Just used this video today to replace my wife's ac compressor in her 2014 sentra, noticed you cut to the after part when removing the lower power supply on the ac compressor lol that one was a real pain for sure. For anyone doing this make sure your connections are tightly made, thought we had a faulty new compressor after installing and no ac clutch engagement. Turned out the connection wasn't pressed all the way in for the ac clutch connection on the compressor. Great video for sure! Keep it up broski, your Killin it with these TH-cam videos! Bro you made it look easy to remove the electric plugs. The black 1 was easy but the grey won't come off. Plus I can't see it thru the grill some cover in the way
excellent video easy to follow I would replaced the a/c seals and a/c dryer canister when you open a/c lines air and humidity might damage the air dryer.
If you get one of those empty blue ac bottles,like the one in that video,And do a vacuum for 1 hrThen hook the AC to it ,it will suck all of the ac out of car.No recovery unit needed.It helps if you can put can in cold water while vacuuming..
Hint, if you take the front grill, not bumper, just the grill, few clips on top and 4 push slide clips on the bottom. Then a small plastic cover and you have straight shot to the compressor. Much easier if you're a DIY
Allim Khan nissans suck they went cheap on everything with these new models. I had a transmission fail after 2 years. Now my ac is messed up. I will never buy another Nissan ever!!!! I lost all trust in the brand and company as a whole
Yup. 2014 Nissan Sentra transmission fail once had to replace. Exhaust manifold completely split in half, replaced that. Catalytic converter just went out so in process of getting that going then BOOM my a/c compressor JUST went out!!!!! I fucking hate Nissan and will never enter their dealerships again!!!!
Dam. My 17 Elantra has 54.000 miles now. Lives in southern California desert area where summer temps run 110 to 125. Bought it in June of 16. Has been flawless. 0 problems. And AC still works great. Come on Nissan, you can do better.

My serpentine belt needed replacement recently. Guy at the fixing place told me my AC Compressor needs to be replaced and that it’s all going to cost $1800. My question is what would cause the serp belt to melt off? My AC works perfect
I don't want a repeat of bolt breaking off like it did when I took hose off the other car. That'd be a hell of a thing to fix. What do you think I should do? Thinking of loosen / tighten it a lil at a time spraying WD 40 all the time doing this.? Back and forth or that might be too much and put more strain on it? Yeah it might not be too bad taking it off, I hope so

I had my AC compressor replaced this past Friday. When i got car back home and reversed into driveway i heard a terrible noise coming from right wheel well. Is it possible the CV joint could have been damaged during the AC compressor repair?
I had the same problem, just got my car back and drove it right back to them and asked why is that noise, they said something abt a belt , now they want me to leave the car there to check… did you get a diagnosis?
@@JulissaDesigns If it's like my old sentra they didn't tension the belt correctly. It uses a manual tensioner on these cars where other cars use automatic tensioners. They should tension the belt for you for free.

They say you're supposed to run them for 10 minutes, once a month, during the winter. If you don't run them for a long time, it can cause hardening, and subsequent failure, of the seals.
@@MrSeeindouble You don't have to be to concerned about running the AC in the winter because it happens automatically whenever you turn the defrost on to the windshield, even though you have it set on heat and not to cool. That's how it removes the moisture from the air is by running the AC compressor.
There is a bolt on top of compressor.... If its new . it has a pink or yellow sticker right over the bolt that says. "add 3 oz of oil here" ...... I just changed mine 1 week ago.....what i need to know is if i was supposed to add oil in the line before i put in the freon??? Do you know anything about putting oil in the line before the freon????
I'm stuck on what should be the easiest part - pushing back the tensioner to loose the belt off of the compressor. Am I missing something? I do exactly what he did, Press in the direction of the back of the car, but it's like even if I put my whole body weight practically, that thing isn't moving. I've changed the compressor in my old 2008 Ford Taurus over a year ago, so I have some basic knowledge of this, but for the life of me I can't make that tensioner budge. Is there something else I need to loosen?

That is a fairly new car I cant believe the ac compressor is bad. The ac compressor should last 8 to 10 years at least.

My 2017 Nissan Sentra AC Compressor fails every year and I have to put in a new one. I’ve had the dealership replace it 3 times so far.

You forgot to mention how did you get the compressor to engage with no freon in the system?
It won't engage without pressure in the system so you need to add freon and the ac compressor will engage automatically
