Kurt would've been 50 years old today. Really wish he was still here to make music and even to just hear his thoughts on the world today. I love nirvana man but I think I like hearing Kurt speak in interviews more. As his opinions often differed from those of other stars at the time. Say what you will about him being a hack, but to me he will always be an inspiration to me. Not only as a musician, but as a human being. R.I.P Kurt Cobain
I don't get the "hack" criticism. Great bands are always better whole than the sum of their parts. Kurt had a vision for his music and, unlike most musicians, he executed his vision like a boss. To me, the "hack" criticism is jealousy.
'Been a Son' doesn't get enough love. Great, perfectably danceable little pop song. I feel like Kurt was pretty fond of it also as it was a staple of their setlist for a long time.
Alex K. Antony Hodgkinson (or Antronhy) was the drummer for the indie rock band Bivouac. Hodgkinson is best known for dancing on stage for Nirvana's 1992 Reading Festival show. (wikipedia)

I was class of '92 and Nevermind came out my SR year in late '91. Couldn't hit my angst any closer with a bullseye. This song followed in late '92. These guys were spot on along with AIC and am so glad to be a part of that, right time and right place - RIP Kurt and Layne.
This is such a freaking good and energetic powerfull song. Nirvana is amazing. They are like the Beatles in terms of structure, melodies etc, albeit with hammer and nails obviously but still beautifull and you can hear the resemblence. They still stand today. Together with screaming trees and alice in chains my favorite grunge rock bands.
That guy on the stage has one hell of story to tell his kids he actually was on stage with nirvana if I was on stage with nirvana I would literally pass out LMAO
This song is about how his father wanted another son, but his sister Kim was born a girl. It's about how his father was disappointed in both of his kids. It's perfect
Despite the rumours, he was actually a nice guy. Even after the drugs and the fame, he still never really let things get to his head. Sad that he's not around anymore but man he was a good musician. RIP Kurdt.
@@is444b3lWhen I hit ninth grade, I totally went off the rails! LOL!!I didn’t dress like anyone else, and my thoughts pretty much dark. I started cutting my hands. This was before everyone identified it as “Self Harming.” My hands would heal, and I’d start all over again. After High School I suddenly stopped. Today, my hands have big spots on them discolored etc. Here’s the kicker, my parent NEVER noticed. They never questioned me. My Sister saw it, and she is an Angel, because she NEVER ratted me out on nothing. Parents have such power to harm physically, as well as psychologically. @ScarlettStar92 I am sure that all ages listen to good music from the 60's-2000. After 2000 music started going down hill. I have a positive outlook on the music scene. Maybe just maybe one day things will change for the better.
Tony the interpretive dancer (Antony Hodgkinson) is probably my favourite dancer in the world...you gotta love the way how he dances in this video (and for the entire gig). In my opinion, the songs by Nirvana are better than any other song by any other artists.
Dear Nirvana's fans, on April 5th, re-run the project, we must keep our passion for Kurt Cobain. We must thumbs-up all the Nirvana's videos and put comments on it again. We're gonna call radio stations and suggest them to make listen to every man, woman, child or elderly of the Earth a Nirvana's song. Please make it follow on every TH-cam Rock Page !!!
The How Nirvana Changed Britain documentary which just aired on the BBC had a whole bit on Tony The Interpretive Dancer. He said he gave himself whiplash and had to wear a neck brace for 3 days afterwards because he headbanged so hard. Also said this was the last time he ever saw Kurt.
I was born in the right generation cuz I can watch this whenever and wherever I want

Me too. Kurt was an interesting person to listen to speak about things
No offence mate but Kurt probably wouldn't have had a voice left. He was losing it before he died because of the way he sang.
leowoco He would’ve had to take it easy

Incredible performance
My personal favorite nirvana song
soramon101 oh you do? me too. the solos of Krist Novoselic is awesome. I mean 2002 Nirvana album.
One of my favorite songs.
That reading gig was awesome.
a reading gig must be boring, i wouldnt want to watch people read on stage cmon now
Some folks are easily amused it seems.
Rob Fraser
Kurt wishes he could have been like them.
It is a festival tho
Who wouldn't like this song!!!!
Frances?
WELL DAMN XD
Axel Rose
@1ranjeeves21 he didnt mean Frances. This song is written from another perspective. Nirvana is a feminist band

One of those Nirvana songs that sound awesome live
This has always been one of my most favorite live Nirvana concert.
Especially because of that guy dancing.

The reason that I love this song is because my parents really wanted a boy. This song understands. Thank you, Kurt! :)
I love Kurt and the fact that he was empathetic and cared about women is another reason why. ✨🎶💙

Kurt was for female empowerment and I love that. I think he was one of the manliest guys in rock even when he wore dresses.
