Tsolmon Naimdii you should be proud. Mongolian people are so special. I dream of visiting Mongolia some day. with respect I want to say you are very beautiful.
Didn't like the underdeveloped nature of Mongolia as a spoiled teenager. But after studying abroad for years, I feel extremely homesick. The seemingly unlimited mountains, the sheeps and goats calmly strolling along grasses, young children riding horses while bragging about their recent victories, and the beautiful women in the capital, everything makes me feel sad, but proud.
the children's song brought tears to my eyes. Having spent my childhood there, it brings lots of memories and emotions, along with a longing to go back to the beautiful countryside and busy capitol. The memories are happy ones.
I am Native-American but I know nothing about the Mongolian culture. But I read something about the Native-Americans being originally Mongolian before leaving there as the Clovis people stopping in Siberia, mixing with the eurasians before crossing the Bering strait into North America (Alaska) then throughout North, central and South America.
m. mann Mongolian girl revealed her DNA test on youtube and she had 10% of Native American blood meaning part of Mongolians migrated thousands of years ago to America.
You are special! You have experienced life in Mongolia and Germany, and other countries... Be proud of your heritage and share it with your children and the world. Thank you for sharing this video.
"Lets plant trees. Make this a greener place." I love that. I hope the wilderness of the Mongolian steppe and hills are never touched by the ilk of civilization
I have dream one day to visit Mongolia, coz as a Nepalese, I have a connection with Mongolia,as belief my tribe are emigrate from Mongolia originally......
Some Nepalese are type Mongolian but not all from Mongol Empire. The military of black banner of Mongol Empire stayed in Nepal. I have seen the martial arts and Buddhism power being used in the Nepalese elite force are similar to Mongol. They also spread all over South East Asia, China, Korea and Japan.
I am from Pakistan, and see this video and loved it.hope to visit Mangolia some day, big respect for mongolian citizens. Love thier culture, how they respect elders, and trying hard to keep thier culture alive...
Mongolia has a beautiful nature and fascinating culture. Mongolian countryside is like a paradise for people who spend 365 days in the city and want to see untouched environment and have a good rest. However, it is worth mentioning that UB has developed tremendously and became an international city with all pros and cons.
‘’Children and animals need to play outside in the summer... Mongolian people move a lot during the year, it’s good for the soul...’’ Truer words my dear...
"Swastika" has its origin from Hinduism where the word is derived from the Sanskrit “su” meaning “well” and “asti” meaning “being.” It symbolizes auspiciousness and good luck.
I learned that when I took a class on meditation. I was shocked. It is do interesting how something that was a symbol of positive was taken and used for negativity.
FANTASTIC STORY!!! The beauty of this documentary is Saruul's very personal perspective. I, too, was born in two different cultures, and that gave me a perspective on Life and advantage that most people do not have. Because I could then clearly see at an early age, the advantages and shortcomings of all cultures. So we must TRANSCEND CULTURE and embrace the deepest Spirit of HUMANITY.
I can imagine what this Mongolian woman from Germany, who came to her ethnic Homeland, is experiencing. The shock of the standard of living of the people, mired in medieval life and the beginning of the timid development of the country as a whole. At night it will seem that everything happens in a dream, but with the dawn comes the understanding that it is necessary to live and work.
A great video. Small things I noticed. Mongolians are much more physically affectionate with one another than other East Asians. They openly smile. They are close to the land while other East Asians are close to the concrete. Meat eaters and not rice eaters.
Nice to see a Mongolian succesfull women, hope more will comes. Nothing like a place than your own home, culture. Your special never forget that, be proud.
Sadly you don't see any Mongolian characters being used in Mongolia anymore, only Russian characters. In Inner Mongolia, China, however, you can still see Mongolian characters on the billboards and road signs.
The Mongolians have used a variety of scripts over the centuries. That is not imp0ortant. What is important is that they still speak Mongolian and not Chinese.
Mongolia, one of those countries that you never ever hear anything about in the western world almost l;ike it doesn't exist. Never a news report or article about it, makes it much more interesting to me.
TheSillypig There are so many documentaries and videos about Mongolia on youtube, news about Mongolia mostly on science and archaeological or mining websites. It is very peaceful country not like North Korea or America debating over politics and nuke war.
what an eye-opening documentary; she's a lovely lady, smart and sophisticated..... she's a breath of fresh air in a country that's emerging from it's old Soviet handlers.
+amartinjoe It's interesting that she even chooses to give the interview in German instead of Mongolian. She seems to have accepted it as her 2nd mother tongue (or maybe the film makers didn't have a Mongolian translator handy). Anyway, she's a very interesting woman ... a German-Mongolian, there's just something weirdly fascinating about such combinations.
Being unaware of Mongolia, I've always see them living in a tent within their own tribes similiar to Kengis Khan Movie. I'd never known that Mongolia is a very beautiful country with advance technologies❤
In 1994 I visited Mongolia. Was there for 6 days. At the time Mongolia was emerging from former Soviet domination. A fascinating country. This video shows a whole new place than what I experienced.

Hello, What do people from Mongolia think of the Mongols living outside Mongolia. For example, there are 6 million Mongols living in Afghanistan, they are called the Hazaras. Hazara means thousands in Persian and it refered to the military so the world Hazara would meant being part of the military. Now these Hazaras are very simple minded people therefore they fall prey to the cunning Afghans therefore they are badly used and abused, from slavery to mass murder and even used under the name of religion. Any how they are good fighters though but only and only if they have a good leader otherwise they are easily manipulated and used. Please google Hazaras. I am one of them, I knew for sure that I am Mongol as I look Mongol but to prove I did a DNA test which as I expected traced me as a Mongol. There are many Hazaras like me from Afghanistan who knows they are Mongol, and since for the first time in 300 years in Afghanistan only since 2001 Hazaras are allowed to attend school therefore we now have many educated people and like myself dream of one day connecting with the mother land.
+Altai Khan Damn, sorry bro. I have heard that Hazaras get treated like shit. I am a Mongolian. Speaking of our people, there`s a whole bunch in China who are called Inner Mongolians, and some say that the Natives in the Americas are actually of Mongolian descent, specifically soldiers who got lost on their way to conquer Japan with Khubilai when the infamous Tsunami happened. I could be wrong though because I`m not good at history and remembering stuff.
