I am making a junk journal/gluebook for my mother-in-law. I am very new to actually making journals, but I have been harvesting images for about 6 months 😊 I am hanging on your every word through this whole series. In her journal, I am planning on using magazine, book and catalog pages inside a 8x10 hardcover book from the 60s that was falling apart. It is going to be a vintage/nature/garden book when I’m finished. (Hopefully) 😳
What a beautiful project for your MIL! I am sure she will love it! I have some free vintage and nature downloads in my Patreon if you haven't joined yet :) There's a free membership available.
Unfortunately, I have not acquired a printer yet. I am saving up for one. I want to get a nice one that prints good quality images, but I don’t want to spend a fortune on ink either. Do I need to reinforce the inside of the spine before I decorate the outside? Or does it matter? I’m using duck tape for the reinforcement and then using fabric for my hidden spine and then putting paper on either side of the spine. Does that make sense? Lol.
@alishastubbs8651 I have an HP and use their Instant Ink program. It's been very economical for me so far. If you are using an old book that you say was "falling apart", I would definitely reinforce the spine with the duct tape and fabric. But you can decorate the outside first - the tape and fabric don't go on the outside. Does that answer your question?👍
Love this video. I've never seen the closers from T.H. before. Just finished a chicken journal for my niece and starting a journal for my daughter about Kauai. She got married there. ❤❤❤
Veddy interesting. I found some of this confusing though.
Do you have questions?

A chicken journal! I would absolutely love to see a photo of that. And a marriage in Kauai. I imagine Kauai is what paradise will be like.
@@TheScrapologist Kauai has one kingdom for the whole island. I didn't want to leave. My family had to drag me off the beach.
