🙏 Sir Mubarak Begum ka ek song aur hai, main bhool gaya hoon lekin badi shiddat se chahta hoon k yaad aa jaye. Itna yaad hai k kalaam Allama Iqbal ka hai film ka naam Benazeer hai shayad .. please agar aap pata kar sakein pichhale kai dinon se bechain hoon 🙏🙏

Sir, is the Sadat Khan, M.D of Arab ka Sitara same as the Sadat Khan who is credited along with Rafi saab and Manna da for Phir tumhari yaad aayi ae sanam (Rustom Sohrab)? Also, I found this information somewhere when I was researching the film More man mitwa - the lyricist is named Priyadarshi - don't know how accurate this is but it seems to be sourced from the film's credits.
thanks for you lovely comments, I truly enjoyed doing Mubarak Begum program. Yes, Sadat is the same person. And many poets used a pseudonym when writing for film, Priyadarshi is one such, a poet who wrote for films with a different name

So much character in her singing and voice! Chamakti awaaz.

To me, Mubarak Begum’s voice was very suitable for thumri, kajree and ghazals
ok. to each his own choice
Mubarak Begum also sang 1-2 songs for Pakistani film, like ''Raaz" 1959........

An excellent reminiscing my favorite singer Mobarak Begum, who was a great singer but underutilized and probably a victim of Bombay film industry.

I can even imagine ‘jaaiye aap kahan jaayenge’ in Mubarak Begum’s voice. Would have been fantastic. So sad she was so under used.
very true, she was really good

The opening of Gunguna Rahi Hai Bhamar is taken from the Tagore song Sankocher Bihoblata. Here's the link th-cam.com/video/KqG3O1bIUOE/w-d-xo.html
