transfer all in all $790.00 I feel I got it for a steal. I proudly say I love my PSA PA15 Rifle along with my Anderson Kiger 9C handgun by myside.

I did a build like that, 10.5 PSA upper, carry handle sight, super simple, small, lightweight, minImal amount of accessories to go wrong. No batteries to die, lenses to break. I take it camping and cutting firewood and its been beaten and stomped on, rained. And it just works. Its my cheapest, yet favorite AR. PSA's mission statement is extremely based as well. Runs in the face of most of these greedy larperator pavement princess driving, manchild man bun companies.
I along with probably thousands of others have one of these and i am supremely impressed. I routinely achieve 1moa or better at 100 yards with pmc xtac 55 gr fmj, norma 55 grain jhp gets just slightly better on average. Only thing i changed on mine i added a strike industries handguard, stubby fore grip and an armaspec xpdw collapsible stock and 4x30 scope with horshoe reticle, its a grwat and accurate rifle.
You can NOT in anyway go wrong with PSA. I have numerous of their AR’s one of witch is my go to battle rifle. It’s the Freedom with their nickel bore BCG and nickel bore 2 stage trigger with Sig Romeo red dot and it shoots 1 inch group and under at 150 yards Al day long. I will put it up against any Daniel Defense, Rockriver and any $2k rifle any day of the week.. DO NOT BE ASHAMED TO OWN PSA.. you should check out their dagger 9mm as well.

Who doesn't need another $350 AR? Those are the best ones for throwing in the back of the side by side when you are going out to dick around in the woods. You don't care if they get a little scratched

Which scope?
So I'm new to AR's. If I buy this kit do I have to assemble it myself? Does it come with everything necessary to shoot other than an optic? I'm super interested in this but I wanna make sure that I understand what I'm getting.
It comes with everything but an optic, but it does come with a removable carry handle that has a rear sight in it so an optic isn’t 100% necessary and it doesn’t come with a lower receiver. That is the part that has a serial number that you have to get through a licensed firearm dealer and requires a background check. And yes, you would have to assemble yourself.
The only thing you'll need is a lower receiver which has to be purchased at a ffl. It can be practically any lower that's milspec. Anderson are a good cheap option and are typically easy to find in stores. If you want to buy a lower online you just ask a local ffl to receive it for you. Some do it free others may ask for 25$. You can add it on the same order and the site will direct you to local ffls it has already done business with. You can contact one of the ffl stores and just ask if you can have a lower sent from psa. The freedom comes with a built on front sight which means you will need to buy a back iron sight or any other optic to actually aim. Throw a mag in and you're 100%. You will want a cheap castle nut tool, a punch set, and extra set of detent springs and pins minimum. I was in your boat like 6 months ago, so I hope this helps.

I went ahead and bought my PSA complete minis the rear iron sight for $435 delivered to my local FFl so I will have an final fee from my local ffl.
I wanna buy this.. but i do not want a m16 type carry handle. Does the build kit come with that or is that piece apart of the lower i would buy?
