These are the major gimmick mechanics written out if I'm talking too fast and you're having difficulty understanding: 00:54 - At 180 lines of health, the first major gimmick happens. All 8 players are given a black or a white shape. There are 4 shapes, so 2 people will get the same shape, one in black, one in white. At periodic intervals, shapes will be summoned while you’re DPSing Abrelshud that will float across the screen. You must collect a certain number of shapes depending on which shape you were assigned at the start of the mechanic. Circle must collect 2, square is 4, hexagon is 6, and star is 8. If you collect the wrong color shape, it’s considered -1. There will also be patterns that are needles that travel across the screen, homing in on a player for a few seconds before traveling in a straight line that if you’re hit by it, is 50% chance of a black or white shape (so it can help you, or set you back). The other mechanic are long line telegraphs across the entire map that if you’re hit do the same thing as the needle. There are two variants of that, one which also summons a needle which travels in the same direction at a high speed. You must lower Abrelshud to 140 lines of health while collecting the correct number of shapes for every player. It’s common to have the correct number of stacks of your shape only to get screwed over by the last summoning of shapes, needles, and line telegraphs at around 145 lines. If any of the 8 players has an incorrect number of stacks when entering the 140-line gimmick, it’s a guaranteed raid wipe and you must start over. 02:05 - At 140 lines, Abrelshud either has a circle or cross shape underneath her. This helps us determine where we need to stack with the other player to safely place a symbol on the ground for the next pattern. Before we stack, we have to dodge line laser telegraphs twice, with the second one giving us about one full second to converge with the other player. If done successful, all 4 pairs of players place down a symbol in four sections of the map evenly spaced from one another. Abrelshud proceeds to shift the map and one of the 8 players must guide a shaped meteor into the corresponding symbol placed in the previous mechanic. Failing to do so wipes the raid. While doing this, players have to dodge a lot of large AOE telegraphs, the red scary ones which are one-shots. The expanding black hole from the placed meteor also must be avoided, and if the black hole touches another safe spot also triggers a raid wipe. If players are successful at placing all four meteors, then they proceed to the next phase which is a burn from 140 lines to 110 lines of health. 03:03 - At 110 lines of health, Abrelshud ports to the center and a short intermission plays. As two large spheres are being summoned into the map, there are glyphs on the ground which light up which tell us what to do in the next gimmick. The indicate the order in which the three major targets much be neutralized with fatigue damage from our spells. In this video, the left orb must be neutralized first, followed by the right orb, and finally Abrelshud herself must be neutralized. Doing this out of order wipes the raid and taking too long also wipes the raid. At the same time, illusions of Abrelshud can spawn in up to 6 positions (3 above and 3 below). All six must be neutralized with a counter skill within 1 second of appearing. Failing to counter any of these illusions silences the raid and hits everyone with a raid wide, two of which is enough to kill any player. If all illusions are successfully countered and the three main targets are neutralized in the correct order, you move on to the next phase. 03:45 - In the next phase, the two orbs that were just neutralized create two portals that each lead to a different cube mini boss in a separate area. To pass this gimmick, one player must collect 12 white orb buffs in the right portal and four players must collect 3 gold orb buffs in the left portal. The 12 white orb player should be a support since you take increasing damage over time for each white orb collected. At least one player must stay outside to deal with Abrelshud or she immediately casts a raid wipe. Not collecting the right number of orbs will also incur a raid wipe in the next gimmick. During the battle with the cubes, there are needles and line telegraphs that can reduce the number of orbs you’ve collected (needles drop you to 0 stacks in the room where you need 3 gold orbs, line telegraphs reduce the amount that the white orb player has by 1). Once the cube is defeated, players must exit with 2-3 seconds to avoid being killed. 04:39 - After all players have exited, Abrelshud begins the next pattern. She’ll summon a huge ball of energy, and you must break an HP shield on her. Afterwards, lines of light will protrude from 8 different positions. You must maneuver into the liens of light to avoid being silenced, as there is a neutralization check that must be cleared. You must also remember where each of these lines of light are, because at the end of this pattern after the neutralization check has been succeeded, five different safe spots emerge, only one of which is correct to stand in. The safe one is the one that if you remember where all of the lines of light emerged from Abrelshud in the previous pattern, it will form that shape. If players successfully neutralized the boss, stand in the correct safe spot, and have the correct amount of orb buffs on 5 players, they’ll survive the raid wipe that follows afterwards. Lower the boss down from 110 lines down to 90 lines, and players are once again assigned shapes from the 180-line gimmick. You must once again collect the correct number of shapes by the time you reach 50 lines while also avoiding a more dangerous Abrelshud that has access to more deadly spells. 05:34 - At 50 lines, we must once again converge to place symbols on the ground, but instead of line telegraphs, everyone must kite four meteor drops. You have about 1 second after the last meteor drop to stand within proximity of the corresponding shape to place the symbol. Hopefully at this point, everyone has survived and was able to place their symbol to prevent the last 8-player gimmick, as after you successfully guide these meteors into the correct symbol, it’s a burn of the final 50 lines to 0 HP against a torrent of deadly attacks.

