There are many awesome puppers you can get. One is from a quest, another few are found and rescued while on Demios, it is where I got my little fox whom I love.
There's been a debate about the difficulty of the new player experience. How hard did you think the game was? Were enemies too easy, being mowed without care? Or did you feel pushback, where the foes were a threat? I'm quite interested in your thoughts and opinions.
You know. I'm working on a follow up video that goes over the experience as a new player who is solo versus with friends. I think I could include those answers in depth in the next one!
For it to be a debate there would have to be a definitive answer to when the tutorial ends... Some say Second Dream, some say New War, some say the end of the normal star-chart. The asinine argument is invalid since you can pretty much run into a Teralyst at night on the Plains right near the start, or the Exploiter Orb patrolling around the Temple of Profit on Orb Vallis. You can struggle to fight Vay Hek and Sargas Ruk on your own if you don't understand how the fights work, Lech Kril's tubes can be annoying as well. The Ropalolyst can be difficult also, that's only on Jupiter... The fact of the matter is, 80% of the enemies are supposed to be easy fodder for the OP space ninja. The mobs only really start getting more dangerous when you start fighting Parvos' Corpus (those electric ospreys on the Parvos tilesets will mess you up bad if given the chance) and the Kuva Grineer are no joke. The Infested also have a few mobs that will mess you up if you're not careful too, those Mutalist Ospreys with that toxic cloud attack and the toxic ancients can burp on you if you stay stationary or stop killing for a second or two. And lets face it, the Earth's moon, Lua, is accessible pretty early on too, and we both know what enemies are waiting for new players there, yeah the early-game isn't too easy at all....
@@Helzakath I mean yeah, you can run into a Teralyst or an Orb Mother at any time, but since you cannot fight them until you reach certain points in your progression, they're more of an environmental threat and a very easy to avoid one at that. Also, the average player doesn'tget to Lua until Second Dream, that's not early on. Yes, there's memes about it being the end of the tutorial, but it's still mid-game content. I'd say it's probably roughly the cut-off point to where the early game truly ends. That said, there's definitely earlier difficulty spikes. There's these electric Moas in the Orb Vallis that will hit you with a guaranteed electric proc that's got a high likelyhood of just outright killing new players who don't know how to effectively mod for survivability or lack the mods. Infested can be nasty since they're your first run-in with toxic damage and you can do the Deadlock Protocol pretty early on, which features some very nasty fights towards the end.
@@darthplagueis13 yeah, that's why I said what I said at the start, different players say different things when it comes to the tutorial phase of the game. But just like how nobody is ever ready for starting Steel Path, nobody is ever ready for running into those things on Lua either, no matter how far through the game they think they are. It's also worth noting that since new players won't know what an Eidolon or Orb Mother is, and if they're not put off by their sounds or appearance, they might try to have a go and find out the hard way lol, that's all I'm saying. The game does ease you into the game nicely but there's some big shocks early on, especially if you're ballsy enough or try to progress too fast haha. and about the Deadlock Protocol, looking back now I don't think I could go into the Granum Void without my Mesa hahaha and you do have to do some pretty intricate things to beat her with the time-manipulation.
I think just running into a Tusk Thumper with a Braton and Kunai would be bad enough lol, but yeah those Moas are a pain, but so are those bigger Raknoids, especially the Kyta if you're not prepared for it xD. Personally, I do adore Warframe for the sandbox-y, open feel to it, but one word above all else; Potential. I was a former Destiny player because of the exotics, the things that did cool stuff, especially ones that worked well with other stuff. In Warframe, every individual weapon and Frame feels like an Exotic that can synergize in some way. I'm hoping it's not too much of a change, but if they do I'd love to see a mini-quest sheerly about status' for new players. Secondly, one thing that I'd wished I'd known as a new player is that you can press the icon with the next quest's step attached in the upper right to jump to your next quest location when one is active. The story gets quite good up to what they have right now. The Missions get less coherent as you go. At some point it turns into Dynasty Warriors where the meta weapon and abilities are measured in kills per second. Some people really do not vibe with the power fantasy and feel like they're being cheated of a challenge. But theres tons of ways to self limit to add difficulty. Also, treat the base star chart as the tutorial. you're really not going to interact with most systems and mechanics until you complete the entire map, After that you'll begin to feel comfortable with most things in the game to start building a strong arsenal.
I first tried the game years ago, I looked at what I needed to do and wanted to have and gave up almost immediately... I Rejoined from scratch a month ago and now just counting the frames I have gotten Rhino, Ember, Titania, Gauss, Nekros, Sevagoth, Yureli, Zephyr, Hildryn and Umbra Excalibur. In a couple days I started with Volt. I gave up because I didn't think I could get all this cool stuff, I actually got this stuff with a decent amount of ease. The grind for some of these were absolutely brutal but amazingly fun. I am proud of what I got now. The game gives good ways for you to not buy plat yourself, but they did such a good job that I really wanted to buy plat for the awesome content and certain things (like extra slots.) Thank you if you read my rant.
@@HeyItsJali long story short I enjoy her. I got her from helping the vent kids on Fortuna, I just did the one race a bunch of times to gain standing she is also in the circuit (weekly change on about 3 frames you can grind easier for. It requires duviri be completed.) I have been leveling her up and playing her recently. Everyone said she wasn't strong but she seems great to me, it seems like on higher difficultly a lot of frames become less viable but still good. The things I like about her are that her energy with Flow is over 500. She comes with her own special hoverboard that gives her damage reduction and pretty fast mobility even in levels, she can use her abilities and secondary weapon while on the board. Her ultimate ability is a really good cc that pulls your enemies into one place and does a good amount of damage, you can attack them while they are in there. Her one ability spins water blades around herself, these blades are great with melee weapons. Her first ability sort of works like a smaller ultimate that seeks out enemies, not to strong but still useful. Hope you enjoy.
