Before 2020 I was over plucking my brows. When we were quarantined, I didn’t pluck at all. To my surprise I had full fluffy brows. I am 50 now and I only pluck the stray hairs. I get compliments on how young I look especially when someone finds out my age. I attribute that to my brows. 😊❤️💄

My two cents regarding the 90s brow trend: Brows are finicky. If you pluck them, you don’t know how, or if, they will grow back. My advice: don’t follow brow trends that require you to majorly alter your natural brow pattern. You might end up doing yourself more harm than good in the long run. (And yes, I speak from experience… 😳)
As someone who decided to give themselves an impromptu brow fix for gr 12 photos in 2002 and used a Mach 3 razor (oops!) I have been chasing symmetry and attractive brows ever since.... I am rather excited about that era of brows returning, I just couldn't get into the whole bushy/natural look

My brows are easy to figure out. All I left is a very thin arched line along the bottom edge. So I do a bit of drawing, and I use three -THREE!- different products to make them reappear. No waxes, pomades or brush-thru products for me! A pencil, a powder and a 4-pronged liquid paintbrush. So yeah, my mom warned me!
OMG. 1, I’m in Utah too and I am OVER winter! 2, I was in high school and college in the 90s, and so many people hassled me about how lazy I was about not plucking my brows super thin. (That’s how “in” it was, I was literally hassled by multiple people) but plucking that much really hurts. 😅 And now who’s got great brows in her 40s and who has problem brows. I just wanna say I’m grateful for Brooke Shields back in the 90s who made it okay to have brows fuller than a single thread. Love you. Hang in there, this spring fever will break soon! 🙏🏻

Oh I am so excited for the thinner brows to be coming back!! I hope you are right! Some of us have been tweezing for years and there is just no way short of drawing on fake brows that we will ever ever be able to have a full thick brow. Plus I am just not a fan of the thick brow look, I never have been since I first saw the trend. I would say just don't take the brow too thin, and yes everyone should take into account their natural brow and let that dictate their brow look. Trust me Allie your brows will be fine and you will still look awesome even if that 90's trend comes back. In the meantime I am just jumping up and down for joy if slimmer brows slide right back in!

Normally I never impulsively put in an online order after an influencer recommends products I've never heard of before but I'm feeling rather adventurous today and have been really into finding new makeup tools from brands that aren't sold at Sephora. Im 57, never had to pluck having naturally thin brows. And now they are virtually gone and require pencil everyday. Do not pluck to thin normal brows! Your brows are here for your eyes' protection.

A huge NO to thin brows. I did not participate then and I will not again. I have SO many friends and family members that regret over plucking; many either have sparse and uneven regrowth or they didn’t grow back at all. Such a terrible idea. I do have to say that over plucking didn’t start until the very late 90s and think of it more as an early 2000s trend. I graduated in the mid 90s and remember it being my younger sibling’s friends who were over plucking.
I made the mistake of over-plucking my eyebrows ONCE. My mom got rather mad and I never did it again lol. I have very thick, naturally bold brows, and I love it now. Will never go back to those horrid 90's brows.
Omg no!! Not the 90's thin brows!! Oh, I hated that look even back then! I think I started wearing makeup around 98-99... Around 11, 12 years old. Very minimal at the time of course. Mom wouldn't let me wear anything black. Only brown liners lol!!

If my eyebrows could speak, they would actually be screaming noooooooo to the thought of 90’s eyebrows. I abused them in the 60’s thanks to Twiggy and Biba which then kind of continued into the 70’s. They were in rehab in the 80’s.....kind of.....and then along came the 90’s which basically regressed them back to the 60’s 🙄. They are now in rehab (again) with their new best friend.....Grande Brow. Teeny tiny hairs are appearing (still not as virulent as my moustache but hey ho, I live in hope). Don’t do the 90’s brow ladies, I can guarantee you’ll regret it 👍😬

I DON’T care what the eyebrow trend of the day is….My brows are staying like they are. I used to pluck mine because I didn’t like the way they fanned out and stood up in the inner part, and then that became the trend. After over plucking my brows have never been the same. DON’T DO IT! Trends change and one day you will want your brows back.

Allie, you always say how you don't really like eyeliner and how you're not very good at it but I must disagree with both statements!! First of all, you look gorgeous whenever you have eyeliner on, to me it's always my favorite looks on you, I really think it fits your eye shape perfectly!! Second, you're so good at it, you just made those perfect and symmetrical lines in 2 seconds!! Looooved today's look, and I hope you continue to do similar ones because they definitely fit you!!

