    I thought this was just some clickbait rant but turns out it was legit. I have an Amazfit Balance and yes these concerns are true, especially if you're looking for a more serious sports tracker. Navigation battery not as good as Garmin. GPS and health not as good as Coros and Suunto. Smart watch features not as good as Apple Watch or Galaxy Ultra.
    Amazfit Balance, is just well, balanced. It does what a smart watch and sports tracker do, but ends up barely enough to make it the best replacement for either. However, where I live, Suunto, Coros, and Garmin with similar feature is just much more expensive. My usecase is also for notification, style, and some light workout like weight lifting and occassional aerobics, so Balance is the choice for me in terms of price and usecases.

      Thanks for your comment and honest feedback.
      I could not summarize it better than you did: Amazfit Balance, it's just balanced. Where I live too, watches from other brands are way overpriced but that is why I myself ended up opting for a second hand device. If you choose a similar move the options are way more compelling than the Amazfit.

      Which of the other brands have chat gpt integration? Do you use this feature on your balance?

    • @faufaufau
      @faufaufau หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@-whackd no I don't use it that much. You have to check on yourself for your daily life. Do you use your Siri/Google assistant often? If not, then you probably won't use it. But if you do, then you may use it more than I do. One place where I found myself using it was when I had to interact with my watch when I'm wearing gloves.
      As for if there are other smart watches that has voice commands, yeah tons of them. But the ones that can be used offline is limited. I think Garmin has one on their latest versions.

    Helpful and informative review thanks. The Amazfit Balance 2 hopefully will be out in the next few months and address some of the more significant issues.
    I have an older Amazfit. Sadly the older charger isn’t compatible with the Balance.

      Glad it was helpful. I'm as well looking forward the next generation. Seems like they opted for this new charger as it is the same for the T-Rex 3 and despite the incompatibility with previous model it's a nice improvement, it sticks in place effortlessly. Haven't you consider the T-Rex 3 instead? Seems like a capable device.

    For reference, you can change the HR monitoring rate in the settings. Been a while since I switch to a Galaxy Watch and off the top of my head, it was hidden a bit, but you can change it. Setting it to continuous will hit battery life, however.

    • @ChasetheRabbit
      @ChasetheRabbit  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks mate for the feedback but unfortunately you're mistaking, as the best sort of setting one can get is HR reading every minute, and as you said it's kinda hidden in the setting menu.

    • @michaeldendulk2230
      @michaeldendulk2230 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ChasetheRabbit looks like they changed it... again. From what I gather you can now only set it to go continuously when it detects a workout, otherwise it's indeed 1 minute, which seems stupidly long as the minimum interval. I remember one of my gripes being that the interval would randomly revert to the standard 10 minutes at times, meaning I'd have to go back into the settings.

    • @ChasetheRabbit
      @ChasetheRabbit  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's quite unfortunate that Amazfit opted for such a setting configuration. The battery life is, in my opinion, more than sufficient and I would have rather traded continuous HR readings for a couple of days less of battery life as a tradeoff.

    After lots of thinking should i Go for amazfit balance as a smartphone over my wrist with compromising the fitness related data or should i go for garmin as its basic and you can't do much like what a smartphone does ( picking call, texting etc. ) AI off curse..😅
    Later all it comes down to my need and what purpose should i use.
    I choose Garmin £205 on black Friday sale .

      Hi @-_whackd,
      Great question! Yes, the Amazfit Balance does support integration with ChatGPT, which is definitely a unique and interesting feature. While it may not be a game-changer in everyday use, it’s a nice addition to explore. The Balance currently stands out as one of the few wearables offering this capability.
      Competitors like Garmin offer similar functionality through voice assistants like Siri, Bixby, and Google Assistant, which also work well but sometimes face connection or response delays. I believe features like these will be streamlined and widely adopted in the future.
      If you’re interested in ChatGPT integration on a wearable, the Balance is worth checking out!