I'm glad i can't even launch the damn game. Apparently i need to reinstall Windows. Fuck that. I'm playing something that works and is not this complicated.
For the first few minutes I thought this was a troll video, but then I realized nope, these really are mechanics in the video.... I can't fucking wait to play season 2 content in NA 😍😍😍
@saintone- I just saw the video from stoopz when you said you regret this because it came off as making the game too hard. If anything, its the exact opposite, this is giving people a taste of what to expect come SUPER END GAME and honestly, this makes me want to try the boss because of this video and I am sure it is the same for many.
New World is mostly PvP game and PvP will always be more interesting on very high level. You beat real players, you outplay them and not outplay scripted NPC boss fight. Idk why you guys shit on New World, feeling insecure about Lost Ark? That it will die before even released in EU/NA?
@@pr3287 New World is already slowly dying my guy. Amazon marketed an unfinished game everywhere, people flocked in saw how half-assed it is and slowly left. Lost Ark on the other hand is a game that has been out for almost 4 years already, it's finished and polished with no bugs. Not as many players will be on Lost Ark as at the beginning of New World but definitely, more players will stick with Lost Ark in the long run than New World.
@@pr3287 Everyone is having a good time here, except you. Feeling insecure about New World? That it will die in the forseeable future? Btw calling new world a high level pvp game is kinda cringe with all the bugs and the raw existance of guild wars 2.
Thank you for making this video. Like seriously and unironically. This has vindicated my decision that lost ark isn't the game for me. 👍 Glad I found this early instead of spending time and money and realizing months down the line that I would have to deal with BS like this.
I've cleared ultimate raiding on FFXIV and absolutely adored it, so just from this, I can tell that raids on Lost Ark will be very fun and satisfying for me, too.
Coming back to say I can finally say I beat this gate. This is the video that got me into lost ark and my goal was a gate 6 clear week one of release and I finally did it
This is INSANE!!! Cant recall an rpg with this level of complexity, closest i can think of is perhaps bns. So nice to see an engaging and complex pve coming from BDO. I hope they add large gvgs sieges wich Is the only thing i feel missing; although may be hard to balance and implement w/o being a clusterfuck (with 200-400 players on the same place i mean).
@@uuamenator Exactly, I don't know what these people are talking about. It's like the devs heard 'the more, the better' and really latched onto it. This isn't even complexity, it's just the game equivalent of typing 2000 words for a 500 word paper but not saying anything of substance.
@@serge1617 Honestly, this puts pretty much every wow encounter to shame, and that's coming from someone who used to raid in a top50 guild during H Ulduar when raids had difficult encounters
How you get into the game? It's fun but I'm just having a hard time understanding so much UI and Geming getting mats etc. World is vastly big as well. I Play Diablo and WoW before
Saint i love your stream, love your yt content. Great Video, tyvm! :) I read through the comments and saw you replying to someone that youre going to Talk about raids in general in another Video. I also got a idea for another Video. What about creating a Video that tackles All the different (endgame) content in lost ark? You could Talk about All the content currently avialable. I guess thatd be interest ing. Atleast i am interested a Lot and couldnt find any Video like that so far.
