Your first mistake was playing Burns at Squire. I live near there and have played that course many times. You guys arent ready for those greens and that wiry rough.
I believe the reason Riggs has the mental yipps so bad on the course if because he’s lied about his handicap so now he knows in order to keep the facade going he has to play better than he is capable of. If he just said he was a 12 or so handicap like he really is then he would be relaxed and shooting a 90 wouldn’t be a big deal
Riggs problem is his swing is just a really long slap shot, thats why he hits his irons and chips so well, but he's so far inside he can't do anything with the driver.
I love Squire because #1 it’s incredibly beautiful and #2 it’s a second shot course. Even a 20 handicap like me can have fun, but, it still kicks my butt. Like putting on glass.
I met chase burns he was playing at our club in Pearland’s Texas . If Sam is anything like his brother he a super nice guy . We talked for 30 plus minutes
I love seeing different sides of these guys. I’ve never seen Sam outside of tournaments and he’s one of my new favs. I’ve loved his game but now I’m rooting for him

You're right. Riggs pins his left arm so far behind on the backswing, that he gets stuck on the downswing.
