Gulliver's Kingdom in Japan was abandoned because of its location next to the Suicide Forest, and it was once the headquarters of a cult that's responsible for the Sarin Gas Attack in the Subway!
I've explored it. Don't know about some of the information reported here, first time I've heard of deaths. Still, the grounds continue to bring joy to locals and coaster nerds passing through. That said, if you've heard the (sadly fictional) legonds of Takakonuma Greenland I'd say Joyland is comparable but for real in the case of Joyland. The park's coaster was illegedly demolished in 2016, but as of February 2024 it's still there. A lot of it collapsed in a tornado (and I have preserved a piece of it) but plenty of it is still standing.
Pripyat amusement park never opened, so it couldn't close suddenly, every video out there about chernobyl states the ferris wheel or other rides weren't completerd at the time.
Delawarean here. Brandywine Springs closed because of stork damage, cancelled renovations and the advent of the Great Depression. Also there was originally an Ancient Egypt themed building you could go into but sadly it burned down and got replaced.
In school my class would have a skating party every year and several times we had it at Playland. I loved skating, but that place always gave me very dark vibes. I haven't watched past the intro yet, but I'm guessing my instincts/read of the place wasn't too far off? 😮
Joyland, thats here in Wichita. I heard about the stories, i dont think anyone has done anything with it and the rumor is the new owners are suppose to remake Joyland.
This whole time I thought they were talking about the joyland in Topeka Ks because it shut down for just about the same incidents that were stated on this video. That is crazy both parks went down for the same acts
Used to go to rockypoint all the time till it closed. A few years ago I went there to visit and there is just a grass field now. Just the arch and the grounding from the skyline ride are still there. You can go visit now since it's on the waterfront
@@jessicalinbarnett Same here, like I will tell you this, last year I visited the Hellfire Club up in Dublin and actually heard these growling noises and weird unexplained chanting, but it was cool to check that place out and I love haunted places and eerie ones too ha 😀

A family friend of mine actually owns/lives on the grounds where Brandywine Springs used to be. On of the only cool things to explore in Delaware/Southeastern Pennsylvania😊
Correction, the big thunder Mountain death and the American sings. Death happened at Disneyland, California not Disney World, please make sure you get your facts correct.
Because it costs money, most of these parks are closed due to multiple factors money, death, run-down rides, elemental , and ect ect . After they closed, they had no money to demolish. Property usually would get sold, or the government takes over and then eventually gets demo, but it can take a while.

I went to JOYLAND in Wichita Kansas when I was a kid back in the 1970's. It was a wonderful place to go. Great memories! 🤗❤

River Country at Disney World has been filled in . They were going to build a Vacation Club hotel there but it never happened
