  • Violin solo performance at our company.
    Melody arrangement :
Blue bells of Scotland, arranged by WMC Honeyman.
Started learning this melody and variations with my dear uncle Mr T. J. Louis (Looben Music School). While doing my homework in the lesson, came across an idea to adjust the tempo and some measures to suit the theme of the name "blue bells", which are actually flowers, occasionally breaking away from the set flow of notes. A coincidence that my rendering of this Scottish flower song happened to be in the annual season that flowers are the highlights, also in my native state of Kerala.
And there was an afternoon breeze that came a few notes after I started, but stayed a good one, not so strong as to push the stand, though I had no way to be sure till the end, just like a Godsend breeze in a garden of flowers.
Forgot my glasses which necessitated improvising some more notes and by God's grace was able to complete.
Thanks to my colleagues and team who enabled me to find some time for the performance.
Special thanks to HCL Sparks team for the encouragement and Lavanya for the smart recording, that has helped my family view my humble efforts, well received.
