It’s always Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool at the top”. He died of cancer July 2015. The following season in 2015/2016, Leicester City won the Premier League. I wish my grandad could have been around for just one more year to see how special that season was.
All the top teams were so inconsistent the entire season. My Goodness. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity for any other team to win the title, and Leicester took full advantage of the opportunity. To be honest, I enjoyed to watch that season so much. The scorelines were insane every week.
That's because there's no good defenders in the league. Not one. That season had been coming for years; since the insistence of "playing out from the back". It's the only reason Liverpool and Man City have gotten 90+ points the last two years. Why else are Liverpool able to score 7 one week, then concede 7 the next?
The strangest season ever. Leicester won the title, Southampton were in the top 6 two years running, West Ham were qualifying for Europe and Crystal Palace nearly won the FA Cup. Absolutely incredible.

The one and only time I’ve rooted for and enjoyed the journey of another club, and I don’t think Leicesters achievement gets enough respect. People always say the big teams were so bad that season etc. Leicester won the pl ffs we will never see nothing like it ever again in English premier league football.
Even as an Arsenal fan (which meant this season was REALLY frustrating seeing how every other top side struggled and we couldn't capitalize), this was without a doubt my favourite PL season of the last decade. Watching Leicester win was incredible. Plus the final day of us finishing above Spurs helped :)
What really annoyed me was how stubborn Wenger was..... Could he not see all we needed was one world class striker and a back up for coquelin, then we would've won the League

I'm of the opinion that Santi was our best and most important player during that era, and when he got injured, we really fell off. And with no one there to really back him up there, we suffered (Wilshere was injured for like the entire season I think, so the only one could've offered some of what Santi did, was gone.) I love Ramsey, but he wasn't really a good deputy for Santi. Maybe we could've won the league with an upgrade on Giroud, but he was really good, and if you look at his numbers with goals and xG and stuff, he really was a top tier striker in the prem.
To be honest this season is where the premier league peaked as an sport entertainment show plus all the big teams got humbled by a small leicter city truly one of most special football season in Europe.
