I've got 1 of these in 308 must say the rifle did not group that well when using a bipod when I did load development for it. Shot over a bag I found a big difference in group size big improvement.
I shoot a ruger no 1 and a Thompson encore with three barrels so I’m now getting one of these in 6.5 CM they great too carry and especially in the woods free hand or using tree for support, many thanks Pete 👍
@@PCMGuns Pete in your experience of the Thompson and these bergaras would put these ba13 accuracy wise on par with the Thompson encore , the take down is much easier than the Thompson many thanks Steve
I’ve not shot a TC for many years, with decent hand loads my 30-30 tube using 150-grain pills could hold an inch at 100 yards. The Bergara shot around 1.3” with 170-grain Normal TipStrike, but that was just one load. I feel they are about on par, but calibre/bullet choice, be it factory or reload, should narrow the field as with all rifles. But an inch at 100 is more than enough.
Only just noticed at the end i wasnt watching gunmart tv🤣, nice little option for a compact reasonably priced rifle. Ive owned a rossi 223 before, not sure would i go back to ss. That was with the intention of night foxing though and never got much use unlike my current tikka t3x and bergata b14. For stalking i could see a single shot as a more viable option! Guess the 16" 8-twist would be more versatile regarding non lead but no doubt kick harder. Would be hell of a short.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of the 300 AAC/Blackout. Sub-sonic loads can have issues with expansion, a friend of mine has a straight-pull SGC Speedmaster, which he re-barrelled in Blackout and he uses 110-grain bullets, which, he reckons are much better for foxing and also on the range.

I had an Encore in 30-30 Win and 17HMR, sweet little combo. The No1 is another nice piece.

Have you tried subsonic 308 rounds

Yep, very much an acquired taste, but also a bit addictive.
Boy what a silencer
Yes, way too big, but it's the only 5/8x24 UNEF can I have, as Ive never had the need for one as much as the more common imperial and metric threads.
Do you recommend the 300 aac as I've swapped it for my 223
