This is why Home Free has no equal. We may never see this much talent in a group again.
Oh, you have heard this!! I am so glad. Austin is the first singer ever to convert this old soprano to being a tenor fan. Austin is my very favorite singer in the business today.
I like that you mention how they're not "competing" when they sing together. One of the things I love about Home Free is that there really doesn't seem to be anyone who is a bigger fan of any given member of the band than the other members of of the band. Their mutual admiration and respect for one another is so lovely.
I think it’s great that they chose to sing this. People who would have otherwise never listened to opera, may now choose to listen to more of it.
Regular people reactors are blown away by this performance. I think they need to do more opera. Rob's enunciation is impeccable. Would love to hear them do the Peal Fishers duet or Tamino's aria
Pearl Fishers duet is a great suggestion. Austin would knock it out of the park, those high B flats. 🎶
Yes Rob is opera trained. He was headed to become an opera singer and then changed paths. I don’t remember why. This is his father’s favorite song. Austin had to spend a lot of time convincing him to do this. Rob was a bit scared to do it since he hasn’t done opera in a long time and Austin wanted to show off his (Rob’s) skill. Austin loves the song too.
One of the things I think makes Home Free great is that they are always encouraging each other. They have no egos over who should sing lead in any song (in fact they often take turns singing the song to see who fits best where) and support each other in trying things differently all the time. We could all use friends like that.
He has dropped hints that continuing on that path was fiscally daunting.
@@gk5891 You’re right.
Yes it’s really clear that they support each other. I used to be in a male singing group and it wasn’t like that!! 😆
HaHa - that’s definitely true!
Yes, we saw how the rest of the group encouraged Austin to start developing a solo career, even when he wasn't sure he was good enough, how Tim nagged him to record When a Man Loves a Woman for several years. There is a special bond between Rob and Austin, dating back 10 years to when they first met.
The lack of ego amongst Home Free is, in my opinion, one of the main reasons they can create such phenomenal music. The all serve the music instead of trying to make the music serve them. Thank you for a wonderful reaction.
This group of guys from Home Free have reached legendary status in their ability to crossover to so many genres and do them with exquiste capablity. They literally have covered nearly 10 genres and do justice with all of them. They entertain at a very high level and don't put out junk.
I watched a Q&A session with Home Free a few years ago where someone asked who they felt was their best singer, and everyone but Rob said Rob. He's not got the broadest vocal range, the highest note, or the lowest note, but he has such a range of styles that he takes on effortlessly. Listen to this, then Man of Constant Sorrow, then Blue Ain't Your Color, then End of the Road, then What Christmas Means to Me, then the Butts Remix/Medley and be blown away by this man's facility at switching genres. He's massively talented, but so sweet with absolutely no ego.
I suppose I was more focused on Austin here because I know how rare that type of voice is. It literally sits 4 or 5 semitones above the standard male voice and.... because so much music was written for this voice type.... it's always needed!!
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Oh, indeed! Austin is a rare talent and, once again, not at all egotistical. He was the one who talked Rob into doing this, after all. Amusingly, he's always wanted to be a bass like bandmate Tim Foust.
@@lrfcowper His latest line on the subject, during a Sweet and Low livestream was that when he has children, he wanted one who sang like Tim. Slightly stunned silence while everyone tried to configure that one. Then Tim said "You're gonna keep having kids until you get a bass??" Amberly's reaction was not recorded lol.
@@patriciamcl54 Yeah, I saw that. I'm thinking Austin might want to adopt...
Oh, you’re so right…they are great friends ‼️…It was Austin who wanted Rob to do this…LOLOL…I love it when they do great things like this ‼️🎶🎵 Thank you for your great reaction ‼️
I do hope you’ll do more of Home Free….they have done some great videos….some serious & some just Fun 🙃‼️
In an interview Austin did with Patrol Gaming he said that he'd really wanted to show off Rob's "opera" voice; however, Rob said he wouldn't do it unless Austin did too. Austin went on to say that he'd thought he'd done all right but that Rob had just been fabulous. It's one of the (many) things I love about Home Free - they're also ego free and support each other and other new act (such as Texas Hill - their new collaboration of "Givin' Up on You" and Maggie Baugh (the live video of her with Home Free singing Delta Dawn is terrific). Love your channel!
