You should have seen Saxon Weiss at the Dallas Guitar Show last May playing Eric Johnson's "Manhattan" at a booth. Guess who walks by? Yes, Eric himself who later dedicated that song when he played it.

Golden hair... The boy plays this simple harmonic progression with modernity. Beautiful chromatic passages and feeling in the notes and interpretation. That's what Blues, Jazz, music in general is about, or at least that's how it should be. Ditto for Jeff Beck's eternal bassist. Pleasant improvisations to listen to. 👏
Even as our culture and economy often seem more bizarre and baffling by the day, it's great to have reminders like these that music itself is still in such very good hands, of all ages.
so such beautiful playing from both. relaxing and playing time with confidence behind the soloist. feeding them. feel. thatll take time to get . i believe because its often the last attractive quality to playing music that is noticed by younger players. but once that comes. its seems to be the first thing audiences notice when listening :). kind of counter intuitive. Tals feel is impeccable.
