Tammy - I just watched your video and you exprssed my feeling perfectly about Surf Fishing, the Sea, Sun, the Sound of the Waves making their noise and being on the beach. I met so many Good, Fun, Nice people it's amazing. I have so many stories and met so many people - I would not trade it for anything ... Stay Amazing ...........

Finally some video in regards to surfcasting nantucket lol. Now if there was more video like this but also more in depth on how to surfcast fishing on nantucket island in each season would be cool.

@@OnTheWaterMedia I know you guys do a awsome job any way on the in-depth stuff all the time. I as well as a lot of other people like yourselves, visit nantucket and surf fish. Just think like during the mid summer, spring and fall information would be cool on especially the lure choices to help catch stripers, blues, and allies would be cool. And as usually I know you guys are a awsome group of people that deliver on how tools all the time and helps a ton. Just picked up the doc because of you guys but will feel a little under powered with a 9ft 3/4oz-3oz lure rated penn prevail, penn battle 6000, 50lb braid/mono leader(mind you its what I can afford). Granted can it work yes is it the best outfit to do the job no. But it's all about just getting out there and enjoying the weather, wind in your face and getting salty.
Thanks for the vid and glad you're having such a blast! My family and I used to go to Nantucket every summer in the early 80's and fish out of Madaket. We used to follow the Priscilla J out of Madaket harbor to find fish. Great times and great memories. Cheers and take care.

In the Northeast we call them false albacore. Down in Florida they are known more often as Bonita. Other species that can be caught from the surf in Nantucket are striped bass, bluefish, bonito (different from false albacore), as well as a mix of species like sharks, skate, flounder, porgies, and some others.
Great video.I usually chunk for stripers but I was using a whole live mackerel this one day when I was after a 40 plus inch striper when I hooked a great white shark instead while fishing from my kayak. Part of my video was recently used on the Discovery Channel episode called The Great White North. Toss me a subscription if you like, I only need a couple more to get 1000 :) Cheers