Beautiful reaction, these two have stunned many of us with this one. Rob has opera training, but Austin was trained for theatre and was singing show tunes on a cruise ship when Home Free 'recruited' him, their voices sound amazing together.
I do love Austin - probably because I can really relate to his voice type.
I love that Austin featured his bandmate on his channel and just let him shine!
I love how Rob went for the traditional operatic style while Austin did a crossover style. Both amazing world class performances. Rob blew us all away with his chesty deep bellow. Love it! If you want a good seasonal piece, try HF's Alde Lang Syne. It's the best arrangement I've ever seen.
Might i sugest home free cover of “how great thou art” or a hauntingly bas and baratone led cover of dire straits “brothers in arms?
Masterpiece!!! Rob absolutely killed it!! Well they both did!!
Years ago Rob's vocal coach said he could have a huge career in Opera. Thank God he joined HF. Great reaction but the best I've seen so far is from an Italian opera singer who said listening to this she forgot not only weren't they opera singers she forgot they weren't Italian.
He could have been a Rossini tenor. But I honestly think he’s happier exactly where he is. The mix of genres is much more interesting!!
OMG! You are the reactor I have been wishing for to react to this song! 🥰💯🥰 You, being a trained opera singer knows WHEN to pause and speak on the vocals! 💯 Almost makes me teary eyed with gratitude for your reaction! 🥺 You have won a new subscriber here! Thank you thank you thank you Sir! ❤
Wow, thank you! I woke up this morning here in Bangkok and saw your message!! It made me very happy! - Will
Rob's darker (nearly baritenor) quality with Austin's brighter, high tenor voice just compliment each other so well on this.
Agreed John. The wonders of the human voice. ⭐️
That’s the difference between a “heroic” tenor and a “lyric” tenor.
@@Autumn8564, Rob's tessitura and timbre does put him in baritenor territory, though. He is quite comfortable in the mid 2nd octave, whereas, you can hear Austin is a pure tenor with his breathy, weak notes in the upper 2nd octave.
I just adore Homefree!! Each member has beautiful qualities in his voice ! Together ?.....MAGIC !
"Helplessly Hoping" is stunning.
You might like to check out the Home Free group singing "O'Holy Night" Austin hits some nice sustained high notes in it and overall the guys did a great job with the harmony and arrangement.
Definitely, I will check it out today, especially as we are singing it here in Bangkok in a few weeks!
Loved your reaction. I always enjoy reactors who have a background in music and who can speak to the performance with knowledge and understanding.
Thank you.
I knew that Home Free covered almost any genre and one day I said to my sister "I fully expect to tune in some day and see Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma". And then they actually did it. And pretty well, I think. I hope you take a look at some of HF's catalog. Maybe How Great Thou Art or Helplessly Hoping to start. But you really can't miss no matter where you start.
They’re so talented and seem to get along really well. Austin in particular had that super high tenor. I saw somewhere that he was talent-spotted singing on a cruise ship.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Yup. He was part if the onboard entertainment and Home Free came on as "featured performers". When their lead tenor left, they contacted him and the rest is history.
@@kmwwrench Though Tim (typically) says that the reason they wanted Austin was not his vocal abilities but because he could read music. And they still kept him waiting for 6 months before Rob let him know they could meet up..
What a fair and brilliant assessment from a different reviewer than we Home Fries get to see. Welcome and I hope you do more reaction to my favorite group. 😊
Thank you. I was just looking at HF singing O Holy Night. Wow!
Hat a brilliant, intuitive review. I respect that Austin never completely looses his country, southern twang. He's quite received as he is, but Nessum Dorma really reveals his flexible and high voice. As for Rob, there's nothing more to say: he reveals training that few ever experience.
I don't hear the twang here. Maybe because he's singing in Italian. I certainly don't hear it in Austin's rendition of Bring Him Home from Les Miz.
I think he possibly speaks quite high too, right? His voice has naturally upper harmonics and the 'twang' is good not just for Country!! :-)
Where exactly was the twang? I keep asking people who refer to it and never get an answer. I can't hear it, Italian reactors can't hear it. (Btw I think you meant "loses"). As for "never" singing without an accent, I'd refer you to a song called Your Bed, Austin's version of a demo he was sent, which is in a rather Broadway style. He sings it in that style, with a completely neutral accent. What did you think he was doing on a course designed to produce top rate musical theatre performers? He's spoken of being trained to get the Georgia out of his voice.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach His speaking voice goes up and down according to the time of day, lower and more resonant in the morning, going towards squeaky when he's tired.
