I have about 20 Browning cams. Dark ops are my favorite. Have tried many other brands, and most are garbage, Stealth cam in particular is pure Sh*t! I just added 4 Browning cell cams, will see how those go this season.
Love to hear it. We’re very happy with ours!
Guardepro and Alpha cam are great brands. I got a bunch of Guardepro E5 cams on sale for $34 and they do almost as good of a job as a browning
Do you have any recommendations for a camera to catch human intruders on an outdoor property? Hard to find good info so far it seems browning or reconyx are best options but hoping to get info from someone who actually uses one
Hi from the UK. Bought a couple of browning edge. Night time was clear and good, was very pleased with it. Daytime the colour was washed out, never liked it. With only eight batteries, to me it was underpowered, should have had at least 12.. One bit the dust after water got in. The other i still have but no longer use. Would not buy them again.
Thank you for this. Very informative & I loved the clips of nature!
I just got a browning dark ops full HD 1080
It’s mostly going to be used for security as we have transients wondering around an alley way behind our home as we are on the outskirts of a major (toxic) city & they’ve slowly started to encroached to our area... We also don’t want anything connected to alexa type stuff (we’re a bit old school) 😂
But, I hope we just see our local wildlife, mostly possums and such (love’m)
I’ll be setting up tomorrow, any advice? 😅
If security if your goal don’t face it towards the sun at all as it will get false triggers. Make sure to use proper memory cards and good batteries!
@@SimanBrothersOutdoors Thank you!
Battery trays are junk and the contacts that the battery tray yo camera use tend to not make contact. Really disappointed in yhe cameras had 6 down to one after a year and a half. They were taken in and not put up till before season so as to prolong their life. Not happy .😢
That’s weird, out of all the years we’ve had ours we’ve never had a battery tray connection problem. Not 1.
I have three and on one of them the battery tray no longer power up the camera. I contacted Browning and they don't have any in stock. Bummer. I like the cameras, Mine are BTC-5HDE.
"Nerds"? Really? How about there are so many Browning cameras with similar names that model numbers are important to distinguish one from another? Haven't thought of that?
BTW - Your audio is too treble - because your voice is bouncing off hard surfaces. Your "stage" needs some sound cushioning so that your voice comes across better for your listeners.
Obviously you didnt catch the sarcasm as we are extreme camera nerds, but i appreciate the feedback. We actually invested in LAV mics as well as podcast headsets for future reviews so the sound quality will be alot better. All part of the learning curve, i hope you get an opportunity to check out some of our other content!
Whoops! Missed the sarcasm.
I've two Dark Ops Extreme and one Advantage Spec Ops full HD. I was using them as security cams in my small townhouse patio, until I got tired of replacing and buying new batteries. They served me well. Now I've a non-subscription doorbell cam with a rechargeable battery, and a solar powered camera.
I very much enjoy watching the vids (esp. Tim Harrell) of animals as caught by trail cams in their intended use.
Too many of the Browning cameras have similar names- gets confusing, agreed?
Take care.@@SimanBrothersOutdoors