    I have a question. I want to buy Amazfit Ballance and I do cycling with Garmin Edge 530, I have cadence and power meter on my bike monitored by my Garmin Edge 530. Can I upload this data from my Garmin Edge 530 to Amazfit Ballance?. Thanks in advance.

    • @ChasetheRabbit
      @ChasetheRabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! Thanks for reaching out with your question about the Amazfit Balance and Garmin Edge 530 compatibility.
      The Amazfit Balance can indeed pair with external Bluetooth-enabled power meters, so you can collect data directly from those sensors. However, it’s important to note that while the Amazfit Balance can gather data from these sensors, it does not display or transfer this data directly to devices like the Garmin Edge.
      What you can do instead is sync all the collected data from your power meter to the Zepp app. From there, you can upload your workout stats to a platform like Strava. Unfortunately, this is as far as the data integration goes; the Amazfit Balance can’t directly interact or exchange data with the Garmin Edge or any similar devices.
      I hope this clears up the compatibility issues. If you’re looking for a device that offers seamless integration with Garmin products, you might need to consider other options that specifically support broader data sharing capabilities. Let me know if you have any more questions!

      @ferranfiguerapostils2118 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ChasetheRabbit Thanks for replying. You incredibly answered me the question. Then if I have my Garmin Edge 530 and I want to upload the data from the sensors of my bike to my smartwatch I shall consider a Garmin smartwatch such as Venu 3 or Forerunner 965? Garmin Edge 530 works with Garmin Connect app in my phone, so I guess that a Garmin smartwatch has to have this functionality as well? Thank you so much.

    • @ChasetheRabbit
      @ChasetheRabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. I hope to be helpfulf. Indeed if you’re looking to integrate seamlessly with your Garmin Edge 530, and to leverage the full capabilities of the Garmin Connect app, then opting for a Garmin smartwatch would be best, providing a streamlined experience and more integrated and comprehensive analysis of your cycling metrics. Mind that you want to choose a Garmin from the Forerunner/Fenix/Epix/Instinct 2 series as only these models will gather data from your cycling sensors but also analyze it effectively across Garmin devices and Apps. The integration will include all your activity data, from daily fitness tracking to specific cycling sessions, tracking progress and performance over time.
      In my opinion it's a no brainer, a Garmin device would definitely serve your needs better than the Amazfit Balance in this scenario.
      Let me know if you need more information or have other questions!

      @@ChasetheRabbit Thanks for your answer. Yes definetly I will go with a Garmin smarwatch device, I was thinking to a Venu 3, because I really appreciate the fitness tracker operations + the garmin data tracking that can do through my Garmin Edge 530. What do you think about it?

    • @ChasetheRabbit
      @ChasetheRabbit  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey there! It’s great to hear you’re considering the Garmin Venu 3 for its fitness tracking and seamless integration with your Garmin Edge 530. The Venu 3 does indeed have some nice features like a built-in speaker and microphone, which can be quite handy.
      However, if your primary focus is on cycling and you’re looking for more in-depth training insights, you might want to consider models like the Garmin Forerunner 265 or 955. These are specifically tailored to provide detailed metrics that can help you analyze and improve your cycling performance. They offer more specialized features for endurance sports and training analytics, which could be more beneficial for your needs.
      While the Venu 3 is a solid all-around smartwatch, the Forerunner series might serve your specific requirements better, especially with features designed to enhance your cycling experience. Let me know if you need more details on these models!

      I don't believe there will be a Balance 2 anytime soon. If you like the slick design the other only alternative on a relatively affordable budget is the Amazfit Active. It strikes a good balance of style and performance but it lacks the ability to pair an external HR sensor.

      Thanks for your feedback and opinion. I always appreciate some constructive criticism. All I'm saying is that for 30€ more (as it's often on discount) one should be better off with a watch such as the Garmin Forerunner 255 which definitely offer way more metrics, allowing even a recreational sports enthusiastic to get a deeper breakdown of training stats, level and intensity. That said the Balance still is an amazing device, wish Amazfit could have gone that extra mile and offer more insight.