man you & your party got to have all the patience in the world to learn all that sht. first few runs on this mustve been really frustrating with pugs(even with a coord grp it couldve been just as frustrating or fun dying a dozen times xD)
@@RisqueBisquetz it is. The balancing is really good. Pick a class you enjoy and youre set. Also Balance Patches with dev notes get released frequently
Yo I was skeptical about this game but after seeing this raid alone I’m sold I Love ffxiv raids with how chaotic and fun it gets once you know how to fight the boss the only thing I will need to get used to is the holding right click to move and not using wasd as movement
This was the video that got me to play Lost Ark, the promised land of end-game content that I was waiting for the entire time. Now that it is here, the reality is... It wasn't that bad. For prospective new players what I will give is a warning: this is effectively the ONLY end-game content the game has to offer. You'll be doing it for several weeks to complete your set, along with all the old legion raids Valtan/Vykas/Kakul if you want to min/max. Hard Abrelshud/Brelshaza does not come out for another 4 months. Akkan (the next boss) is even longer after that. Combat is fun though.
95% of the players will never clear such a fight lets be honest here. Even if you call yourself expert or pro or whatever or think "nah iam a good player i can do this." Statistics do not lie. Most people are just talk and overestimate themselves - sorry but that is a fact if you want to hear it or not. Most players will fail and if they fail continuously they will leave the game sooner or later. I remember wildstar everyone was hyped for hardcore raids and a few months later everyone compained about the difficulty and the game died. Or maybe this game is just for the 5% audience who are actually able to clear such content - but this will not a good decision economical wise.
You may be right. However, this raid is the end content provided to the top players who have finished all farming. It is always important to provide content to top players, and in MMORPGs, as strategies are shared and users' level rises, these contents will also come down to content for upper and middle hard players someday. ex ) like Kakul-Saydon raid
yup and stuff like this is what will make people quit. same thing with one shot mechanics, it just goes too far to the point where you ask yourself. is it worth doing? if i can't do 100% of the content in a game i will just stop playing that game. and im sure a lot of people feel the same way. just add different difficulty levels instead so everyone can enjoy everything at their own pace. medium, hard mode, and like some insane modes for the competitive playerbase.
Great video, but it also secured my refund lol. I'm too old for this stuff, and I know my limits. I'm at sea level and this stuff is Mt. Everest. Grats to all past/current/future players that can maintain the mental capacity/focus for LA's end game raids.
NA/EU won't get this content for a long time, and honestly there's tons of more casual contents and lesser insane raids that you can do just fine. I suggest you look up more videos about the other content.
Since the top 0.3% of all users are the highest difficulty raids that can be challenged, most users do not play this difficulty. Difficulty for challenging people.
@@즈뮤-z8m so raids like this aren't that mandatory? i appreciate hardcore content, but as a casual this is way too much for me to handle. i just wanna play wack-a-mole with some bosses like monster hunter
@@prostate7462 It's not mandatory to clear what's in the video, no. Because of how Lost Ark's endgame is designed at this stage of progression, it is possible to acquire the same exact materials as someone who can clear these battles, just by clearing some of the easier fights in this raid. They'll just progress at a slower rate, but that's like saying you'll complete the gear set in 3 months instead of 1 month and the next step may be 6+ months away.
With raid out, it is not as difficult as it seems, but since it is narrated at a fast pace, it sure seems like it. Is just overwhelmed when all explain at once. I can imagine you explaining an ULTIMATE like TEA/DSR would look insane but all encounter can be overcome with practice.
The mechanics are for Asians or ppl without lives. Played to T2, but I'm not studying for an exam. Even T2 raids are wiped out like 90% of the time. Happy I didn't bother to swipe, would have regretted it.
