MY favorite went for $25k early ....buckskin 😊! (that chestnut at 14:25 alMOST nudged the buckskin) All were eye dropping impressive ...even the pony. Am I missing something..? ...what's with the all the palominos?? The stud colt was kooooooL 👍. What a trip, I look forward to the fall show. Good to see Cisco and Milo hanging in there too...nice job fellas 👍👍😉. Thanks for the ride along y'all! 🙂
Oh yes!! Lot 4 😍 So many pretty ones! HAHA maybe this is where I get my palomino love from. I don't know why but Pitzer's does seem to raise more palominos than the average person. I would say at Pitzer's you can expect to see lots of Sorrels, Bays, Roans, and Palominos 🙌 thanks for coming along Richard 🙌🥰
YOWZA!! They had some absolutely gorgeous horses! My favorites were lot #63 he was beautiful, so dark Bay I thought he was black and sleek shiny....and then of course you know me and palomino's, I loved the almost chocolate palomino that the Amish boy was riding. Just beautiful 🥰. The Pitzer sale is awesome! I understand why you make a point of going twice a year. Thanks for taking us along Amry 🥰. You and Cisco be safe driving home. That is a good question!! Sometimes it comes down to who wants it more! At auctions people get to bidding and really want a horse! The main difference is the horse itself and the feature that horse has to offer. Some horses have more desirable features (even a cool color) and that raises the price tag! Some horses are crazy talented and worth more to other people. I would say basic determining factors are age, breeding, color, training, size, etc....
The top selling horses were all Pitzer bred and out of Pitzer Ranch studs. Lot 37 Sire is Favorable Intentions. Lot 63 Sire is Duxiote. Lot 78 Sire is Dukes N Diva 😊

But....lot 26, I believe hebwas 11 yo, he sold for 40,000.00. Was he a gelding? And is it common for a gelding to sell that high? Maybe they have more or a specific training that points to price? I'm curious about cost between stallion vs gelding vs mare?
Hi there! Welcome to my channel 😊 yes lot 26 sold for $40,000. He was a gelding and from what I remember a VERY gentle gelding that the whole family could ride. That is a common and fair price for a gelding that can rope, trail ride, and be safe for any member of the family. The combination of being a gelding, safe, and having known proven parents on his papers is what made him sell for what he did. Typically for family rope horses geldings sell for more than mares. Studs will go higher if they have good papers and the people plan on breeding them. The horse market can change though, I’ve seen mares sell for more than geldings - I’m just giving you the average and common side of things 😊

That is a good question!! Sometimes it comes down to who wants it more! At auctions people get to bidding and really want a horse!