I am so glad you are covering Home Free! And as usual, your reaction is insightful and respectful, I hope to see some reactions from you that focus on the other singers in Home Free, particularly Tim Foust who has blown a few sound systems with his low notes.
Ah Nanette, I was just thinking about you this morning here in Bangkok. We will into our house in the next few days. The interior painting is just finishing. I’m hoping we can have a session on your song (your own composition) and your singing technique. Would you still be interested?
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Indeed I would. Whenever you are ready.
I think our boys did a fantastic job.💗
I hope that you will check out the groups videos as well as some of the members' solo work. Austin's channel is where you found this video, so you are already familiar with his. Tim Foust, the bass with a 5-octave range, also has a channel with a lot of great content including 4 videos for songs from his solo Doo Wop album where he laid down ALL the tracks himself. Home Free covers everything from Bluegrass to R&B; from Oldies to Sacred music; covers and originals.
Since you mentioned musical theatre, might I suggest Austin's rendition of Bring Him Home?
Thanks I will look at that. I’m sure he sings it in a high key (original is G?)
Oh Yes, Please. Would love a reaction and analysis of "Bring Him Home" by Austin. He has some wonderful originals and covers on his channel !!
Rob is trained in Opera. Austin studied Theatre. Rob wouldn;t do this without Austin. It was a gift for Rob's father.
I love to hear a professional musician respect the talents of the Home Free men! You understand not only the musicianship, but also the very love and soul they put into every song they give us. Thank you for putting them forward with so much joy.
Thank you Elizabeth for your refreshing and beautiful message. Will
Brothers in Arms has been requested, which is amazing. Afterwards, you should check out Mayday (I think you are ready). Then Peter Hollens (another great singer/video creator) cover of Misty Mountains with Tim Foust. THEN, Tim's cover of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay".
Gosh, so MANY great songs!
So glad to see that you reacted to this William, it absolutely blew my mind when I saw it the first time. I always associated this aria with Pavarotti, and yes there were other great tenor’s, Domingo and Carras, of course but Pavarotti took ownership of it at some point and it seemed to be universally accepted, I absolutely accepted it. I love Home Free and Pentatonix, amazing a cappella groups, and of course Dimash, so I am looking forward to seeing your journey with some a cappella. This has always been my favorite tenor aria, I was so pleased with these gentlemen, and yes , clearly Rob is trained, he’s been holding out on us, secretly I think Austin talked him into this so the world could hear the other side of Rob’s voice, Austin looks so proud of Rob, they are precious ❤
Thankyou. I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and your reaction. You might enjoy Helplessly Hoping. It really highlights the individual voices I the group. 🎼❤️🎼
I have never seen this group before so thanks for your reaction and introducing me to them. Love your calm relaxed reactions keep going. I watched your video talking about people's comments and one or two were horrible. Ignore them they are only jealous that they don't know as much as you.
Ha! So sweet of you. I didn't mind the negative comments - I thought they were quite funny actually!!
Great reaction! I have never been a fan of opera except maybe some Andrea Bocelli & a few others. But I have always appreciated the talent it takes to sing opera. I was pretty impressed with Rob & Austin's version of Nessun Dorma. I have heard this famous song done by Pavarotti. I think I was more surprised by Rob's range & powerful delivery than even Austin's. Rob had some opera training 15 years ago. And Austin is trained in musical theatre. Pretty good for a couple of country boys! Nice to see them dressed up in suits & looking classy.
Opera is very beautiful but it can be a bit long and daunting. Andrea Bocelli isn’t really an opera singer! He’s more crossover. For the greatest crossover, try Mario Lanza. ❤️
@@BangkokVoiceCoach I agree about Bocelli. The first time I heard this Pavarotti was singing it. Brought me to tears and it did every time after that. This was nice but I didn't feel any emotion from it nor was there any depth of sound it was all in their head to me. That is just me. Some women have sung it and I don't know why considering the meaning. How is the reno coming along?
They are so talented. This aria always brings me to tears. Excellent, amazing, beautiful. Tears everywhere... 😢
Loved your comment that they are professionals. I hope that when they set their european tour dates, they can convince these guys to sing some Italian opera when they visit that country.
