Thanks Sonny! Please help us spread Riki sensei's teachings so they reach more people. We're never going to make any money off these videos, we just want to spread good judo.

What I always love about Sensei Riki's teaching sessions is he emphasizes those minute details that are so easy to overlook, yet which spell the difference between success or failure with a technique. The importance played by the thumb and of keeping the elbow of the strangling arm down are just two examples. Interestingly enough, I have a huge callous on the inside of my left thumb from constantly practicing the entry for Okuri-eri-jime, just like Sensei described. Oh, and kindly tell him for me that I have a P-38 can opener---a gift from my father that I use to this day. Just saying.
I also took huge notice of Sensei concluding comments regarding Kosen Judo and about how modern Judo has become so corrupted to pander to a viewing public much of which probably doesn't understand Judo at all.
Another sensational video, thank you! Looking forward to the next one already. 🥋🙏🙂

Thank you SevaSentinel! Riki sensei showed us quite a few shime-waza during that class, more are coming next month once the editing is finished! Probably hadaka-jime next :)
