    I'm going to get one of these one day (dare to dream), and when I do, I think Igor has talked me out of a Lagoon. Haha. The FP boats tend to do it for me a bit more anyway because of their more open saloon layouts. They seem to use the space a lot more efficiently.
    Lagoon owners, don't worry, you're already way cooler than me on every level. I'd still own a Lagoon in a heartbeat if it came to that, even with all the things Igor has pointed out that they don't do perfectly. First world problems for sure.

    For me Croatia is the best in the world for all. It's very magic, under all the know-how. In every corner of it you discover a new landscape, always. It is its real magic and the native of the place also too. When You sail in every sea You have to cook cevapcici and pljeskavica with fried potatoes. Great man and great crew. Thank You for share it. Great video as always. You have now completely changed my thinking and expectations around Lagoon And Fountain Pajot catamarans. And what you say is true. You can see how quiet the PF is and how well it handles. A real eye opener for me. Always though Lagoon was the catamaran benchmark, but clearly not. I really hope Lagoon and PF watch these videos. He's frank and I like his views, and the funny part is he constantly screwed the Lagoon except the old one version such as 450. Actually F Pajot 47 is one of my lists and this makes it goin to the top of my list as he differentiate it with Bali cat as he mentioned the height of boom of main sail, I mean, he is right. The boom of Bali is worse, hard to zip its main sail when it's reefed considering its height.

    You spoke about the difference of the Lagoon (all nets in front), Bali (all plastic) and this Saona (half half). Could you explain why you prefer this set up ? Does it have something to do with strength, sailing performance, noise etc ? Very curious to hear your opinion on this one. You have sailed them all, which makes you the specialist to turn to.

    • @IgorStropnik
      @IgorStropnik  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bali actualy feels good in front but not good for heavy weather and I mis the net. FP has enought net and some plactic where you have storage. Lagoon has plenty of net. If you sail in calm area it is up to your peferences. If you sail heavy weather you should look for different boat anyway.

    very nice vlog! As for self-tacking jibs, after more than 30 years of sailing I share your statement that one mostly experiences head winds and that is where a self-tacking jib comes really handy especially when sailing single handed. So maybe you come to think nicer of ST jibs lol

    Les Lagoon sont toujours les plus gros, les plus lourds et les moins toilés de leur niveau de gamme. Pas besoin de philosopher, il suffit simplement comparer les fiches techniques ! Pour le mouillage peut-être que le match serait plus serré, mais en navigation il n'y a pas photo, les Lagoon se trainent plus que les autres. Et pour avoir traversé l'Atlantique sur un Saona je confirme que c'est un bateau plutôt rapide vu son confort royal et ses équipements (mais le bout dehors et le gennaker des options indispensables). A comparer avec un 450 c'est un bien meilleur bateau, plus marin, plus facile, plus alerte. Et puis à titre perso, les Lagoon avec leur vitres verticales ressemblent vraiment à des frigos... Niveau qualité de fabrication ? Les 2 marques se valent... C'est médiocre.