I wonder how balanced the reward/challenge/time investment ratio of this content is. Developers make it a nightmare to gather materials in an effort to keep people playing. With logic like "if they get all their endgame gear in 3 months, people will stop playing". When in fact, making frustrating and poor rewarding content ends up being why people quit... idk. This seems borderline. Guess I gotta wait and see the USA's player base reactions and Amazon's response. 🤣
welp... was very overwhelmed when I first saw this a year ago... today clearing G5 hard in just a cpl of pulls on ilvl... game really did get a lot easier with time ^^... and the countless normal clears helped aswell I guess
Honestly, if you have an organized raid group and communicate while doing mechanics and everybody knows what to do next in each "phase". It's not that hard. For hardcore raiders in any other MMO RPG it shouldn't cause that much of a problem. 👊Looks challanging and gonna have hell of a fun! 😁 I love those raid bosses, where you have to use your actual brain. Not just button smashing/skill spamming (as a DPS), until the boss dies. 👀 The reason why it's good, cause probably some people want to do this raid "fast" by a random raid party (LFR) and they gonna fail, so much to the point, that they'll give up. 😧In the long run, these "casuals" (hopefully) will improve, which increase the quailty of raiding.🤔🤗
A straightforward raid overall but I guess we need to feel like hardcore gamers right? Pugs are completing this in Korea without even needing Discord and having done this my self, I can assure you than it doesnt hold up AT ALL compared to the old unerfed versions of wow classic raids. Lost Ark raids are better designed, better balanced and about 10 times easier and less time consuming.
When it comes to NA/EU release, there are a lot of resources in English already. I think a lot of the early game stuff is great for gradually getting people accustomed to Lost Ark combat, so you don't have to worry that it'll be heavily chaotic like in this video. But I think it's more fun to go in blind. You learn pretty quickly what's dangerous, though a quite a few bosses even early on have abstract mechanics (granted a lot of them you can figure out if you just read tooltips).
There's a practice mode, NA/EU won't get this content for a long time, and honestly there's tons of more casual contents and lesser insane raids that you can do just fine. I suggest you look up more videos about the other content.
I feel like they are going to have to simplify this for NA. I would bet that less than 1% of guilds will get anywhere close to clearing this. Raiding is going to be a toxic mess with all these "will wipe the raid" mechanics.
yeah one shot mechanics always suck and the players hate them and dont want them in the game. look at wow as a good example. how many one shot mechanics were there in oldschool wow? vanilla-wotlk? not many at all. how many one shot mechanics exists in retail wow currently? a shitload. if there is no room for failure there is no room for success. maybe 10% of the game will be able to actually complete this if we are being realistic, so they basicly made content for 10% of the playerbase.
Can someone confirm or deny the requiring of a support class(bard/holyknight/gunlancer) or can all the content be done without? Great video man, making me so pumped for this kind of content.
@@Saintone oh! thanks for the reply! I see, but I have friends who want to do it without supports like bard/holyknight/gunlancer, all I'm wondering is if you can. Great content man.
A bard is a mayhem berserkers best friend if you play a zerker. 1 bard heal will heal me for 50% of my hp xD while anyone else without mayhem just get a small heal.
Not too much of a fan of the number of times that "wipes the raid" comes up. Then again, I figure that must be the high end level raiding content that the 1% will tackle so I guess it is purposefully designed for that kind of crowd.
@@sumireravenclaw8034 Well, it's a thing in other MMORPGs too, like Savage Raids in FFXIV or high end raids in WoW (don't know how they work since I don't play, I think it's Mythic?). I mean, 1% is still a lot of people and while only 1% might complete it, maybe 2-3% will attempt it. Though I agree that it is very much designed for that specific hardcore crowd, if it is like those I know of from FFXIV, it is either a much harder and unforgiving version of an existing fight that almost everyone go through anyway, just with a hardcoded time limit (enrage) and much less forgiving mistakes. Only a few are simply made standalone challenges. I can't say how Lost Ark does it though since I'm still waiting for release to even try the game but the logical method would be to take something existing and make a harder version of it with different mechanics.
Great video, but please directly link the Inven text in the description next time - the least you can do for the guide creator who worked very hard is to also provide a link to the source work he created.
