On this episode 62, we continued our journey to Usal Beach where our vans ran aground on the sand.
Please join us and our chihuahuas as we share our van life explorations, and please feel free to leave us comments below. We appreciate any feedback you may have. Thank you again for watching!

Always air down your tires in soft sand. Also you should have recovery tracks if you plan on doing more off road. Thanks for sharing!

Absolutely! Thankfully our AWD was able to get us out without either in this situation :)

Oh man, what a great location to camp! such a cool area its worth getting a bit stuck. Nice you had all-wheel drive. I always worry about going into sand with our F250 - its really heavy. I think we have the same compressor - via-air 450 ? We have been very happy with it. The drive in there looked really cool too - kind of a secret passage :) Some of those turns are pretty tight - not sure how we would have faired (obviously we would not be towing the trailer!). Very well done and love the great drone footage - thanks for sharing.

We didn't see any big trailers but there were a few smaller off-road trailers there! Pretty cool area and you could tell many locals go there a lot but very small groups.

Good morning. Thanks for sharing a fun and full of experiences off roading. I enjoyed the AWD vs 4 x4 and sand. AWD 🎉

Hey Guys Happy New Year!! We see people get stuck on the Washington and Oregon Coast so often. As a matter of fact another you tube channel we met up with got stuck while they were here and luckily got pulled out but it did her the rig a bit. I was surprised how many of the vans kept getting stuck I may have just left. This area is so neat I love the drive through and all the trees what a neat adventure place to stay and hang out at. Great drone footage. Good to see you hope you had a wonderful holiday season and wishing you a Happy, healthy and adventurous 2024!

Swamp Girl! Haha man the Ford LT made the sand look easy with that AWD.

I couldn't believe we caught her swamp warnings so well with the #insta360 lol. Thankfully the AWD is a savior, just need that clearance!

Yep, sand can be tricky even with all wheel drive, we only have two wheel with a truetrack locker. We avoid sand that deep.
Camping in the forest much better choice.

Those lockers are amazing! We are definitely happy with the AWD but need to be careful with the deep sand and snow in the future haha

@@VanDoghies airing down to about 15 psi helps to. Then air up with your Viar pump
