Hello from Egypt! I made this cake yesterday and it turned out really delicious. I used a bit of gelatine to stabilize my frosting as it always deflated and turned runny. Thank you for the receipe 🙏❤️
Great recipe thank you. I've taken this and made a "banana split" cake with it: I use two cake pans and bake a thin merengue with toasted coconut on top of each. When cooled, cut into halves for the layers and between the layers, a thin layer of thickened homemade chocolate sauce, then thin layer of thick homemade strawberry sauce and a decent layer of vanilla pastry cream with drained crushed pineapple and whipped cream folded in. I call it "Banana Split Cake", "Hummingbird Headquarters", "Pirate's Holiday", the "The Jolly Rodger" or "Pirate Overboard". 😁

Hello Ella, I'd love to bake this cake for my birthday, and I'd like to ask you a couple questions about its preparation. Unfortunately, I have one 20-inch tin only. Could I bake all the batter at one time and cut it in three disks once its completely cool? Are the rice noodles cooked or raw? Thanks a lot!
Yes..you can definitely cook all the batter at once..might need to adjust the time ..as is more batter in one pan may need to bake longer..make the toothpick test ..must be clean when it comes out.. As for the noodles they are raw..it is just for decoration..you can not eat this one

If there are 4 eggs you can divide the recipe by 4-just use smaller tin to get height
