9:58 not round coin is a British 20p coin. We get a lot of those on our beaches. I guess that was dropped by someone who recently visited the UK or was British on holiday in NY. We get the occasional US coin on our beaches too. 👍
Nice, I use have a custom made scoop , you can fit any handle on it and it's very thick stanist steel. It's not that big scoop and quite heavy but it gets the job done.

I have friends in Hophog Long Island NY and try to get up there quite often. Moreover I would like to see the Honey badger sand scoop. I use the T- rex and it keeps breaking. I'll be in long Island in December hopefully we can meet up so I can look at the quality of your scoop. I like to see products in person before making a purchase.

You’re a good man. For saving the fish, karma counts You are right on target with the tarnish rate. I’ve put aluminum cans into rocks on dive sites and in one week the paint is gone, two weeks it’s not shiny and in a month it’s halfway gone. So in a weeks time those coins will be polished by the sand but corrosion would be started
Merrill in one of your recent videos I seem to recall you mentioning that Minelab is planning to introduce a new Equinox. I have not been able to find anything on that. I'm currently running the 800 and am in 2nd year of detecting with it.
Merrill,I would imagine you hail from Long Island and obviously have done extensive beach detecting and analyzing.Umm the minnow you picked up 😂having done a lot of fishing in my day,they don't bite. Went detecting in Jersey last Monday didn't hit the sushi but found a pendant & chain from a prominent designer, a small silver ring about $7 in change and 2 costume jewelry rings.....had a great day,love you mentioned going "back" to a patch i must be on the right track
Another great video. The not so round foreign coin looks like a 20 pence from here in the UK. I agree, the Deus 2 is a great machine I run mine in beach P though as i prefer it a little quieter. Happy hunting Jason
That ring was gorgeous. Are people using dollar coins again? The regular glasses were interesting. I feel bad about them as prescriptions can be expensive. You are still getting comfortable with the Deus II in this video.
The look on your face "dentures I've found them" always put shit like that in your vids I always get a laugh or two when I watch a nyc detecting video.
I'm a little confused about your statement around 2 minutes in concerning, double beeps, shallow double beeps, and double D double beeps. You are using a double D on your deus 2, and I think that was a shallow target. If you have time, could you elaborate a little more? If not, it is ok. I know you can't respond to every comment. Love the vids. Keep on having fun and putting out vids for us to watch!
When an object is at the surface double d coil gives that rapid fire double beep. But I’ve noticed with the Deus that rings CAN give a double tap sound that is not as rapid fire. It wasn’t the case on the gold ring but I’ve noticed it when rings are closer to the surface.
How funny you mention dentures!!!! I actually found an entire gold denture beach detecting once, all the white teeth had gone, but the entire top plate was intact, gold posts to hold the teeth and all, 18k

I liked it so much I bought an extra one that's set up for water. I ran the antenna wire through the shaft. I shortened it and added a connector on the coil side so it's all self contained now.
