1832 exceptional French Antique inlaid Daybed (Publication Quality Period Furniture).

A benchmark example of Charles X period art furniture, one of the rarer and more refined styles of the early 19th century French decorative arts. As usual I hope this video will serve to preserve this artifact online and help others with their own collecting while enhancing the collective appreciation for furniture from the past.
Beds or daybeds like these played large decorative roles in the early 19th century, elaborate canopies mounted above them, rooms designed around them and the platforms which sometimes presented them. Some people endeavor to forego the unparalleled artistry of these beds in favor of practicality. These individuals fixate on irrelevant details like how short and uncomfortable these beds are...such people are constitutionally incapable of understanding the decorative arts and they are not true supporters of this channel.
