As a long time viewer, you are a man after my own heart. I managed a French Antique shop for 5 years in LA, and years before a Brocante in Holland. Your pieces are exceptional, and you breath them. Thank You!
Thank you - all pieces on the channel are from the original timeline when furniture was most artistically made (1500-1840 very roughly)… I try to pick pieces which achieve a type of timelessness or universal beauty within their style.
Needless to say, these videos are amazing to watch. I thought I was buying antique furniture until I watched these videos and I am afraid I don't have the pocketbook for furniture of this quality and age. So if I understand you correctly, I am probably buying vintage pieces, but not antiques. I hope I understand that correctly. I truly love the videos.
Thanks for watching ! And all sorts of pieces from the more recent past are attractive and interesting. My main point for let’s say new collectors or even just shoppers is that early pre industrial art pieces are objectively high value - many pieces that sort of imitate these beautiful originals are presented to unsuspecting buyers as venerable works of art - so I don’t mean to denigrate anything, just point out the need for discernement when buying! Flattered you enjoy the videos.
Great Video as always! Im a Joiner and would like to go deeper in to the History of Art Furniture. What Literature would you recommend for that matter? Greetings from Switzerland
Very unique in design and quality. It would be interesting to know for whom it was commission and if there were additional pieces order as well. By the way my Jacob chairs are being sold by Christies N.Y. online Oct. 7. The Collector sale. Always look forward to your vlog.

This is so neat! Found your videos after getting curious about what furniture styles truly are “timeless”
