    I am doing a 2012 Rouge that just quit in the heat. The clutch wont engage, but its just as easy to replace the whole compressor. Im waiting for the Amazon 2 day...but got the original unit out with the priceless help of your video.....Thanks!

    Awesome video man I truly appreciate you taking the time to make it. My daughters 2012 Rouge A/C just quit and I can’t find any other reason except for the clutch being bad. I’m no mechanic by trade although I do my own services & what I feel I can. Only thing I can’t do is recharge the unit. I’m going to replace the dryer and all those parts while it’s out of Freon just to hopefully extend the life of the system. Thanks again!!!

    I was told to replace the condensor at the same time or the compressor will fail in a short time. Is that bogus? There was no mention in your video of that.

    Great video. I am getting a whining noise when the AC is on and backing up while turning the wheel. The shop said the AC compressor is going bad but I'm not sure and that it is putting extra stress on the serpentine belt. There is still a noise with the AC off and in reverse but not as loud. Any suggestions?

    Getting the new belt back is impossible. I finally removed to top alternator mounting bolt and loosened the bottom one and pivoted the alternator forward. The belt now went on.

    • @DavidStrchld
      @DavidStrchld 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought that too but I have found that the tensioner sort of stops retracting at a point but it still has much more it can be pushed back, though quite a bit more fore is needed. Also check if your wrench is contacting anything preventing/hindering a full retraction.

    dont you have to replace the expansion valve for the compressor factory warranty? maybe it's another part of the system. I'm not saying you arent doing it right, I've never replaced one. Just curious if you have heard that before.

    • @NNKH2
      @NNKH2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally you replace the receiver dryer at the same time as the compressor. But this guy just wanted bare minimum

    • @andrewmassengill7505
      @andrewmassengill7505 ปีที่แล้ว

      You cant warranty a compressor without replacing the filter drier and at least cleaning the expansion valve. Kinda the bare minimum for proper professional work. And the not using pag 46 violates the warranty instantly. Not to mention the shadetree oil measurement. Its easy to be fairly precise with. Ive never worked on a rogue and was hoping to save time with accessing the expansion valve. Instead I learned how to tear up a new compressor

  • @Clawbear55

      High side- high pressure low side- low pressure. Temperatures and pressures are related. That’s normal. That’s good. Means it’s working right.

    • @jreina20
      @jreina20 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely low refrigerant. Check pressures and recharge as needed. Low pressures indicate a leak in the system so you should inspect the system and fix the leak prior to recharging.
