Karen - I think all your tops are cute. You did a really good job. I especially like the first one - reminds me of a perfect transitional top: winter into spring and fall into winter into fall..
Karen • Is there a reason you don't measure the length on the pattern but just guesstimate how much to add? I'm also long waisted, so I always measure. If there are shorten or lengthen lines, I use those.
Hi Yvonne.. to be honest, I guess I am just lazy.. haha. Well, not always. I do measure, but I find that it depends on both the pattern lines and the fabric how well it works. In other cases, I take a guess based on previous makes, either because I am familiar with the particular block of the pattern company (like FPC) or because I have tried the pattern before. However, like in this case, I didn't get it quite right because the fabric choice was different than before. Most of the time, though, it turns out ok. I also use the shorten/lenghthen lines when the pattern has curves etc.
The Vera top you're wearing looks very nice on you
Hi Karen! Great reveal of your garments! Zelda 🙏🏼

A shame the Isla blouse didn't work out for you, the fabric is so pretty. Happy Easter 🌸
