I don’t know if anyone else thought of this but you begin to appreciate the filming jobs of the TH-cam boys and the hard work they do on their videos and production versus the filming crew of this video and there production team.

I thought he withdrew after the 6th, but he popped up in a couple shots 1hr. later. His game really got exposed. Dude was 6 off the lead after the 3rd hole and 10 off by the 6th. And yes, shout out to Cole, FP and Grant for riding it out until the end even though they didn't have their best game that day.

I think we can all admit the production wasn't on par for what the creators can put together. But I was entertained and watched the entire tournament. Doubt I'll watch over 2 hours of The Myrtle Beach Classic. This is a new era of Golf.
There’s a very good chance this video will be seen by more people than the tournament. No shade intended, it’s just a new world out there and the tour should do more like this. (With fewer fake bird sounds and better editing.)
Agreed. I would've really loved to see more shots and how they ended up. And the way they displayed the scoring was terrible. Nonetheless, I couldn't stop watching. Would love to see more.

Well that Myrtle Beach PGA tournament went from a must watch with George earning the spot to a who cares very quickly.
If you watch Bryan bros you know Crashkins. Maybe not like George, but he’ll have a following too. Good to see it go to a tour grinder anyway. Hope he makes some money and reps SC. I imagine George will get another shot soon.

You can tell how good Micahs editing crew is, easy to hit good shots with multiple takes when you get in a tournament you completely fall apart = real golf!
With all the time they had, you think they could have leveraged all of the content creators they have on the course to spruce this up during post-production. No yardages, no commentary. Such a cool idea, just lacking a little on execution. But stoked to see these guys out there competing.

This was fun to watch. I feel for George. My only complaint here, while I know you have to cut some of the shots, Peter Finch played incledibble and was on pace with Deneen but we saw almost no shots from him after the 6th and we saw a lot of Deneen. Finchy boy deserved more showing. That guy’s a pleasure to watch always. Fun concept. Enjoyed it.
Finch was definitely the player who over-performed where he should be. By his own admission he didn't practice much this winter, and he goes out and shoots a 73.
Did the editors watch this before they put it out? Someone get jet and big ticket to run it back.
There was a hole on the back 9 where they showed Tyler Watts hitting his shot on to the green, there was already a ball on the green from a previous shot. The next player we see up is Crashkins, and hes hitting the ball we saw on the green when Tyler tee'd off
That is just bad editing.
So instead of letting us watch live, they make us wait a couple months just to make us watch live…? This qualifier was a good idea but had terrible execution
You obviously don’t know how much it would have cost to broadcast that event live vs. film it and edit it. And of course they’re gonna premiere it live on TH-cam so you have to watch the whole thing and can’t just jump to the end and spoil it.

There was no commentary, no shot explanation, no caddy back and forth, no conversation in between holes, no yardages, extremely quick transitions to just capture the shots and miss all the actual content that is entertaining. Its as if we are just watching raw clips spliced together, aka as if it was a live broadcast. If any of the YTers in the competition were in charge of the videography, editing, and final product it would have been much more entertaining to watch.
This was a very very cool idea to bring eyes to the sport and I hope they bring it back/revamp it again in the future, but the execution in terms of what video was captured and the lack of content on the editing side really made it fall short of what it could have been.

Editing it as if we're watching it live by jumping between groups is stupid: watching group 1 tee off, then going to group 3's 2nd shot on a previous hole, then going to group 2 on the green, then going to group 1's second shot.
I stopped watching partly through the second hole and just skipped to the end to see who won. If the TH-camrs got their own footage, I'll just watch those if/when they put them out.

Can't say much for the production or the overall "no commentary" of the event, but it sure was great to see my favorite TH-cam golfers (you would call them "content creators.") This video has way more views than a PGA event highlight reel, which should tell them that they should make sure to have more of these events in the future and most of all, take them seriously! I'm almost 70 and still play golf, so I'm not a teenager living vicariously through TH-cam. These guys have personality and resonate with people like the PGA players who don't/won't or not allowed to. Some PGA Tour card holders have played with the TH-cam golfers and it was a blast because we got to know their personalities outside of a tournament. Keep at it, George (and Wes of Bryan Bros), Grant Horvat, Peter Finch, Micah Morris, and Cole (BustaJack!) Congratulations to Matt Atkins!

I’m kind of shocked at the NEGATIVE comments. Sure the audio was bad at times but I thought the angles of shots were better than any of the tours. Someone said some Bob and Coldcuts commentary would be great and I concur but also, there’s nothing wrong with a little quiet in between shots. I mean it’s golf after all.
The HD camera quality along with the silence between made putts and striped balls made for a great ASMR golf video.

@@DwonkaGG my thoughts exactly. I imagine that bunker was intimidating the shot. No spin and rolled out on him. Although in hindsight George probably woulda finessed the shot just fine from the bunker.
@@JeremyBatts Bunker would have def been a more ideal situation for George. I'm just upset and let down that a Mr. cookie cutter 9 to 5, got lucky twice and is now playing in the tour because of it. (He deserves it just as much as anyone else but this storyline blows fat caca.

@Shot_by_Stu he made a cut in the last event he played in....so that argument isn't great...also..if an event wants to draw a bigger or new audience..he is a good choice. Better than inviting someone like Zach Johnson, or one of the other washed up guys that bring in zero attention to the event
