Imho, a Mimecraft movie would only work one of 3 ways. 1. If the characters are from a village or something, and they get attacked or something, and they have to adventure. 2. They some how come from a separate place, and have to explore thw Minecraft world. 3. They're some kind of eldritch god who has traveled coutnless worlds (seeds), and the excitement comes from how the world will react to THEIR presence, not how THEY react to the world.
The possibilities are endless, if the directors have imagination and creativity 4. villagers vs pillagers and the characters help the villagers (like a traditional 7 samurai story) 5. player kingdom/faction wars over land or rare resources like diamonds or netherite (political/war) 6. herobrine as the villain who can bend reality (horror/mystery) 7. players surviving against hordes of mobs (action/survival) 8. going to the nether, then the end, beating the ender dragon (action/adventure) 9. hardcore mode, living in a beautiful yet dangerous world where death is permanent (drama/thriller)
other ideas :D ! - mc is steve who is learning how to survive, goes from noob to pro - group of friends initially band together in minecraft to survive, then split into factions, but eventually reconcile - players only know the overworld but discover the nether - person from the nether discovers the overworld - player society vs villager society - real people get put in minecraft, meet players and have to adapt to player culture (like the player crouch and stuff) - journey to the farlands - adapt the story of a popular adventure map - homage to the evolution of minecraft culture (survival, multiplayer, complex servers/mods) through the characters - one player is gathering materials to summon a wither and everyone else tries to stop them - players discover a new mob and have to transport and protect it all the way back home
It's a pipedream to ever get something like what I wanted, but I REALLY wanted something reminiscent of "Minecraftian" by Joshua Mutter. Just quiet, atmospheric. A lonely and vacant world with loads of mystery beneath. However, my vision of Minecraft is quite outdated tbf, since I grew up on Beta. Because of this, Minecraft always felt like a really mysterious, atmospheric, almost horror-like experience. Anyways; What was, to me, at the core of the original game has been lost in the game itself over the past decade, so I never expected the movie to be what I specifically wanted anyways. Billion dollar"
In 2 days no less.
this isn't better, it looks kinda ass imo
Billion*
@@zencraft69 I'll correct that, thank you.
bro cooked a little too hard 🙏
as the 99th like, i agree
As the 145 like I agree
It's hard to express how much better this fan animation looks than the trailer
I love how you made this actually seem like something i wanna see
This Minecraft movie trailer version IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ACTUAL MOVIE
Agreed
Agreed
Far off
Idk what they were thinking about live action, Minecraft animation would of done better
Hmm but i mean the visual looks okay to me, but the problem for me is that... It's lifeless, like the emotion, etc.
this is unreal
Who are you
True
This movie has been in production for over 10 years, this guy made it in less than 5 days... and made it better
It’s worse, like yes, the Minecraft movie looks bad, but with a few tweaks, I don’t think it would be horrible. Just adjust how the people look to make it look less obvious that it’s on a green screen, or whatever they used.
To be fair, TH-cam had its hay day because of Minecraft. They sorta would need to do something animated to maximize the experience. Maybe they can't figure out how to fit it well, but they tried. Otherwise they would be just a higher quality form of a thousand TH-camrs.
Not better
You literally fixed it. Not only that, but you fixed *everything* that was wrong with it.
This just proves that if anyone should be hired to make a Minecraft movie, it should be people like you.
They could literally ask people to make it voluntarily and there would be thousands professional animators all over world who would do it for free just to take part in making first mainstream Minecraft movie
As an apprentice Blender animator, I would. I kinda suck at animation but I would learn it 3x faster for the sole purpose of making a Minecraft movie that we actually want to see and love
Squared Media (former black plasma studios) could work on that, it would be awesome
This is already 100 times better the reveal for Steve actually works now
Why does this actually look better than the real movie lol
Ikr...
Porque es lo que la mayoría de los fana queremos ver
@@JACKSONxt8unexactly i would rather have the movie to be animated than live action
Because the movie is right in the uncanny valley. And because the humans are not cubified in any kind or form, making the cubified fluffy critters look even worse in comparison
NO.
0:36 Creeper? Aww, man.
That would have been a cool reference In the trailer

This is exactly how I wished this movie looked like, still resembles Minecraft a ton but is still its own unique thing, it just feels right. I would kill for the actual movie to resemble this. Also I AM SO IMPRESSED AT HOW FAST YOU MADE THIS!!! Steve doing the universal peace sign is amazing, definition of “Everyone liked that”. Great job dude
Same here honestly, this is exactly what a Minecraft movie is supposed to look like 100%
This guy made better trailer after only 2 DAYS than big company after 10 years
How did the OG fail so bad???
this is a bad animated trailer
still better than the original one lol
Besides Steve legit having no expression(funny) this is literally what I originally expected.
That's the Minecraft movie we have been hoping for!!
It is??
@altalune-mcyt, of course it is!
No.
@thesikant how old are you? The live action one was cringe as hell! Do you watch to much live action Disney movies or something?
@@JosiahMassie still going to it because its minecraft
When animator does a better job than an ENTIRE STUDIO.
Idk what's better, animated or live action. Its just the plot we know of so far is literally Jumanji
Trash.
Animated, duh
A game like Minecraft will never look good in live action
Maybe it won’t be completely unwatchable if you do it right, but it still wouldn’t be good
@@blddemn6645 True, but it's either animated faces or frozen faces (like Steve's)
@@OffbrandDTraveler as much as I love the idea of an animated Minecraft movie, everyone having a frozen/animated face would be horrible.
This looks so much better than the actual movie! I would watch this!