Frick. I knew it. I've always had thick, dark eyebrows and when I was a kid and skinny brows were a thing, I was very self conscious. Then thick eyebrows became trendy and my previously "bushy" eyebrows weren't even dark and full enough. Now skinny is back? Nah. I'm good. I'll pluck the strays and tame with clear gel. That's all.
I just can’t stand the overly fluffy soap wax look that’s been “in” (looks awful on me) so if we can simply rewind about 5-ish years that’d be greeeeeaaat LOL👌🏼😆🙆🏻♀️
My Aunt over plucked her brows BIG TIME in the 90's and she absolutely regrets it now. They're like weird "u" shaped brows with no definition. She has even contemplated going in for microblading! Don't do it people. You'll regret it later.

I'm so glad that even though I lived through the 90s brow trend I somehow managed to contain myself and not over pluck them. I dislike thin brows just as much as overly bushy ones. What is it with people combing their brows upwards like a hedgehog or like they've been electrocuted, I'll just never understand. As one of your older viewers (I think!) I went through the 90s brow trend and it is so hard to deal with my brows now. Brown serums have helped but they never quite recovered 😂. Will definitely NEVER over pluck again but wouldn’t mind if sparse, scraggly brows became popular 😂😂😂. Maybe you could do a step by step tutorial on filling in the brows to maximize what you have? I would find that helpful!

Everyone leave their brows alone! I remember getting my brows waxed in the '90s-'00s and girls were coming out before my appointment with these tiny "perpetual surprise" brows, and I was horrified. I was genetically blessed with a bushy unibrow, and even I have lighter, thinner brows than I used to (perimenopause is real, folks). If it can happen to me, there is NO HOPE for people who overpluck.

I have naturally full, archy brows. I never follow the trends that go thinner. It's really not flattering. Brows frame the face. They don't have to be super thick, but pencil thin is not a good look, my two cents.
I'm not afraid of any trend...because I'm not totally stupid. There's no power in the world that would make me overplug my brows into tiny worms 😅 and if someone else wants to...feel free to ruin your looks 😂

The new NYX line loud vegan long wear lip liner is so so good!! I got one and tried it recently and after my lipstick or gloss had worn off, my lip liner remained. I ate and drank and it was still on at the end of the night. Super impressed!

NEVER got into skinny brows!! Such a bad trend. Tbh, I never touched my brows until I got older and the tail ends got thin. That being said, I'm not a fan of the new "bushy" brows either. Lol. While I do now need to draw them in (or other methods) I'll happily stick to medium, basic brows. Don't feel like ones attention should be immediately drawn to the brows.

I agree with the comments! DO NOT THIN OUT YOUR BROWS! Thankfully, I was lucky enough and mine grew back, but usually they don't! Now I never pluck my brows I just use a derma blade to get rid of my unibrow, and anything else that needs to be cleaned up. Embrace the brows you already have!
Lol, storytime...I started plucking my eyebrows pencil thin in the 8th grade because Drew Barrymore, hello, lol. That's was '94. Cut to 2001, I'm 20 yrs old, my friend took a picture of me outside one night. We get the film developed, she shows me the picture. My brows were so freakin thin, the flash from the camera made them disappear. I yelled at her 'oh my god, why didn't you tell me I look like Whoopy Goldberg??!! Why have you been letting me walk around looking like a freakin alien?!' She laughs and say 'I thought you liked it, like it was your jam.' I stopped plucking immediately. They never grew back right. These days, I look at my son's beautiful brows, identical to my own once beautiful brows with the perfect slightly straight arch, and I pout on the inside with regret. 😭🤣 It will only ever be brow pencils and gel from here on out for me, Ladies! Trust your elder millennials, lol, don't do it!

I grew out my eyebrows- I had plucked them but they were more pointy than skinny - For the time, they looked great. Eventually, 20 years later - I decided to grow them out. I stopped plucking and religiously applied castor oil on them- warming it slightly with my fingers. after 2 years, my brows were back to normal and even slightly thicker. I am 70 and my brows did not thin out or fall out at all. again, consistently caring for your body / hair/skin - brows etc. We will all age- that’s inevitable but we can still look good 😊 ps: skinny brows were fashionable since the mid sixties thru the 90s.

I've dark brown eyebrows and for that reason I like to have thinner brows, suits me better than having two hairy thick bushes above my eyes 👀 😍.

I DON’T care what the eyebrow trend of the day is….My brows are staying like they are. I used to pluck mine because I didn’t like the way they fanned out and stood up in the inner part, and then that became the trend. After over plucking my brows have never been the same. DON’T DO IT! Trends change and one day you will want your brows back.
Oh no!! No thin brows!!! I have friends that are suffering the consequences of that trend! I never went on it.
I am a victim of the Great Eyebrow Overpluckery circa 2000-2005...if you're reading this, DON'T DO IT. Leave them thick. They don't grow back 😂 Trends come and go but great, full eyebrows CAN be forever. Put the tweezers down.

