@PzownedProductions Are you sure? McLaren uses Honda engines in their cars? All I can recall is McLaren used a twin turbo Honda V6 engine in their F1 vehicle in '88 called the MP4/4. But that was it. And then Lotus used the Integra Type R engine in their Lotus Elise once but then they switched over to the Toyota Celica GTS engine.
if anything the k motors sounds louder.. the best way to determine the K motor by sound is if you listen to the transmission when they shift gear.. It tends to stay at the same high pitch tone whereas B trannys tone usually goes down and then it goes back up.

Damn small feet people.... The only vehicle with wide enough pedal spacing for me to heel toe shift, is a Freightliner with a 13 speed. And I consider doing that with an unsynchronized transmission, the greatest art of standard transmission driving around.
The CAR isn't what makes the car itself a ricer. It's what the Driver wants to do with the car and it's all about the driver's skill when it comes to the track.
arnak -- the S2000 lost, and it was superchargered (at about 300 maybe a little more hp)... its the Comptech S2K, and what does comptech make? The EG6 w/ K20 and a good supspension setup was far superior. It went on to race the XS Subaru which was an all around draw... that eg is hella serious
@myztichydra Um, this track is the Streets of Willow. It's in California. BMI and Hot Version videos are usually filmed in Japan, so no way that he's "always on this track"....
@TheJordanGraff Nah it's RHD, only very few, american import classics like mustangs and cameros. But there's only like 100 in the whole country. We do have some cars that have come from europe but they can only stay legally for a maximum of 1 year i think

power shifting is a drag racing term used to describe an upshift where the driver doesnt release the gas when changing gears, and stomps the clutch instead... it has not relevance here so idk where hes getting power shift from.

Tsuchiya was gimped from the start, the EG was clearly going to bleed alot less speed off then the heavier S2000, and its drive gearing was set up to maximize its line acceleration, if the S2000 had better gearing it probably would have smoked the EG
Well, this matchup kinda' proves spartanic wrong. It was the EG Civic with the better acceleration at corner exit. The S2k was able to carry more speed at corner entry and mid-corner. If that S2k was lighter and had a similar power to weight ratio as the EG, the result would have been much different.
What you've said pretty much proves my point... They had to put slicks on the WRX so it wouldn't lose to an eg6. That WRX looked like it had a laundry list of mods, too. Somebody please tell me that WRX mods are cheap.
That eg6 has one of the best sounding engine I've ever heard, reminds me of a well tuned in-line 4 Alfa Romeo engine.
Thanks to rsr exmag exhaust: baffled muffler, with only a small resonator -- keeps some rasp but not too much. :)

an eg with a k series motor is a very very fast car.

Another example of how high modification can turn almost any JAPANESE vehicle into a track monster!
Japanese cars, specially Hondas, are made for tracks with top handling.

McLaren-Honda. The McLaren cars just used Honda engines, from what I vaguely recall.
