When doing the larger journals I always like to add a small simple quick in and out journal and your creative ways reminded me to add a smaller journal to the large ones. I love simple, attractive closures. It's like the perfect necklace to the dress!

I so agree, closures can add that special, 'extra interest,' can't they? ♥️

If you have an old belt you can recycle it to use as a closure. It will require a little work and rigging up but it will look very beautiful for bigger and/or thicker books.

Stopped by just to see what you were doing. You gave me an idea for a journal that I didn't put a ribbon in before I should have. You can start with your wax thread on the inside when sewing a signature in , go to top, in the bottom, and in the middle. It will sew the ribbon to the signature. Thanks😂😂❤

I'm so glad you found the video helpful! Seems like I did a couple of videos when I made that one... one was titled, "Preparing a Christmas Envelope Junk Journal," and another one was "Christmas Journal Adding Final Pockets" and "Christmas Envelope Journal- Create/Decorate Cover -Assemble, and Final Flip Through". So best I can tell, there are 3 videos. It was from 3 years ago, so they are older videos. Hope they help!

Thanks for these closure ideas. I have seen the belly band and wrap around types. The others were new but cool 😎 ideas.
The book style with the elastic closure, you mentioned that you would do a tutorial on that, have you done it as yet?

Oh, I see, a magnetic clasp. I have since purchased some small magnets...make that, tiny, magnets, that I have used on my own. They aren't the kind that has an indentation like the kind on a purse. I'll have to see if I can find those, they seem really secure. Good idea!