Total professionals. From what I've seen, they put a huge amount of preparation into their vocal arrangements. All very accomplished.
I Love Home Free! You haven't posted any other videos with the whole group. How about reacting to something like their "Brothers in Arms"?
This was my first experience of these boys! Love them too.
Sure would love to see them visit thailand. I've heard some live singing down in hua hin and I was shocked. So good singing western and world songs compared to 45 years ago when I was here. Thanks for the reaction. Rob is something else, isn't he?
Delightful. Thanks, William!
Your welcome 🙏
They did this so well! First time I heard this I could not believe it. They are so awesome! Love your reaction!
Tenor 1/2 ROB .... blends with his band-mate - Austin Tenor 3 (and then some) ..... simply nail this aria for two reasons = They have gifted voices with a wide range of Country/POP/ Rock and now Classical Music Theater standards ...... no boundaries with this skill level ! jj
I would love to hear your reaction to Austin Brown’s version of “Bring Him Home”, (the video where he’s accompanied by a piano. Recorded at home, during the pandemic isolation.)
Do yourself a favor and check out Austin singing, “Bring Him Home” from Les Miserables. You can find the video on his TH-cam channel. (Austin Brown). It was recorded at his home in Nashville. Please react to it! He has other covers and his original songs there too. Thank you! Enjoyed your review!
One of my favourite arias ever since I heard Pavarotti sing it ‘live’ and I found tears streaming down my face. I really enjoyed this so will check out more too! Only 3 ‘live’ songs have affected me deeply after going to 100s of concerts - Pavarotti and then this year Dimash singing ‘Ave Maria’ and Alfie Boe singing ‘Bring him home’ Plymouth UK 🇬🇧
I can totally relates to you. I've had a few experiences like that where I was just floored, sitting there with tears streaming. Can be a bit on the embarrassing side, but most people don't notice!! One was when I was at the Royal Albert Hall and Jessye Norman was in full flight. It was like Mother Nature had harnessed her voice.
What a great reaction!!!! You are right. Whatever I always say, you feel the brotherhood with them, not rivalry. That's why Austin managed to convince Rob to do this. But yes this is wow, wow and wow.. This is insane. Fantastic. Both are absolutely great, but you recognize Austin's voice right away. But Rob, I'm perplexed. His voice is just magical, so rich, so warm and powerful. Chills just ran through my body. It flows into my heart. For me he will be able to stand with the greatest of opera singers. It's not often that I listen to songs by opera singers 5 times and more in a row. But here it is. Of course I hope that both will always continue to do Home Free, but I wouldn't think it wrong that such "trips" are made more often. Opera, country, ballads, soul etc. I think anything is possible..
Does Rob normally sound different? I must check!!!
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Yes, at least for me. But of course I am not a vocal coach.😊
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Rob sings lighter in the group. He is amazing as they all are. They have said they are like family. Austin has his own channel, where this song was posted. Tim Foust, the basso profundo of the group and has a 5+ octave range. He has his own channel also and has a doo wop album,a capella, where he sings all the parts. Adam Rupp, the beatboxer, and one of the original founders, is absolutely amazing, one if the best. When he does sing, he has is clear high tenor. Chance is the baritone and joined the group in 2016 when Adam's brother,Chris went on to a solo career. The group started in 2000 in Mankato,Minnesota. Rob joined in 2008, Tim around 2010,though he sang bass for the group off and on. Austin joined in 2012. And Chance joined in 2016 when Chris moved on. They sing a variety of music. They are an a capella group, but have incorporated a instruments on a couple songs in their new album. Tim and Austin wrote most of the songs on the new album. Once you start down the Home Free rabbit hole, you discover a wealth of astonishing talent. They are by far the best a capella group at present. We fans follow and subscribe to the reactors who follow their music. They have fans worldwide and will go on a second European tour next year plus Australia. They are independent artists because they are hands on with decisions. You will truly enjoy them.
@@nanadeborah8717 Goddess, I hope that tour is after The Fourth. I'm hoping for a Home Free concert anywhere in the States for my birthday. Or maybe for the Winter Solstice if need be. That'll give me more time to save up more money for HF merchandise, motel, etc.
@@nightthornkvala94132 I don't think they have released many dates for next year yet.
