[4K] The Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta: A Staple of Indonesian Hospitality

Hi all!
In this video, I give you a full tour of my Monument View Club Corner Room at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta. The MO Jakarta is a hotel which has been around for decades- since my parents were in their teens and still living in Jakarta. It's truly a staple of Indonesian hospitality in Jakarta.
As far as I can tell, unfortunately, it's also been awhile since their last renovation. With that being said, for its age the hotel is impressively well maintained. I still can't get over the fact that they have no coffee machine in the room, though.
I have nothing but great things to say about the staff at the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta. They provided exemplary service that improved throughout my stay. If you're not in a Club room, I would say the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is excellent value for your money if you're looking for a luxury stay in Jakarta. It's also walking distance to the Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia shopping malls- two of the best in Indonesia.

Thanks for your comment! Yes I would say so, the Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta is a good hotel too but not even in the same league as the St. Regis Jakarta.

Glenn I change my mind, instead Raffles hotel, will stay at Hyatt Park hotel for my next visit, thks anyway

Oh okay! I loved the Raffles as well. Make sure you have time in the morning for the awesome breakfast and save some time to relax at the nice pool & gardens. The rooms at the Raffles are huge too! Enjoy your trip!!!

I’ve got to agree with you. That being said, the service standards are consistent with the prestige of the MO brand. And the rooms are still clean, considering how old the hotel is 😃
