Thanks dude, you'll need to replace linkages and bushes but the short shifter helps

Yea man a job I need to get too.. didn't wanna do a short shifter, then it puts too much pressure on the bushes.. that are slack a a bag of crisps
They're probably non existent now anyway 😂
That short shifter is probably the best modification on mk3,btw i have installed all 3 bushings in those holes so i can choose which setting is the best

They never had them which doesn't surprise me see how the car was put together but I'll sort it. Its not a daily luckily

Forgot to mention I have the CIS system
If your getting 5v at the pump check the wiring. Run 12v to the fuel pump externally and try start it
Dude please somone help me, I'm having a problem with my 81 vw caddy pickup. Its swapped with a 1.8 83 gti, everything was smooth until my fuel pump stopped getting the proper volts, its shows 5.etc not the standard 12 volts. I'm getting spark and battery is strong as ever but NO FUEL!!!! Changed fuel filter and pump, also swapped igniton cables and new spark plugs. I'm sad cause she keeps haunting my dreams litteraly!

i installed the short shifter mod and it doesn't let my first gear get in haha
You might need to realign the gearknob
the gearbox bushings + realignment was done last week 😅😅
Maybe twist the rod a bit it could be binding
get a Peugeot 205 GTI
I'm more of a vw fan, and those are expensive now