There's a pratice mode, also NA/EU won't get this content for a long time, and honestly there's tons of more casual contents and lesser insane raids that you can do just fine. I suggest you look up more videos about the other content.
you're supposed to gradually progress into this.... you're supposed to gear up full set of valtan/biakiss/kukou-saiton(previous endgame raids) sets and upgrade them - meaning weeks and months of gearing up and learning new mechanics that later get included in these newer raids with additional new or changed gimmicks. You're watching people who literally played the game for years(dont need to spend years to gear up to this level tho, lost ark is very kind to new players who come in late in gearing process) that know their class - dont even need to think what skill to use to get X result, dont need to think twice if they can run or use space for future save situation(most of the time), their positioning in better damage spots etc. and how the game works in-out because they spent thousand of hours enjoying it doing the hardest content available for small extra loot increase, so they could gear up their new sets/items in 1 month instead of 2 if you ran normal mode, which is still difficult and is a huge challange for everyone untill you get used to it and it becomes just a fun challange mode. First clear for this raid took ~50 hours of going blind and trying>dying>trying on repeat. now majority of groups clear this whole raid in ~3-4 hours (all 6 raid bosses) so they just dedicate a day or two for 1-4 and then 5-6 phases while doing other stuff inbetween.
@@nzrock1 yeah im aware. :) I did not know about practice mode. Im sure ill attempt it with some people when its available but its a lot to remember haha
Two things about raiding design: 1. Do not overlap your target animation and your character animation. It makes it extremely hard to see and understand the mechanics with a bunch of players. If you play one raid repeatly, it might cause motion sickness due to battle effects, that’s the things Korean MMOs tend to have issues with. 2. They probably need some teamwork of sort. If you just gather a bunch of different ppl to do different strats then the chance to have group mechanics are low. A raid is designed to play in a group, not solo. Though there are some interruptions of sort but mostly they feel the same as you charge to the boss and fight. Fights like this might get very hard to balance and have a good scope of what is good for a fight when most of the time you don’t have much mechanics deal with certain situations and the most important is always the optimization to bring someone into a group and how to handle mechanics.
are the dps windows fair to all classes? looks like slow classes or those with charge-up won't have a lot of time to get their spells through, while bursty pr hypermobile ones have more opportunities to apply their dmg
I'd say that if you can do these fights as an Ignition Sorceress (what I play in the video) you can do them on any class in the game. Ignition Sorceress is the most susceptible class in the game to being interrupted or missing attacks.

I'm glad i can't even launch the damn game. Apparently i need to reinstall Windows. Fuck that. I'm playing something that works and is not this complicated.
Dude Saintone the amount of "failure wipes the raid" is crazy! And this is the easy part! 😱
Another fantastic video though man! 👀
For the first few minutes I thought this was a troll video, but then I realized nope, these really are mechanics in the video.... I can't fucking wait to play season 2 content in NA 😍😍😍
That looks like pure insanity! I can't wait to smash my face on my desk lol. Awesome video Saint!
I can't even imagine myself completing it...
This looks insanely fun. Great video!
"Insanely fun" LMFAO
@@Oboro911 alot of people like the reward of fighting something challenging.
Love that you couldn't hold your laughter at several spots in the video. Yeah, it is quite ridiculous. Fun to watch at least.
It's funny to watch a new world player saying "Ohhh we have to dogde these laser beams, such mechanics dude"
But those hardcore mmo gamers in New World are at the same time also maxing out chest opening.

I guess you could say these guys are the Raiders of the Lost Ark!
Coming back to say I can finally say I beat this gate. This is the video that got me into lost ark and my goal was a gate 6 clear week one of release and I finally did it
Great work!
This was just the video I was looking regarding end game raids
This looks insane wtf. I'm pretty sold on this game holy shit.
This is INSANE!!! Cant recall an rpg with this level of complexity, closest i can think of is perhaps bns. So nice to see an engaging and complex pve coming from BDO. I hope they add large gvgs sieges wich Is the only thing i feel missing; although may be hard to balance and implement w/o being a clusterfuck (with 200-400 players on the same place i mean).
there is gvgs sieges gvevg its just not 200-400 players its 16vs16
that mechanics are ok for wow/ff14 players.