Hi William, yes, both of them can sing.😄😂😇 These are trained voices that complement each other wonderfully in terms of pitch. I suspect that if only one of them had sung it wouldn't have sounded so great - although each voice is exceptionally good on its own. But together they are even better.
I allow myself to recommend an artist to you - AURORA.
AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer with a style all her own.
AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back.
AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them.
It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves
------------------------------------
- It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - th-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/w-d-xo.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies
--> One opera singer has responded to "It Happened Quiet" by saying that the harmonies remind her of Lakme's "Flower duet".
And that something like that would be very rare to find in today's music.
------------------------------------
- Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - th-cam.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/w-d-xo.html - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - phenomenal acoustics
- Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - th-cam.com/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/w-d-xo.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard
Three important bits of information I found from another commenter:
1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” -
AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th.
2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. -
AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together.
3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death.
Which artist does that?
I hope that I was able to arouse your curiosity.
Have a nice day and
Greetings from Germany
I totally agree that this had to be a duet. That's what makes it work. Their interaction and support of each other is so brotherly.
Rob is a chameleon vocally and can switch to any genre seamlessly. He certainly rises to the occasion with this.
Incredible vocal gift. Is he going for a solo run now?
@@BangkokVoiceCoach He's the only one of the group to not do solo work. I actually wish he would. He does a movie review podcast with a friend of his called The Avid Indoorsmen.
Thank you! They are incredible.
Love This 💕
the vocal musicianship that these two guys from home free are fantastic singers country or not
Rob can sing it all too. Rap, R&B, country and pop. 😊You sound like arum vocal coach with an open mind!
I was interested that you said that Austin's voice was worth a lot! I think he'd like some pointers on that! Money is of course a constant worry for independent artists and the industry seems to be trying to starve them out. Touring used to be the answer, now that''s getting more expensive. Home Free have said that they are cutting back their touring schedule quite dramatically, because they can't afford to do shows in small venues any more, and they are all in a stage of life where they want time with their kids and SOs. I have thought for some time that Austin should find some way of getting back to musical theatre, where his beautiful voice might be heard, but he may have left it too late. We'll see how he and his bandmates deal with the extra time to themselves.
You might be interested to hear Austin's versions of demos sent to him by a slightly reclusive figure known only as ResurrecSis Music, in arrangements by his constant colleague Sebastien Douyon. The first I heard, called Empty House, is a stunning hard blues expressing great grief, and I think it's Austin's best work to date. He doesn't just kill it, but buries it too. Another called Your Bed is very Broadway ballad in style and he hits exactly the right tone and style.
Hello! I found your comment very interesting! I checked out ResurrecSis and Austin’s beautiful vocals.
Touring is so expensive, with hotels, flights, theatre hire, publicity & PR, taxes, promotors’ cuts, there can be surprisingly little left to divide between five! I was in a singing trio that toured the US & Canada and it was a constant battle to cover costs. I left the group and made my money in the world of corporate & wedding entertainment. It may not be everyone’s dream but at least I got a largish nest egg with which I could move to Thailand.
One thing for Austin: it’s hard to make big money when you are singing other people’s songs because they get most of the royalties. If he could combine his astonishing vocal talent with some self-penned hit ballads, he could become wealthy. As Don McLean once said when asked what does American Pie mean. “It means I’ll never have to work again.” Boom! 🙄🎶🙏
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Austin does do a lot of song writing. Home Free has done some of them & this last CD they just put out of 14 songs,12 are originals by either Austin or Tim.
Love your informed reaction!! Hope you’ll do more HF reactions. Signed, new sub
Thanks Debbie.
Rob has had opera traing in college tho he was nervous cuz its been 15 years. Austin has background in musical theatre🌹

Rob was actually trained in Classically trained in college. Austin has both Classically ang Musical theater training. This was Austin's idea and he had to convince Rob to do it. You see Rob had not sung Opera in 15 years. Truly enjoyed watching your reaction and analysis to this song.
Rob studied Opera in college 15 years ago and wasn't sure he could sing it again. Once Austin heard Rob's part, he redid his part because he didn't think his first try was good enough.
Ah!
This was my first reaction of yours to watch. I am a dedicated home fry! 😂 I really appreciated your analysis and am now subscribed. Keep the the Home Free coming! ❤
Thank you god subscribing Teri
Nice to hear your review.