Allie, you always say how you don't really like eyeliner and how you're not very good at it but I must disagree with both statements!! First of all, you look gorgeous whenever you have eyeliner on, to me it's always my favorite looks on you, I really think it fits your eye shape perfectly!! Second, you're so good at it, you just made those perfect and symmetrical lines in 2 seconds!! Looooved today's look, and I hope you continue to do similar ones because they definitely fit you!!

Frick. I knew it. I've always had thick, dark eyebrows and when I was a kid and skinny brows were a thing, I was very self conscious. Then thick eyebrows became trendy and my previously "bushy" eyebrows weren't even dark and full enough. Now skinny is back? Nah. I'm good. I'll pluck the strays and tame with clear gel. That's all.

My Aunt over plucked her brows BIG TIME in the 90's and she absolutely regrets it now. They're like weird "u" shaped brows with no definition. She has even contemplated going in for microblading! Don't do it people. You'll regret it later.

I'm so glad that even though I lived through the 90s brow trend I somehow managed to contain myself and not over pluck them. I dislike thin brows just as much as overly bushy ones. What is it with people combing their brows upwards like a hedgehog or like they've been electrocuted, I'll just never understand. Our natural brows cleaned and groomed is the best fit for our face, we shouldn't mess with that for the sake of some trend. Love you Allie, thanks for another amazing video 💜

As one of your older viewers (I think!) I went through the 90s brow trend and it is so hard to deal with my brows now. Brown serums have helped but they never quite recovered 😂. Will definitely NEVER over pluck again but wouldn’t mind if sparse, scraggly brows became popular 😂😂😂. Maybe you could do a step by step tutorial on filling in the brows to maximize what you have? I would find that helpful!

Everyone leave their brows alone! I remember getting my brows waxed in the '90s-'00s and girls were coming out before my appointment with these tiny "perpetual surprise" brows, and I was horrified. I was genetically blessed with a bushy unibrow, and even I have lighter, thinner brows than I used to (perimenopause is real, folks). If it can happen to me, there is NO HOPE for people who overpluck.

I have naturally full, archy brows. I never follow the trends that go thinner. It's really not flattering. Brows frame the face. They don't have to be super thick, but pencil thin is not a good look, my two cents.

The new NYX line loud vegan long wear lip liner is so so good!! I got one and tried it recently and after my lipstick or gloss had worn off, my lip liner remained. I ate and drank and it was still on at the end of the night. Super impressed!

NEVER got into skinny brows!! Such a bad trend. Tbh, I never touched my brows until I got older and the tail ends got thin. That being said, I'm not a fan of the new "bushy" brows either. Lol. While I do now need to draw them in (or other methods) I'll happily stick to medium, basic brows. Don't feel like ones attention should be immediately drawn to the brows.

Hallo, I always feel better watching your posts. My brows have never recovered from the over waxing at salons! to the point I refuse to have them plucked at all. BTW I really enjoy the Flower Beauty Charles Angel Palette. I was at CVS inline and saw it. It made me laugh thinking of the movies, so I had to buy it :)

I agree with the comments! DO NOT THIN OUT YOUR BROWS! Thankfully, I was lucky enough and mine grew back, but usually they don't! Now I never pluck my brows I just use a derma blade to get rid of my unibrow, and anything else that needs to be cleaned up. Embrace the brows you already have!
Lol, storytime...I started plucking my eyebrows pencil thin in the 8th grade because Drew Barrymore, hello, lol. That's was '94. Cut to 2001, I'm 20 yrs old, my friend took a picture of me outside one night. We get the film developed, she shows me the picture. My brows were so freakin thin, the flash from the camera made them disappear. I yelled at her 'oh my god, why didn't you tell me I look like Whoopy Goldberg??!! Why have you been letting me walk around looking like a freakin alien?!' She laughs and say 'I thought you liked it, like it was your jam.' I stopped plucking immediately. They never grew back right. These days, I look at my son's beautiful brows, identical to my own once beautiful brows with the perfect slightly straight arch, and I pout on the inside with regret. 😭🤣 It will only ever be brow pencils and gel from here on out for me, Ladies! Trust your elder millennials, lol, don't do it!

You gave good advice about the brows, each one of us should have a structured brow that fits our face not the trends, because trends fade. Im not touching my eyebrows to another fad. I think you should enhance them, but not change them completely. This fad shall pass too and then what?. If anything id go to an expert to teach me how to do my eyebrows properly. DO WHATEVER FITS YOU. That is the best look 💕
I grew out my eyebrows- I had plucked them but they were more pointy than skinny - For the time, they looked great. Eventually, 20 years later - I decided to grow them out. I stopped plucking and religiously applied castor oil on them- warming it slightly with my fingers. after 2 years, my brows were back to normal and even slightly thicker. I am 70 and my brows did not thin out or fall out at all. again, consistently caring for your body / hair/skin - brows etc. We will all age- that’s inevitable but we can still look good 😊
ps: skinny brows were fashionable since the mid sixties thru the 90s.