@@uuamenator Exactly, I don't know what these people are talking about. It's like the devs heard 'the more, the better' and really latched onto it. This isn't even complexity, it's just the game equivalent of typing 2000 words for a 500 word paper but not saying anything of substance.
@@uuamenator what is that give us a game with what are u saying ff14 wow?

How you get into the game? It's fun but I'm just having a hard time understanding so much UI and Geming getting mats etc. World is vastly big as well. I Play Diablo and WoW before
Idk why I don't see this as fun to me. Having to learn 50 different mechanics and if you miss one is a wipe.

I read through the comments and saw you replying to someone that youre going to Talk about raids in general in another Video. I also got a idea for another Video.
What about creating a Video that tackles All the different (endgame) content in lost ark? You could Talk about All the content currently avialable. I guess thatd be interest ing. Atleast i am interested a Lot and couldnt find any Video like that so far.

How difficult is raiding in Lost Ark?
Lost Ark : Yes
Creative
it seriously looks like isometric XIV raiding on steroids, love it.
here's hoping the balance between classes is just as tight as XIV's.
@@RisqueBisquetz it is. The balancing is really good. Pick a class you enjoy and youre set. Also Balance Patches with dev notes get released frequently
Meanwhile we solo Path of Exile end game bosses in 3 seconds lol
One of the reasons i left POE
this is completely different type of game...
Yo I was skeptical about this game but after seeing this raid alone I’m sold I Love ffxiv raids with how chaotic and fun it gets once you know how to fight the boss the only thing I will need to get used to is the holding right click to move and not using wasd as movement
And grinding for a At least 10 to 20 weeks, or spending too much money.
SHEESSH FINALLY! I AM NOW EVEN MORE EXCITED
"That was the easy part LOL!" Yeah, this all seems very easy.=
And here I am forgetting my skill key binds ever so often after 20 hrs of playing.
Well, this is cool and all but I'd never want to fight a raid boss like that. Way too much stuff going on.
95% of the players will never clear such a fight lets be honest here.
Even if you call yourself expert or pro or whatever or think "nah iam a good player i can do this."
Statistics do not lie.
I'm pretty decent at MMOs but holy fuck I'd never even try it. Such a fuckign waste of time and development and resources.
Being overcomplicated for the sake of being overcomplicated hard is bad game design.
@@Funkysly2 Some truth to this here, tbf.
yup and stuff like this is what will make people quit.
same thing with one shot mechanics, it just goes too far to the point where you ask yourself. is it worth doing? if i can't do 100% of the content in a game i will just stop playing that game.
and im sure a lot of people feel the same way.
just add different difficulty levels instead so everyone can enjoy everything at their own pace.
medium, hard mode, and like some insane modes for the competitive playerbase.

really epic video sir!
the amount of raid wipe mechanics remind of that simpsons bit "thats a paddlin"
Great video, but it also secured my refund lol. I'm too old for this stuff, and I know my limits. I'm at sea level and this stuff is Mt. Everest. Grats to all past/current/future players that can maintain the mental capacity/focus for LA's end game raids.
NA/EU won't get this content for a long time, and honestly there's tons of more casual contents and lesser insane raids that you can do just fine.
I suggest you look up more videos about the other content.
This is like saying I won't play any sports with my friends because I'll never be like Messi/Lebron.
"that was the door"

Bruh it just kept getting more harder as it went on, I thought the HP was insane but then you kept going lol
door phase before the real fight
This video is so much fun. NA/EU will rage. :D
its weakly i think...
Yo this is the craziest thing I’ve seen lol

Goosebumps every time...😆
Bro each gimmick makes my brain go mushy and you're telling me we have to remember ALL of these for the raid? I'm going to become die...
Q: How difficult is raiding in LOST ARK?
A: Yes!
Love it... :)
welp... was very overwhelmed when I first saw this a year ago... today clearing G5 hard in just a cpl of pulls on ilvl... game really did get a lot easier with time ^^... and the countless normal clears helped aswell I guess
I guess I'll take a notebook with me in raid. There is no way I'll remember this shit until dozen runs done .