Popular singers can often have come from a classical or opera background. Rob Lundquist had formal operatic training and sounds gorgeous in this. Austin Brown was more focused on musical theater in university but can handle this quite beautifully. Austin is the high tenor in Homefree, Rob is the tenor.
If you didn't know Homefree did not focus on country music until the Sing-Off competition when they were asked to focus on it for the show.
Avi Kaplan is another popular singer who was with the American acapella band Pentatonix and now is a singer-songwriter in folk rock but was one of the rare basso profundos training in opera and choral studies in college when the Pentatonix opportunity came up.
Yes I knew that they focused only on country towards the end. That became their USB. I think Austin is awesome.
I think it's wonderful!
On my way over there soon. Do you think they'll ever make a stop? Going to my 3rd HF concert in bitter cold on Sunday. Thanks for that from a warm place.

Tudo é possível na ✨️era✨️ Dimash. Duas vozes lindas cantando com alegria Nessun Dorma. A arte, sobretudo na música tinha necessidade de evoluir, ainda bem que estes dois cantores tiveram a coragem de experimentar. 👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Have you heard them do O Holy Night? Spectacular finish! Try some of their other Xmas songs-Mary Did You Know and Do You Hear What I Hear-great arrangements-all three!
Yes I have. I did a review view. Awesome vocals.
New subscriber here. I have always loved to sing, especially harmony. I just hear it in my head when listening to a song and then try to pick it up. I have zero training nor any musical background at all. I'm fascinated by the observations of people who are singers themselves and train others. I've learned so much about the sounds I make and how I make them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for subscribing! Funnily, I often create harmonies when I sing along, just like you. There's something very fun and creative about it, rather than singing the melody line which is bit.... predictable !!! Will
Stunning 🎶❤️👏👏
these guys didn't just sing they SANG as the ole country folks would say!
HaHa. Love it
Nicely done. Nailed it perfectly.
Definitely
Because these guys did this aria, maybe more people will check out opera.
Pavarotti has 40 million hits for this aria! And Bocelli probably another 40 million. I think the guys did it really as a challenge and we’re really surprised at how well it turned out.
Loved the reaction, got to learn a lot about the singing techniques…✌🏻
If you're interested in technique, check out the reactor Jen Glatzhofer too. in a lovely relaxed giggly manner she really gets down to the position of almost every part of the mouth and body, in gruesome detail. She has a slight crush on Austin, which is amusing to watch.
trying? I think they did excellent!

Someone was talking about bright vocal as opposed to full body and rich. I feel Rob is perfect in body and Austin has a more forward and bright
Exactly. Austin’s voice is more rare and very much in demand for opera and musical theatre because it’s the “Romantic lead” voice type.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach My voice is more like Rob, I really love how Gospel Rob can reach you when they do Dreamer live @ The Ryman. Seeing it live was magic. Enjoy they're gifts as Home Free is rare

Great! Brilliant performance! Except Austin didn't seem too emotional to me, despite his gorgeous voice. Maybe I don't understand something))))
Good not to be "too emotional" when you are singing those difficult Puccini vocals. Don't want to disturb the constant flow of breath! I think he handled it exactly right.
@@BangkokVoiceCoach Hi! I would like to invite you to listen to the wonderful Russian opera singer Ildar Abdrazakov. But maybe you know him.
Ildar Abdrazakov Don Basilio aria, performed near the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia

Aida Garifullina and Ildar Abdrazakov "No ti scordar ti me" (fan camera, unfortunately)

A couple of days ago, Ildar opened the season in La Scala, Milan, performing the main role in the opera Boris Godunov.
If you look at a translation of the lyrics, you'll see that in Rob's first part the prince is dreaming about the sociopathic princess he hopes to win. In Austin's first part the prince stops dreaming and expresses his determination only to divulge his identity when he kisses the girl. So that part can't be dreamy and emotional.
This is where you are wrong about Rob. He IS classically trained. Austin is just trained in musical theatre. So Rob is not straining here. He knows how to sing this.
Austin is such a naturally high tenor, Nessun Dorma is a walking in the park for him.
Puccini is the master!
He certainly is.
Great reaction. Thank you.
Pls, some more of Dimash.
Yes ❤️
