    This couple are a ray of sunshine in a sometimes dark world. Their reactions to the situations that Michael describes, are pure gut reactions and that is what makes them so naturally funny. The lady, (sorry I don`t know her name) has obviously been in some of these situations, and she cannot hide her empathy with what is being described and presented as a joke. I shall be watching many more videos by this couple, I just LOVE them both.

    So the last clip was from his “big show” which he’s done for about 5 year or so. Part of “Michael McIntyre’s big show” is something called “send to all” where he takes a celeb’s mobile/cell phone rights a random text (usually something silly) and sends it to all of their contacts, then towards the end of the show he reads the text messages. It’s very funny. I would love for you to react to some of those.

    Roads are also so much wider and easier to navigate on in the states. The roads in the UK are often so narrow and in rural areas that it isn't as easy as just overtaking when you feel like it.

    I'm so patient and happy when driving, I don't mind traffic jams or when people don't thank as often one always has to give way to another (no such thing as right of way) also when cycling I wish car drivers use their lights as when sunny and they wave their hand I can't always see in the car at it

  • @grabtharshammer
    @grabtharshammer 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    What Jodi was saying at around 04:50 about everyone waiting patiently behind a tractor or cyclist in the UK. Perhaps you are not aware of the rules. Tractors tend to be on country lanes, "B" roads or even on some narrow "A" roads. If the line down the centre of the road is not broken, then you can not cross the line onto the other carriageway. You can not overtake until you get a broken centre line and can see the road is clear. Another more recent thing is that we are now supposed to treat cyclists like we would any other vehicle. You have to leave a car width between you when overtaking them whereas previously people would overtake without going over the centre line, giving the cyclist maybe only a foot between them and your vehicle.

    • @mlee6050

    • @grabtharshammer
      @grabtharshammer 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mlee6050 Yep, we have bad drivers. I don't overtake unless I can give enough clearance, but then I cycle too. But if the centre line is unbroken I will wait, which can annoy a lot of drivers behind me

    Overtaking the police reaction was interesting, your "Oh No!"... I wonder. When my Dad taught me to drive (in England) he always told me the police would drive slightly slower than the limit on purpose, and if you stayed behind them it made you look suspicious... sSo it's quite a regular occurance for me to overtake them on the motorway, even if it means doing a few over the limit! Not the same in the US, then??

    • @Jodi_BoringReviews
      @Jodi_BoringReviews 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      😮
      Nope! Not the same. Don’t overtake police officers unless there is traffic in their lane and not yours, or you don’t go over the speed limit. It’s like disrespecting authority to their face. They will follow you and see if you mess up or try to scare you too. It’s the worst.

    When a lane is closed, it's closed at the cones. You are supposed to "zipper", or "merge in turn". It is more effective. Just stay in the lane until the cones, then merge.

      I think he tends to get more of a bad rap from other comedians who resent his success and popularity.
      He is also mocked often by sneering comedians who are more interested in letting everyone know how intelligent they are, than they are in making people laugh.
      They project their inner misery and inadequacies onto people like McIntyre, as well as those who have the nerve to like him, by pretending that they are above those who find him funny.

    There's a law with cyclists that you have to give them 1.5m space when overtaking. That's why you'll often see people looking like they're waiting behind them, they don't want to, they just don't want to get a ticket if the police see you squeezing past them. Doesn't stop cyclists coming within 10cm of your car when they zip past in traffic though...

      Cyclists are vulnerable if we aren’t careful they die. If they aren’t careful same result

    • @TommyHax
      @TommyHax 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @paulbromley6687 they also don't pay road tax or have insurance, meaning they're out there for free and yet get all the privileges. Roads are for cars, if cyclists paid tax and insurance they'd have a point, but they're vulnerable because they're on something designed for cars, getting in the way doing 1/3 the speed limit when people are trying to get to work or to appointments.

      For those who don't know, lookup "merge in turn" - basically you are MEANT to use both lanes right to the end, and then merge alternate lanes. It'a the most efficient way.
      In the USA, lookup "zipper merge"

    A good deal of it with tractors are completely untrustworthy. If you overtake a tractor, it’s a 50/50 chance that it will turn in front of you and you hit it head on. They’re even worse with turning out of the field onto the road in front of you! 😳