The reason why it's good, cause probably some people want to do this raid "fast" by a random raid party (LFR) and they gonna fail, so much
to the point, that they'll give up. 😧In the long run, these "casuals" (hopefully) will improve, which increase the quailty of raiding.🤔🤗
This is HILARIOUS because the difficulty of this raid is INSANE XD
well this looks... beautiful
Yeah, I'll just be collecting some more Mokoko Seeds. Holy shit.
1 hour and 223 mechanics in the real fight begins
Heres a timetime of this video:
0:01 How hard its to raid in lost ark?
0:02 Really fucking hard
This is literally the 1% of playerbase content.
Does the number inflation make it better?
I... can't do that. At all. I have ADHD. I randomly forget things that just happened. (For like, a minute.)
so how is raid and dungeon meta in this game? like one tank 1-2 healers (which one?) and rest any random dps?
holy shit this is sick
The whole vid I am like: "Ummm yeah... I got that yeah..."
A straightforward raid overall but I guess we need to feel like hardcore gamers right?
Pugs are completing this in Korea without even needing Discord and having done this my self, I can assure you than it doesnt hold up AT ALL compared to the old unerfed versions of wow classic raids. Lost Ark raids are better designed, better balanced and about 10 times easier and less time consuming.
is there a resource to learn fights before release? is going in blind more fun?
When it comes to NA/EU release, there are a lot of resources in English already. I think a lot of the early game stuff is great for gradually getting people accustomed to Lost Ark combat, so you don't have to worry that it'll be heavily chaotic like in this video.
But I think it's more fun to go in blind. You learn pretty quickly what's dangerous, though a quite a few bosses even early on have abstract mechanics (granted a lot of them you can figure out if you just read tooltips).
Definitely go in blind
There's a practice mode, NA/EU won't get this content for a long time, and honestly there's tons of more casual contents and lesser insane raids that you can do just fine.
I suggest you look up more videos about the other content.
Insane
Take a shot everytime you hear "wipes the raid"
I started cursing literally 50 seconds into the video
"Congratulations give ypurself a pat pn the back"
why thank y-
"That was the door phase"
IM SORRY THE WHAT 🙃🙃
See I want raiding to be difficult what I am curious is how tied to the enjoyment of the game is it and how hard to get into it is it.
Can someone confirm or deny the requiring of a support class(bard/holyknight/gunlancer) or can all the content be done without? Great video man, making me so pumped for this kind of content.
High-end content will always be easier to do with a support, and every party is always stronger with 1 support than a 4th damage dealer!
@@Saintone oh! thanks for the reply! I see, but I have friends who want to do it without supports like bard/holyknight/gunlancer, all I'm wondering is if you can. Great content man.

mother of god; this is going to be rough and epic!
Not too much of a fan of the number of times that "wipes the raid" comes up. Then again, I figure that must be the high end level raiding content that the 1% will tackle so I guess it is purposefully designed for that kind of crowd.
if only 1% will finish it they should have just put those resources for this raid into something else then to waste it on this garbage.
I can't say how Lost Ark does it though since I'm still waiting for release to even try the game but the logical method would be to take something existing and make a harder version of it with different mechanics.

you're supposed to gradually progress into this.... you're supposed to gear up full set of valtan/biakiss/kukou-saiton(previous endgame raids) sets and upgrade them - meaning weeks and months of gearing up and learning new mechanics that later get included in these newer raids with additional new or changed gimmicks.

Two things about raiding design:
Fights like this might get very hard to balance and have a good scope of what is good for a fight when most of the time you don’t have much mechanics deal with certain situations and the most important is always the optimization to bring someone into a group and how to handle mechanics.
very cool and all but who did the art in the top left corner for ur thumbnail :0
i've seen you on tree of savior, then maplestory 2, and now here you are again! lol have you cleared this raid?
are the dps windows fair to all classes? looks like slow classes or those with charge-up won't have a lot of time to get their spells through, while bursty pr hypermobile ones have more opportunities to apply their dmg
I'd say that if you can do these fights as an Ignition Sorceress (what I play in the video) you can do them on any class in the game. Ignition Sorceress is the most susceptible class in the game to being interrupted or missing attacks.
