kinda lost my faith in fifa/ its community. am i the only one who wants to play as realistically as possible? i dont wanna see bs skill moves, bs stuff. i just wanna feel the joy of making the right choices, passes and moves and creating chances and taking a correct position, doing a timely tackle. joy of football i play at life. as close as possible. thats it. meta, bs rainbow skills, arcady gameplay, pacey players and pace spammers. WHAT ARE THESE?

is it just me or passing and player change is horrible in Fifa 23 ? It happens to me to move the left stick to front-upwards and my player passes the ball front-downwards.... totaly opposite way that i select... (and this kind of bad passing happens often, in Fifa 21-22 dindt happend this often) When defending, trying to select the defender that faces the opponent or a defender that is in a position that can take the ball from him, and it selects for me a player that is behind the opponent with the ball... (also tried the right stick player change but also not working well) (sry for my english)
Omg bro I thought this was only me. I remember when I first got the game and the passing was horrible. I just thought I had to get used to the game because at the time the game felt a lot slower than fifa 22 for me. Till this day I still have the same issue. Then I thought it was the setting where you can change your pass last second ( I forgot what it’s called) and i would accidentally move my stick , but that never helped. I don’t even know what to say about the player switching, it’s horrendous for me.
There is no real way to play (on orange or red). The FUT defense is manually (jockey and R3 - your AI defense watch the situation hh) - good rival will recognize the delay and start scoring very easy goals. On attack, simple gameplay could work.
You gtta work with what u have...skill only when you can create space...shoot when you're sure...u will subconsciously become a possession player but thats how u get to manage a game with high ping...vs skillers its different 🤣 just dont go to them cz u will always miss a tackle cz of reaction time vs online input time🔥🚮
Free tip: try fake a power shoot from the outside of enemy 18-20 meters opponent goal and just do a chip pass to you”re atacker. Works wonders, most players will second man press and come manual to defend the shoot. U get a free goal 1 out of 2 games for sure. Thank me later

What you ought to recognize however is that there is a sizeable audience (market) out there yearning for a more grounded sim football experience. One in which real football knowledge, understanding and good decision making are key to success on the virtual pitch. As it is currently we stuck adjusting sliders and playing offline.