It’s honestly insane how just one guy managed to pull off a better looking minecraft movie than a massive studio with a $300M budget!
IN LESS THAN A DAY
You guys don't understand how budget works tbh
@@thesikant And Hollywood still doesn't understand somehow that LIVE ACTION movies suck
@@thesikant More money = Better quality
Yeah sure buddy go make your own movie
This is what the official teaser should’ve looked like honestly!
Also Steve not having a face rig not only looks perfect, but it helps differentiate him from the other cast! Super creative choice and the whole thing was spectacular!
THIS. THIS IS WHAT THE MOVIE IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE
Thank You For Animating This Finally I Don't See Disturbing Mobs And Real People (no offense to then)
0:15 If only these did this in the actual movie. Cause this is the minecraft that people remember
Mindcraft
Mind games
@angelomihalachi Ah, I can't spell 😅
No way
This is what a minecraft movie should always be like
It is literally inexpressible how much more the minecraft movie trailer would've been successful if it was done like that. This style fits the narrative perfectly
Bro imagine a fan making a better trailer in one day than a whole studio could in 10 years could totally never happen
It may not be as polished as I would expect for a feature film, but you managed to whip together something that is far more charming than the $150 million dollar minecraft movie trailer in such a short span of time.
Charming? How?
I still think it’s very impressive that it was done so fast, but this animation style many people use for Minecraft just doesn’t work
@@tippedjoshua6802 Doesn't literally every Minecraft animation use this style tho? The fallen kingdom quadrilogy, Slamacow, every Minecraft parody; they all use this style (the only difference i can think of being the mouths). What exactly is it about this style that "doesn't work"?
@@charlz1636I wouldn’t be surprised if bro is a newer fan and hasn’t experienced the golden age of Minecraft like us older fans
I fucking love the minecraft community, this is exactly what I wanted to see in response to the official trailer lmao
Its only been a day and you already made something 10x better than the what the studio dropped🗣️‼️
Edit: Wouldn't it be funny if you remade the entire movie in this style and it got more views and better audience rating than the actual film? ;)
You are on to something
This is how the Minecraft movie should look, and you only had under a month to do it. Imagine if you had multiple years and a huge budget
The possibilities are endless, if the directors have imagination and creativity
4. villagers vs pillagers and the characters help the villagers (like a traditional 7 samurai story)
5. player kingdom/faction wars over land or rare resources like diamonds or netherite (political/war)
6. herobrine as the villain who can bend reality (horror/mystery)
7. players surviving against hordes of mobs (action/survival)
8. going to the nether, then the end, beating the ender dragon (action/adventure)
9. hardcore mode, living in a beautiful yet dangerous world where death is permanent (drama/thriller)
from just the trialer it seems to be no. 2
other ideas :D !
- mc is steve who is learning how to survive, goes from noob to pro
- group of friends initially band together in minecraft to survive, then split into factions, but eventually reconcile
- players only know the overworld but discover the nether
- person from the nether discovers the overworld
- player society vs villager society
- real people get put in minecraft, meet players and have to adapt to player culture (like the player crouch and stuff)
- journey to the farlands
- adapt the story of a popular adventure map
- homage to the evolution of minecraft culture (survival, multiplayer, complex servers/mods) through the characters
- one player is gathering materials to summon a wither and everyone else tries to stop them
- players discover a new mob and have to transport and protect it all the way back home
But I think we can all agree we didn't want Jumanji; Welcome to the BlockGame xD
Official trailer: ❌
Fanmade animated trailer: ✅
As a single animator yourself, this is amazing. The Minecraft movie should’ve been this, but on a higher budget.
The og trailer made me angry at how bad it looked, this recreation made me feel nostalgic and gave me chills. This is the minceraft movie we need.😭
0:31 He kept the weird crafting recipe LMAO
Now this is the real trailer we were waiting for.
I still feel that Steve should have been the main character. But this is infinitely better than what we already have.
Besides the trailer the music hits hard
Somebody get this man hired to make the actual Minecraft movie
The eyes for the real world people and Steves being different is such a cool way to differentiate them.
THIS IS BETTER THAN THE ORIGONAL!

This already looks so much better then that cursed CGI trailer. Why does the movie industry seem to be shifting to the stereotypical unreal engine 5 look, it just looks so cursed sometimes...
Never thought blocks could be so pleasing to the eyes. Thank you.
Actually seeing this i prefer the weird human shit the trailer has. Its charming in an odd way
do you have brain damage? serious question go get that checked out i am worried for your health
This guy did something better than a million-dollar company!!!!!
This movie has already failed when they announced it to be Life action a few years ago.
And the trailer was exactly what I was expected.
Having it animated like this, is exactly what I want to expect from a Minecraft movie
how did one guy make a better trailer in less than 2 days then an entire studio did with a budget of $150 million
A studio with time of *10 years* and budget of $150 million.
i really like how Steve doesn't have a animated face, like he is truly part of the minecraft world the movie is trying to show lol.
If this was the minecraft movie, tbh it wouldn’t be original, they could change some things to make it better, if its animated then it would be just like a fan-minecraft animation movie that lasts for an hour and a hard story to understand
I cannot express how much more enjoyable this was to watch than the real trailer. Warner Bros should have just animated it.
Yes. But I bet you they will hate this type of trailer, unfortunately. 😞😞😞
can you please just single handedly take over the whole movie and spare the entire community from this living nightmare?
way better then what they did, also nostalgia from the universal sneak peace sign😀
It’s incredible how more epic it becomes in these aminations.
The Minecraft movie we deserved.
